Manx the cat spies on Janine, who's having Slimer hang a painting for her. He startles Slimer into hammering his finger by yowling, so Janine cheers him up with an ice cream sundae. Manx, wanting ice cream too, gets Janine's attention by making noise and then bandages himself up so she'll think he's injured. Slimer isn't fooled, but Janine is, and tucks him up in a cat bed.
Slimer tries to tell Janine that Manx is faking, but she doesn't believe him and has him give Manx a tall sandwich. She then has Slimer babysit Manx while she goes back to work, but he bothers Slimer by listening to music too loudly so Slimer can't listen to his own music. He tries getting rid of Manx by putting oil under his cat bed and putting him with a hockey club, but is forced to punt him back into the kitchen when Janine enters, hearing the noise. She berates him for not being "nice" to Manx.
Later, Manx raids the fridge, and Slimer stops him by hooking him with a fishing line. However, Manx grabs Janine, who demands Slimer put Manx back, give him the fish he tried to steal, and apologise to him. Later, Manx goes to raid the fridge again, so Slimer photographs him.
He then gloats, "You're in trouble now, Manx!", so Manx angrily chases him. Slimer traps Manx by getting his bandage stuck in the fridge door, but he continues to chase, dragging the fridge behind him. He crashes downstairs with the fridge and is caught by Janine, who also saw the photos.
She puts him in the trash, apologises to Slimer, and feeds him ice cream.
