Ikki is called in by FENIX to eliminate the Cheetah Deadman from its host before it incites even more chaos. However, his blistering speed throws Revice in for a loop, leading to George giving him the Jackal Vistamp as a countermeasure. Kagero is watching behind the scenes, deadset on killing Ikki no matter the costs. Meanwhile, Hiromi is observing the situation, ready to take the next step while proving his innocence.

Tropes

  • Actually Pretty Funny: The end of the episode has Ikki trying hard not to crack up over Vice's attempts at making a portmanteau of passionate and nosy. One of the suggestions is "passi-ossy".
  • Affectionate Gesture to the Head: Revi pats Vice on the helmet during their fight with Cheetah Deadman.
  • Be Careful What You Wish For: Both played for laughs and for drama.
    • Vice complains that George's proposed Jackal Genome design for him didn't look good and demanded something cooler. To get back at him, George secretly modifies the Genome such that it turns Vice into a skateboard.
      • For extra points, it's based on Ex-Aid, whose unconventional design has been a dividing topic even before the series started airing.
    • Daiji has apparently been so absolutely done with Ikki's antics at some point that he wished for his brother to cease existing. Nothing more than an angry stray thought that he mostly forgot until recently, but Kagero is dead set on making it a reality.
  • Big "NO!": Daiji's anguished scream when shattering the mirror from which is Kagero taunting him.
  • Devil in Plain Sight: Julio is still watching Sakura as she trains in the dojo.
  • Exact Words: Vice hates the Jackal Genome design for him, insisting that it should be fast, sleek and Totally Radical. George redesigns it to turn him into a skateboard, which certainly fits all three.
  • Finger Gun: As seen in the picture above, possessed Daiji mimes shooting Ikki in the back.
  • Frame-Up: Daiji is blamed for the Vistamp theft, which is only half right and Karizaki and Wakabayashi know that.
  • Heel Realization: The thieving students whom the Cheetah Deadman protects eventually realize their wrongdoing and turn themselves in to the police. However, the Deadman is having none of it.
  • The Man in the Mirror Talks Back: How Daiji comes to know about his Demonic Possession. Kagero's gloating about the situation then leads to Rage Against the Reflection.
  • O.O.C. Is Serious Business: Hiromi is Properly Paranoid about Daiji's increasingly odd behavior, like creepy giggles and random fainting besides other things. Unfortunately, Karizaki and Wakabayashi convince him that it's his fault that Daiji's mental stability took a nosedive after seeing his botched up attempt to transform in #1.
  • Red Herring: The show hints early on that the user of the Cheetah Vistamp was one of the four thief students. However, it turns out that the user was the dad of one of the thieves instead.
  • Screw the Rules, I Have Money!/Screw the Rules, I Make Them!: Cheetah Deadman's contract holder tries to bribe the Fenix officers that came to arrest him and when it doesn't work, he makes a futile attempt at ordering them to let him go.
