While overall a lighthearted series there's still some pretty unsettling moments:
- In "Rise and Shine Sleepyhead" at the ending after destroying Sleepyhead he reforms from the goo and turns into a One-Winged Angel and then attacks the camera.
- In "Like a Happy, Happy Bird" the mysterious mask figure they call Tony Stanza appearing from behind Ansi out of nowhere.
- Also the fight between Tony Stanza and the Tiger Snake Mimsy covered by shadows.
- The Jump Scare the parent Flutter Skull gives when it appears hanging from the ceiling in "Today Was Wassome".
- In "Spacefish" the Moon Fish is a Super-Persistent Predator that turns invisible and doesn't give up to eat Andrei, and it was just a baby with a few minutes after being hatched.
- In "It's the Mid-Season the Finale" a storm of Rainbow Gas makes everyone in The Wayne sleep and Tony tries to warn Saraline about the situation and gives her two options and shows her the results of her decisions; If she chooses to save Andrei from the Spy the Storm wil destroy The Wayne and if she tries to help her friends the Spy will take control of an army of vampires.
- In "Hit It, Toofus!", when the Spy and Flowershirt appear in Andrei's aparment and she tells him that she knows about his past the episode ends with Andrei talking with her and Flowershirt slowly closing the apartment's door while they talk.
- In "Wall-to-Wall Ping-Pong Ball" when the team brings Andrei to the Stanza they are attack by a ninja that easily defeats them and they can only try to escape. This is somewhat disminished after learning that she is Clara's granddaughter.
- When they find Andrei's books and use a machine to turn its words into images it shows images of vampires killing people when they invaded the Wayne, Andrei is horrified and turns it off.
- The ninja Goodness almost being crushed by the Stanza's bookshelves as Clara can only watch helplessly how her granddaughter is in danger until Andrei saves her.
- Is revealed that Mrs. Clara doesn't like vampires because she fought a war against them, and is willing to stab Andrei even after he saved her granddaughter.
- Buckles the Clown from"8:08:08" is one of the few scary monsters in The Wayne. Imagine Slenderman with a clown suit, a Long Neck, Black Eyes of Evil and has a creepy circus leitmotif. When it appears it bends backwards and rotates its head walking in all fours then is revealed to have a Belly Mouth with sharp teeth and the buttons on its chest turn into Combat Tentacles. Is very clear why Saraline considers her last birthday where it performed the worst ever.
- In the first season finale, Ansi seemingly falling to his death along with Sleepyhead. Thankfully, he survives.
- Finding out how Katherine Alice lost her voice: After defeating Mrs. Clara and nearly stealing the Arcsine Prismal notices that a then-toddler Katherine Alice saw everything and stole her voice to make sure she wouldn't tell anyone.
- Admittedly, she's kind of lucky that's all Prismal thought to do to her instead of thinking in the lines of Leave No Witnesses. And it was ultimately reversible.
- In "We're the Wayniacs" the episode ends with Prismal, The Spy and Masterson kidnapping Katherine-Alice after discovering that she has the Arcsine's powers and she's too weakened to defend herself.
- The very end of the series plays on this, as Mr. Majestic is now possessed by the last remnants of Prismal and the dark beam.
- The fact that Wayne Phenomena in general are able to cause most people (or "normans") to Go Mad from the Revelation if they happen to catch a single glimpse of them. And if they aren't treated immediately, they risk staying in madness permanently.
