(CWi Episode: "Pegasus Revealed")

Thanks to an age reversing spell cast by PallaPalla, Chibi-Usa accomplishes her dream of becoming a true adult. But this gets her in trouble with Pegasus who wants to leave her because she "lost her way". So Chibi-Usa has to go back to the Dream World and confront him, learning more about his backstory in the process.

Tropes in this episode include:

  • Anthropomorphic Food: PallaPalla summons Pero Pero, a Lemures who starts out as a giant ball of candy that multiplies with every attack she sustains.
  • Be Careful What You Wish For: Both Moon and Chibi Moon complain to each other that they wish to be a kid and adult respectively. PallaPalla grants them their wish but at the cost of no longer being able to summon Pegasus.
  • Call-Back: Mercury's water attack neutralizes the candy themed monster and saves everyone's keisters, just like with Marzipan.
  • The Cameo: Unazuki can be spotted on stage during a public kissing competition.
  • Cold Open: The story starts with Chibi-Usa narrating to herself about her longing to be a grown up so she can get her First Kiss. It then cuts to her in present time having completed her studying while Usagi watches her.
  • Dream Land: Along with greeting her in an enchanted forest, Pegasus takes Chibi-Usa to see Elysion, a magical place that is run by the dreams of humans. But unfortunately, Elysion has turned into a place of ruin and despair after the Dead Moon Circus attacked them in the hunt for the Golden Crystal.
  • Dream Sequence: Teenage Chibi-Usa dreams of making her way through the city before reaching the enchanted forest to meet Pegasus after she fails to summon him earlier.
  • "Everybody Dies" Ending: PallaPalla's puppet show ending with all the characters, including the evil sorcerer. The Cloverway dub downplays it with only the villain dying.
  • Fountain of Youth: PallaPalla's magic allows her to turn Usagi into a child again and Chibi-Usa into a teenager.
  • Friend-or-Idol Decision: Chibi-Usa learns that because her dream of being a grown up was influenced by Dead Moon magic, Pegasus will no longer be able to reach out to her. Fearful that she'll never see him again, Chibi-Usa rushes back to him and regains her child form.
  • Hypocritical Humor: Sailor Moon starts her In the Name of the Moon speech by chastising PallaPalla for harming children who haven't finished their homework.
Chibi Moon: Hey, sounds like someone I know.
  • Internal Reveal: Pegasus explains to Chibi-Usa that he comes from a Dream Land called Elysion and namedrops the Dead Moon Circus who are after the Golden Crystal.
  • Living Toys: PallaPalla summons toy sized Lemures to attack the Sailor Guardians after failing to summon Pegasus.
  • Look Behind You: Fed up with unwanted constructive criticism, PallaPalla tricks her child audience to look at the candy tree behind them. This allows her to shoot them all with her Shot Gun Special.
  • Meta Guy: PallaPalla's audience criticizes her puppet show for her lackluster writing and abrupt ending.
  • Mythology Gag: PallaPalla reversing the heroes' ages is just like in the manga, only it happened in the first chapter of the new Story Arc.
  • Nice Job Breaking It, Hero: While confronting PallaPalla, Moon and Chibi Moon get into an argument over whether it's better to be an adult or a kid. This inspires PallaPalla to use her Opposite Orb move to switch their ages.
  • The Reveal: Pegasus reveals himself in human form as Helios, the boy who guards over the Dream World and protects the Golden Crystal.
  • Oh, Crap!: Teenage Chibi Moon gets this when she realizes that her Twinkle Yell move has no effect.
  • Playboy Bunny: Pero Pero's human form resembles a lovely woman with a rabbit themed costume.
  • Shout-Out: After seeing that Usagi and Chibi-Usa have switched ages, Mamoru asks if he's on Candid Camera. In the Viz Dub, he asks if he's being Punk'd.
  • Talking in Your Sleep: After the curse is lifted, Usagi dreams about Rei strangling her when in truth this is because she outgrew her pajamas.
  • The Un-Reveal: It's never explained how PallaPalla lured a bunch of children in the middle of the night to take out their Dream Mirrors.
  • Wham Episode: This episode goes into detail with Pegasus coming from another world, him being held prisoner by Nehelenia, and what his true form looks like.
  • Wham Shot: Just when it looks like Chibi-Usa is about to kiss Pegasus, it then shows his true humanoid form, Helios.
