The Tobin men try and get a severely in pain Beef to go see a doctor. While the Tobin girls go hunting for the person marked in a grave that only says 'Wife'.

Tropes:

  • Artistic License – History: In-Universe. One of Honey's dreamt up scenarios about "Wife" is that she was essentially the inventor of Logrolling, with her husband taking the credit and she and other women being kept from competing even though she was both the first to do it and the best at it. In reality, the sport was the result of male lumber workers who had to move logs that were being transported via rivers when they got jammed up, who had to balance on top of them to keep dry and who turned it into a competition. The first competitions were organized and sponsored by the lumber companies, whereas Honeybee's story paints it as a purely grassroots affair and never even mentions lumber companies. This can all be chalked up to her not knowing the specifics of the sport when making it up on the spot.
  • Couch Gag:
  • Dateless Grave: Inverted. Honeybee finds a grave with the year 1888, but the name is merely "Wife". Her obsession with finding out who was buried there makes up the B-plot.
  • Got Me Doing It: After complaining about Wolf and Beef constantly making accidental innuendoes, Ham makes one himself to his chagrin.
  • I Just Want to Be Special: When Honeybee's friend Veronica thinks she left everything behind in Fresno to become someone's wife in Alaska, Honeybee gets offended by the notion of that's just what she is and becomes obsessed with finding out what "Wife" did before she died to ensure herself she won't end up forgotten and being only known as a wife. Judy reminds her that she's a legend in Lone Moose for becoming an interim mayor, getting attacked by an eagle, and getting into a slap fight with a drifter. Later, Honeybee learns that "Wife" is actually Manifred Wife who's actually a serial killer who killed several people, including her husband, but despite learning this horrific fact, Honeybee is happy to learn that Manifred was more than just a wife.
  • Ignored Expert: After Beef seems to get better on his own, Dr. Callahan warns him the lack of pain he's feeling might be temporary and pain could come back at any time. Beef ignores him and tries to leave, only for the pain to return and paralyze him again.
  • Kinda Busy Here: When Beef suffers a heart attack on his snowmobile and he falls off it and can't move, he tries to crawl to his phone to call for help. Unfortunately, Londra calls him at that moment and he tries to ignore her call but accidentally hits answer. Londra ends up talking over Beef as he's in too much pain to ask for help and he passes out after Londra finishes talking with him.
  • Lampshade Hanging: Ham of all people notes how Wolf and Beef never seem to notice the accidental innuendos they keep making, questioning if they can hear themselves speak.
  • Mistaken for Name: Inverted; after the Tobin women leave flowers and a pepperoni pizza at “Wife”’s grave, they realize there’s another grave next to it with the tombstone reading “Bartholomew Wife”, revealing that Wife is actually a last name. When they return to the library with this new information, they discover that it’s actually supposed to be pronounced “We-fay” and that Manifred Wife was a serial killer who had 17 victims, including her own husband.
  • Mortality Phobia: Beef admits the reason he is afraid of the doctor's is that he is worried they will tell him his days are numbered and he will miss out on the rest of the kids' lives.
  • Pop-Culture Pun Episode Title: The episode title is a reference to the James Bond film, Dr. No.
  • Sick Episode: Beef is suffering from crippling pains but refuses to see a doctor. Instead, he goes to "Alaska's Doctor", a water pipe he claims has magical curative powers. In the end, he becomes immobilized by pain and has no choice but to go to a doctor.
  • Special Guest: Jon Hamm returns as Beef's heart, Dennis, again.
  • Too Dumb to Live: When Honeybee, Judy, and Dirt are doing research on the town’s history in the library, Honeybee finds a mention that some very unprepared British settlers joined some other “European idiots” in the 1800s.
Judy: Yeah, dumb white people was definitely the earliest Lone Moose vibe.

♫ Hey, there, lady, sitting and pouting
Hey, there, woman, just a-sitting and a-doubting
I think you're perfect within and without and hey
Get onto my log
Oh, when we're on the log, our worries cannot find us
A stump beneath our feet, the past so far behind us
Spinning down the river, footloose and fancy-free
Am I the log or is she me?
Birch or elm, maple or sycamore
I like to hop on with a gal or two or four
Let's take our log to Paris or the Jersey Shore
Hey, get onto my log. ♫
