While most of the girlfriends are solely in love with Rentarou while simply being close friends with each other, there are a few who show an equal amount of love for at least one of the other girlfriends.

Hakari and Karane
- Perhaps not intentional on the artist's part, but in the very first chapter/episode, where Rentarou experiences his first ZING!!, it not only encompasses them, but seems to be happening between them as well.
- In Chapter 2 / Episode 2, they agree to share their Sacred First Kiss with Rentarou together.
- When the two are affected by Kusuri's "Kiss the person you love most potion" in Chapter 12 / Episode 8, Rentarou is able to escape them by getting them to kiss each other instead, which implies they love each other as much as they do Rentarou.
- In the following chapter / At the end of the episode, after the two of them recover, they both bashfully claim not to remember anything from their bender when they remember they were kissing each other.
- They also made out in their sleep together in Chapter 22 / Episode 12, though they both dreamed they were kissing Rentarou.
- There's also a small line in Chapter 28 where Hakari claims that she and Karane agreed to just stay friends when a babified Karane starts sucking on her chest, though that was in reference to a dream she had.
- In Chapter 29, after watching Kusuri in her older form "defeat" Karane by smothering her with her breasts, Hakari takes note of the technique's effectiveness and claims she'll try it herself. When Shizuka asks whether she's talking about trying it on Rentarou or Karane, Hakari answers both.
- In Chapter 30, Hakari forces Karane to kiss Hahari in an attempt to get Mei to open her eyes. Karane is completely against the idea until she notices that Hahari smells exactly like Hakari, after which she decides to go through with it, only for Hakari to jealously stop them from kissing at the last moment. Rentarou then lampshades how obviously jealous Hakari was, much to her embarrassment.
- They kiss again in Chapter 41 while reeling from kissing Rentarou under the effect of the Kiss Enhancing Lip Balm.
- In Chapter 46, they spend so much time arguing over who gets a hiding place that when they hear Rentarou coming, they both hide in the same spot...in a 69 position. The close contact between Hakari's thighs and Karane's cheeks arouses each other so much that they can't take it anymore and decide to reveal themselves.
- They bathe together in Chapter 49, and technically Bonus Chapter 50.5.
- In Chapter 54, the "Kiss the person you love most drug" is taken by both of them again, and the force of them clinging to each other is enough to pin a super-strong Chiyo.
- In Chapter 86, during the group Pocky Game where everyone must keep their eyes closed, Hakari and Karane's candy sticks collide. This leads to the two of them chewing their sticks until their lips connect, though they both assume they're kissing Rentarou. They remain kissing while the others continue the game, never once opening their eyes to see who they're kissing.
- While pseudo-drunk in Chapter 110, Hakari declares she's so sensitive she can tell whether she's kissing her beloved without even looking. First she snogs Hahari (much to the latter's delight), dismissing her with a "Not thish one". Then she kisses Karane, declaring "Yesh. Thish one.", and they stay liplocked even when they've fallen asleep on the floor.
Nano and Shizuka
- It has been shown on several occasions that despite Nano's absolute dedication to being a logical person, when it comes to Shizuka she ends up more often acting completely illogical.
- In Chapter 134, a blushing Nano invites Shizuka to share a bath, visibly taking her aback, but nevertheless she accepts.
Hahari and Mei
- Mei's loyalty to Hahari is to the point where she considers her to be greater than Buddha. Literally.
- When Hahari asks her for a kiss on the lips in Chapter 47, Mei starts vomiting blood at the thought of soiling Hahari's lips.
Nano and Mimimi
- Young Mimimi went gaga over Nano's beauty in a way she hasn't with anyone else, setting out to deepen their relationship and reach greater heights of beauty together (which ended up not working out).
- Mimimi at one point comments "Were [Nano] any more beautiful than this, she would be quite literally blinding, naturally."
- A babyfied Mimimi is enthralled by Nano, abandoning Hahari in favor of Nano.
- When a pseudo-drunk Nano goes around giving the girlfriends headpats in Chapters 109-110, Mimimi's reaction to her headpat is ascending to Heaven accompanied by angels in bliss.
- Mimimi blushes up a storm when Nano holds her hand in Chapter 120.
- The sight of them holding hands on the beauty pageant stage in Chapter 161 gives off a light that causes the audience to react like "countless Colonel Muskas".
Mimimi and Meme
- The two of them have been shown to be envious of one another; Mimimi about Meme's beauty, and Meme about Mimimi's confidence.
- In Chapter 77, Meme's plan to get her and Mimimi out from under the Serious Water Shower is a self-induced Batman Gambit - she gets Mimimi to kiss her on the neck, making her so flustered she reflexively Ninja Logs out of there.
- In Chapter 88, Meme gets very flustered at the thought of an embarrassed Mimimi in her underwear as the latter was taking off a sweater, so much so her Ninja Log ability kicks in.
- Much to Mimimi's confusion, Chapter 106 has Meme blushing and disappearing after she and Mimimi give each other meat that they personally wrapped in Korean lettuce (Meme was thinking of her "beautiful fingers") and eating them.
- Meme is lost in admiration of Mimimi’s zombie makeup in Chapter 116 (although it doesn't get her tagged - Mimimi's paint dodging skills let her get to Meme instead).
- In chapter 157, after observing a more bashful side to Mimimi during an interaction between her and Eira, Meme spends the entire rest of the day in a blushing haze, seemingly unable to stop thinking about it.
Hahari and Kishika
- The two of them have scarily compatible fantasies; Hahari wants to play mommy with youngsters, and Kishika wants to be able to act like an infant. The latter's embarrassment over her secret impulses gives her a Tsundere vibe.
Karane and Ahko
- In Chapter 92, Karane says "C'mon... they went and ruined our good time. Let's get outta here'n have some real fun.". Ahko's reaction is "Wooow, you tryna pick me up or whaaat?".
Mei and Mai
- Mai adores Mei, thinks about her constantly, spaces out around her, snoops on her, wants to monopolize her, and has cast herself as Mei's little sister. She yearns for Mei, and wants to go on dates with her.
- In Chapter 107, Rentarou prompts his First Kiss with Mai by pointing out that he already kissed Mei. Meaning that kissing him would be getting an Indirect Kiss from her. Mai wastes no time at all when told this.
- In Chapter 143, Mai succumbs to "little sister anxiety," and becomes fever-stricken. Mei administers a pocari drink as medicine, but Mai is unable to drink due to her condition. Mei drinks the pocari herself, and makes mouth-to-mouth contact with Mai, so that the latter can drink the medicine.
Kurumi and Momiji
- The two get grouped fairly often as they sit together in the same class.
- Chapter 155 can be described as one big one for them, the two even sharing the gigantic ultimate fluffy daifuku at the end. The narration even jokingly describes them getting a "zing" when they lock eyes at the beginning of the chapter.
Momoha and Mai
- Mai is a capable caretaker for Momoha, often helping Momoha get back to her tent when the latter is too drunk to do so by herself, cleaning Momoha's tent up when it gets too messy, and arriving each morning to check on her.
- Chapter 170 has the two take part in a bunny girl exam Mai accidnelty singed up for, with the chapter ending with a drunk Momoha kissing Mai on the lips.
