  • Anti Climax Cut: The freakish Boric Brothers openly boast how they'll annihilate the undercover spies while badmouthing Twilight. It then cuts to them being severely defeated by Fiona.
  • Bluff the Eavesdropper: Loid and Fiona communicate via knock signals when they realize they are being monitored in the lobby.
  • Cliffhanger: The episode ends with Twilight and Nightfall deciding to step up their game to defeat the Meddling Twins.
  • Dark Secret: The Zacharis Dossier is said to contain dark and morbid secrets that can relate to either the West or East. Finding the Dossier would result in a reignition of war between the two states.
  • Fight Clubbing: Fiona learns that underground tennis matches are held below the manor that houses the prized painting. She convinces Twilight to join her as her partner so they can compete and find a way inside.
  • Fixing the Game: The Campbell Siblings have had their opponents inhale toxic gases to weaken them during their respective matches. They also have one of the game moderators manipulate their opponent's side of the field to ruin their shots.
  • Gonk: The Boric Brothers become giant, unsettling freaks of nature after taking their drugs.

  • Heist Episode: Agents Twilight and Nightfall are tasked with breaking into Erik Zacharis' mansion to obtain a portrait that contains clues to a highly controversial set of documents.
  • Imagine Spot: Nightfall often imagines herself winning the tournament followed by Twilight falling madly in love with her.
  • Insecure Love Interest: Yor starts to worry over how deep Fiona's relationship is with Loid and how she could potentially steal him from her.
  • Loving a Shadow: Subverted. Fiona realizes that Twilight is losing his edge by playing house and is changing from the cool spy she fell in love with. Despite this, she still loves him no matter how much he changes.
  • MacGuffin: The artifact of interest that Twilight and Fiona must obtain is a painting called "The Lady in the Sun".
  • Murder the Hypotenuse: Yor briefly considers eliminating Fiona after realizing how she could take away her Happily Married life. But she quickly shoots down the idea before it can fester.
  • Oh, Crap!: Anya gets one when her mom thinks to herself how her daughter knew what she was worried about.
  • Paper-Thin Disguise: Of the name variant. The spy duo's undercover names are "Twain and Nafalia Phony".
  • Seen It All: Twilight confides in Nightfall that he's had many partners who unfortunately died after losing control and not taking better care of their health.
  • Super Serum: The Boric Brothers use a doping agent called OSO-R that's designed to improve their athletic abilities.
  • There Are No Rules: Fiona mentions how the underground tennis tournament allows its competitors to use any dirty-handed methods of their choosing throughout their gameplay. From advanced sports equipment to steroids to outright cheating.
  • Trash Talk: The two hulk opponents are trash-talking Loid and Fiona before their game.
  • Violently Protective Girlfriend: Played With. Fiona wishes she was Twilight's girlfriend, but she lives up to the role by eradicating the Boric Brothers after they badmouthed her precious Twilight.
