J-WITCH and the J-Team face off with the resurrected and empowered Shendu in a Final Battle for the sake of Meridian and the universe.
- Adaptational Badass: In addition to the Talismans, Shendu also absorbs Tarakudo's mask and gains control over all nine Shadowkhan tribes. In canon, he only ever controlled the Ninja Khan.
- All Your Powers Combined: Shendu's resurrection sees him granted the Heart of Meridian and all twelve Talismans, and he soon after also absorbs Tarakudo's mask to control all nine Shadowkhan tribes as well.
- Beam-O-War: A variant. Shendu counters the elemental chi magic that the Guardians are trying to use to seal him by conjuring an endless column of Shadowkhan and flinging it at them.
- Big "NO!": Shendu, as he's resealed.
- Chekhov's Gun: Back in "A Dramatic Ambush", it was established that the Heart of Kandrakar was used to seal Shendu in stone. That happens again here.
- Curb-Stomp Battle: Empowered by the Talismans and the Heart of Meridian in addition to his own demon abilities, Shendu easily dominates the other villains.
- Death by Adaptation: Cedric is killed by Shendu.
- De-power: Like in canon, Wong is stripped of his magic by Uncle, who also does the same to Phobos.
- Destination Defenestration: Shendu throws Miranda and Wong through windows and far away from the castle in a show of force.
- Eviler than Thou: Shendu easily usurps the Big Bad mantle from the other villains.
- For Want Of A Nail:
- Shendu kills Cedric and tosses Miranda far away from the castle, inadvertently keeping her from being arrested.
- Phobos is permanently stripped of his magic alongside Wong by Uncle.
- Hijacked by Ganon: As mentioned above, just like canon Shendu reclaims the position of Big Bad just in time for the seasonal climax.
- In-Universe Catharsis: Caleb punches a depowered Phobos, giving him a black eye, and states afterwards that it felt very good.
- Punch Catch: The reborn Shendu does this with both of Cedric's fists, to show off just how much more powerful he is.
- "The Reason You Suck" Speech: Shendu gives a speech to Phobos, calling him out for how petty his motives and actions ultimately are.
- When Elyon stands up to him, he gives her a speech on being a Horrible Judge of Character. However, Elyon acknowledges this and says she doesn't expect them to forgive her, but she'll do what she can to make things right.
- Season Finale: The final chapter of Season 1.
- Stripped to the Bone: Shendu uses his combustion powers to reduce Cedric to a charred skeleton.
- Wham Shot: Shendu killing Cedric.
- Wrong Genre Savvy: The girls and Jackie try to cut off Shendu's head, thinking that it will kill him or at least slow him down. It buys them a few seconds before his head grows back.
