This book contains with examples

  • Absurdly Powerful Student Council: Mia was the president of student council in the early of the series until she quit due to personal issues. Ariana takes over the role of that matter.
  • Alpha Bitch:
    • Charlotte Finch is the most popular girls in Hamilton's Elite School, she's rich, snobby, cynical, spoiled and self-centered. She has her popular clique, has a on and off again boyfriend who's a jock, she is an only popular student who looks down at all the scholarship students and to the people who are not rich.
    • Mia on the another hand, she definitely this. Although, it's unsure her role is a Beta Bitch, but she still has this trope around and has her boyfriend wrapped around her finger.
  • Big Man on Campus
    • Rodney Ford. One of the most popular guys in school, he's respected by everyone in school, dating the richest and most popular girl in Hamilton, he's a captain of two sports teams, basketball and football. He's pretty much jerky to most students, but he cares for his friends. He's rich, so it wouldn't mind him.
    • Oliver is the nicer example. Oliver Reynolds is the school's top golden boy, he's popular, a son of the father's famous sports team, is very wealthy like his friends, dating one of the richest girls in school, and well respected and beloved by everyone like Rodney.
  • Bitch in Sheep's Clothing:
    • Students may review Rodney as a charming popular and kind student, but in reality, he's just plain nasty and rude.
    • Charlotte, during the first chapter, she keeps up with the nice facade to the scholarship students but she knows she's going to make their lives a living hell afterwards.
  • Break the Haughty: Most of the cast will fell into this, especially when it comes to their depth, when they experience the worst events, hard times and personal issues.
  • Cast Full of Rich People: Many of the students, including the popular clique and their parents are the most richest characters in Hamilton's Private School. Except for Harmony, Wes and Ariana, the scholarship students.
  • Clingy Jealous Girl: Both Charlotte and Mia. They are possessive of their boyfriends, even when they were kids, they pick on other girls just because they talked to their boyfriends, instead of being laid-back, they got jealous easily.
  • Girl Posse: Charlotte has a group of popular girls with Mia, Nancy and Elodie, their popular clique.
  • Interclass Friendship: June is a rich girl befriended Ariana and Harmony coming from the middle-lower class neighborhood.
  • Jerkass: Charlotte, Mia and Rodney are the three most unpleasant, classist, rude, phony and arrogant people alive, but although they do have Hidden Hearts of Gold inside of them but have Pet the Dog moments either.
  • It's All My Fault: Oliver feels guilty about causing a friction between Mia, Rodney and Charlotte.
  • Nice Guy: Austin, Oliver and Wes. They're genuinely the most good-hearted guys in the series, well in any ways.
  • Nice Mean And In Between Both Oliver and Austin are nice and good guys who came from the wealth with a pretty big heart, Rodney is mean, who is a classist jerk who bullies people who are plain, dorky and weaker than him, In-between for Riley is almost a jerk as Rodney, but still caring and supportive.
    • Elodie is nice, she's just a rich Class Princess who mostly kind to other students, Mia and Charlotte are mean, they're both elitist Alpha Bitches students who looks down on students who are poor and has nothing on them, In-Between for Nancy, although she's very snobby and self-centered like her friends, but yet still trust-worthy and more reasonable.
  • Politically Incorrect Villain: Mia, Charlotte and Rodney, all three of them are elitist and classist, minus the racist and homophobic, since they don't have problem with race and the LGBTQ Community.
  • Stepford Smiler: Mia was living her best life as a rich teenager and being totally popular at school, but coming from the fact she has a terrible family life, she has abandonment issues and anxiety. So, she fake smiled her away just so her friends won't think she's weak inside.
    • Oliver may be happy about his life, in the inside, he feels very insecure and scared about his sexuality. He also tries to pretend that everything is okay when he's not.
  • Straight Gay: Wes and later Oliver, both of the masculine characters who are gay.
  • Upper-Class Twit: Most of the wealthy main characters are really not that bright, especially Riley.
  • Uptown Girl: Played with. Wealthy Phoebe Hughes was in the relationship with middle-lower class, Damon.
    • Oliver Reynolds coming from a rich family, and is in love with working-class Wes.
