On school picture day, Fanboy and Chum Chum trade their noses, but Fanboy becomes jealous when Chum Chum uses his nose to do all sorts of things, and Chum Chum’s nose has a bad cold.

- Good-Times Montage: One where Chum Chum tries out all the fun things he can do with Fanboy's nose, such as a scarf trick, a ping-pong ball, a jackhammer, and a jetpack, all while the observing Fanboy is jealous.
- Green-Eyed Monster: Fanboy becomes one after Chum Chum gets all the attention wearing his nose, while Chum Chum's gives him a cold.
- I Gave My Word: At the beginning of the episode, Fanboy decides he and Chum Chum switch their noses for Picture Day; he keeps that word and has to remind Chum Chum when he asks for his nose back when he insults it. Later on when Fanboy starts to get sick and begins to agree they should switch back, Chum Chum sticks to the promise and has to use the nose to play back both a voice recording and a hologram recording so he can remember.
- Irony: Fanboy wanted his nose back out of jealousy, but earlier Chum Chum wanted his nose back when Fanboy started insulting it.
- LEGO Body Parts: Fanboy and Chum Chum's noses.
- Paper-Thin Disguise: Fanboy disguises himself as the nurse to try and get his nose back; Chum Chum doesn't find out until he sneezes his mask off.
- Picture Day: The episode takes place on Class Picture Day at school and revolves around FB and CC switching their noses for the picture.
- Punctuated! For! Emphasis!: Chum Chum screams, "GIVE! ME! BACK! MY! NOSE!" after Fanboy insults it, just before revealing Fanboy's nose can do lots of fun tricks.
- Second Episode Morning: Being the second segment of the first episode, it opens with the titular boys waking up on their Class Picture Day.
- Showdown at High Noon: FB and CC's standoff in the nurse's office parodies this, complete with an Eyed Screen and western music.

- Vocal Dissonance: Francine's voice in this episode sounds different than her later appearances. This is because she is voiced by Annie Mumolo instead of Candi Milo for this episode.
