Max and Miranda go undercover to infiltrate a criminal gang
Max Winter: Goodbye, partner. I had fun.
Miranda Blake: Did you?
Max Winter: Of course. I mean, three people had to die, but apart from that... Well, what the hell, they were bad people. You'll be OK?
Miranda Blake: I'm always OK.
Miranda is sent to escort a criminal-turned-witness back to the UK from Mallorca, but it all goes wrong at Palma airport when the witness is shot. Miranda is ordered to return to London, but takes some annual leave to remain and fools local police chief Inés Villegas into allowing her to investigate the situation. She is reluctantly partnered with Max and together they question the man's gang members and family, leading to a dramatic clifftop confrontation.
