Recap / Calvin And Hobbes The Series S 1 E 12 Full Moon Full Baloney

Go To

The episode opens with Calvin scaring some little kids by convincing them that their candy is going to eat them, with the help of Hobbes. The tables are soon turned when Socrates shows up, dressed as a monster, to scare Calvin. Soon after, they hear an eerie song...

"Oh we are very happy where we are.
We have many things to do.
This song is the result of very hard work
Listen to the song, from very far."

Freaked out, they go trick-or-treating, where Calvin complains about the lack of scariness in girls' costumes. After eating their candy, Calvin realizes that their parents are asleep... and there's something in the basement! In their panic, the two end up separated, Calvin finding Hobbes in the basement and mistaking him for a ghost. After that, the duo then find the ghost from earlier, singing the full version of the song above.

It notices them, Hobbes vanishing once again, and Calvin escapes handily. The next morning, the two awake to Mom's yelling, and Calvin loses his candy. The ghost never returned again.
