- Actually Pretty Funny: Elder Kettle actually found the car battery prank the boys pulled pretty funny, mostly because they haven't been fighting for a while. However, he has another reason after stepping out to get his mustache waxed...

Mugman: [Beat] I've never seen fingertip bullets.
Cuphead: Oh ho ho, it's happening somewhere! Believe you me! - Bears Are Bad News: A bear is later seen taking the basket away when Cuphead and Mugman refuse to answer the door. Though ferocious, it's subverted as he's pretty civil and comes back to apologize as he returns the basket after taking a regular bottle of milk.
- Bee Afraid: A random bee stings Mugman's nose just because it can. More mischief than malice.
- Bowel-Breaking Bricks: When they believe that Baby Bottle has been eaten by a bear, Cuphead and Mugman are so scared that they pour milk out of their straws.
- Everyone Has Standards: When a bear takes the basket with, supposedly, Baby Bottle inside, Cuphead decides that their problem is solved, but Mugman convinces him to rescue Baby. They can't stand the baby but, as far as Mugsy is concerned, it's still a baby.
- Paranoia Fuel: The boys decide that if they don't answer the door, they won't be obligated to pick up Baby Bottle again. As they pass the time, they become more paranoid, expecting the baby to try something. It's later revealed that Elder Kettle invoked this as payback for the boys pranking him earlier.
- Plank Gag: As the Cups walk around the woods looking for Baby Bottle, the two end up walking back-to-back and Cuphead accidentally hits Mugman with the bat he's carrying for protection.
- Rage Quit: The Cups play checkers to avoid answering the door. When Cuphead wins, Mugman, who can't contain the urge to open the door, angrily flips the checkers board.
- The Reveal: It turns out the first basket the boys see was set up by Elder Kettle, who reveals that it was just a regular bottle of milk.
- Riddle for the Ages: Why did Baby Bottle come back?
- Suddenly Speaking: The growling bear shows up near the end, talking for the first time and letting the family know that they shouldn't leave foods or drinks (in this case, milk) out for animals like him to take.
- Yo Yo Plot Point: Cuphead and Mugman try their best to defy repeating the events of "Baby Bottle". Also, Elder Kettle heads for another mustache waxing and the boys fight while he's away, both of which kickstarts both episode plots.
