    In General
  • Sooner or later, Rentarou addresses the quirks/faults of each of his girlfriends, and every time he tells them how those features are endearing to him. In cases where one of the girls could remove said quirk, Rentarou says he will support them, but not if it's because she hates her original self.

    Volumes 1 - 10

Chapter 1 / Episode 1

Chapter 3 / Episode 3

  • Shizuka confesses her love to Rentarou, fully expecting to be rejected. He reassures her that he loves her too, causing her to see him as the hero of the romance novel she's reading.

Chapter 5 / Episode 4

  • Karane tells Shizuka that she doesn't need to hold back for her or Hakari's sake, because she's Rentarou's girlfriend as much as them both.
    • Then Shizuka reveals she fears she's not as attractive as them. Karane tells her that she's just as pretty as the others.

Chapter 7 / Episode 5

  • Rentarou managing to convince Nano that while things like love, friendship, and fun don't have any measurable value, they are still very important and valuable to a person. Also a literal Tear Jerker and a Not So Stoic moment for Nano, as she openly weeps for possibly the first time in her life.
    • She's also the first to initiate her First Kiss with Rentarou.

Chapter 9 / Episode 6

  • When Rentarou realizes Karane has Appearance Angst, he tells her that, yes, Hakari and Nano are beautiful, Shizuka is cute - and Karane is just as beautiful as the others. Karane is so deeply hit by this that she kisses Rentarou while repeatedly thinking how much she loves him.

Chapter 12 / Episode 8, Part 1

  • Despite being Kiss Zombies, Hakari and Nano both still show concern for Shizuka as they're all chasing Rentaro, the former helping her up after she tripped, and the latter pulling her along rather than leave her behind when she is having trouble keeping up. Even though "kissing" should be all they care about, the care the girls have for one another proves to be just as strong as their love for Rentaro, to the point not even Kusuri's drug can erase it.
  • Even though he knows he should be running for his life, Rentaro immediately runs to Shizuka's aid when she face plants while chasing him, rushing her to the infirmary and tending to her bruised forehead himself. While he thinks he screwed up afterwards since she's still a Kiss Zombie, just the thought of Shizuka being hurt was enough for him to put everything else on hold if it meant helping her. Even as she has him pinned and it's hard for him to think as she kisses him, the thought of getting her back to normal is all he needs to resist and break free, putting her on a coat hanger to keep her restrained rather than risk hurting her as he promises he'll help her.
  • Even as Kiss Zombies, Hakari and Karane initially start fighting over Rentaro, until Rentaro decides to push them together. As Rentaro himself realizes, their fighting was really Belligerent Sexual Tension, and the two love each other just as much as they love Rentaro, so the drug gives them the desire to kiss each other too. While the narration claims Rentaro is jumping to conclusions, it's pretty evident that Hakari and Karane truly love each other, and not even being turned into Kiss Zombies will erase that love.

Chapter 13 / Episode 8, Part 2

  • While Kusuri is blaming herself for the Kiss Zombie incident and planning on giving up making drugs, Rentaro reassures her that even if she screws up, he'll be there to help her fix things, not wanting her to give up on what she's passionate about since that's what he loves about her. Kusuri is so overcome with emotion that she leaps into his arms reaffirming her love for him.

Chapter 14 / Episode 9, Part 1

  • After Hakari wins the raffle over who gets to wear a special dress and take a commemorative photo with Rentarou, Kusuri starts to cry about it. Even though Hakari really wanted to win, she believes that Kusuri wanted it more than her and offers to let Kusuri take her place. This really shows how much Hakari cares for the other girls, especially with the later reveal that Hakari's mother was forcing her to break up with Rentarou, meaning this was her last chance to share a moment with him.
  • Kusuri initially accepts Hakari's offer, but the former quickly changes her mind because she realizes she would actually be happier to see the people she loves take that photo together. She even apologizes for her outburst earlier.
  • When it's time for the photo to be taken, Hakari insists that everyone take it together with her and Rentarou.

Chapter 15 / Episode 9, Part 2

  • Upon learning that Hakari is moving away in the morning, Rentarou plans to break into her house and rescue her. Knowing that doing so will force them to go on the run for potentially years, he asks the other girls to wait for him. They refuse... because they're going to help him rescue Hakari, regardless of the consequences.

Chapter 16 / Episode 10

  • Kusuri immediately giving up her drug that allows people to see infrared in order to rescue Hakari, even though she had planned to mail it in to the company she wants to work for, because of how much she values Hakari's friendship.

Chapter 19 / Episode 11

  • Hahari asks Rentarou to take care of Hakari. He promises that he will... and that he will take care of Hahari, as well.

Chapter 22 / Episode 12

  • Rentarou reassuring Hahari that she can love him and still remember her First Love.
  • Rentarou has a talk with Hakari's father's ghost, thanking him for helping bring Hakari to the world and being Hahari's First Love, and Hakari's father asks him in return to take care of both of them for the rest of his life.

Chapter 25

  • Nano believes that fellow haremettes getting involved with one another without good reason is inefficient, but quickly explains that she does like all the other girls who love Rentarou.
    • If you follow her line of logic, it becomes even sweeter: She says that it's inefficient to get involved without good reason. In her case, her reason for spending time with the others is because she likes them.

Chapter 27

  • Kurumi gets full after 22 bowls, leading her to realize that Rentarou and the others were eating to win, while Kurumi was only eating for the sake of eating. Fortunately, the rest of the harem has recovered and step in to participate, giving Kurumi the drive to keep going.

Chapter 28

  • Hakari gets overwhelmed with Baby Kurumi and Baby Karane, and at first it seems like Baby Hahari is adding pressure as well when she climbs up Hakari's back, but then Hahari starts petting Hakari's head and tells her, "dere dere". It seems like even as a baby, Hahari still has her maternal side.
  • Later on, after the babies fall asleep, this exchange occurs while Hakari is holding Hahari:
Rentarou: I wonder... if Hahari-san felt this way, too.
Hakari: Huh? For her to raise me at such a young age... she had to go through hardships similar to this... is that what you mean?
Rentarou: Actually, she said you were the reason... she was saved. So I have no doubt that you were an angel when you were a baby, too.
Hakari: Mother... said that... [she looks down at Baby Hahari sleeping in her arms] Raising a baby while still being a middle school student had to be difficult... it goes without saying. And yet, she still did it... to raise me...

Chapter 32.5

  • Hahari's first meeting with Mei. Hahari sees this bedraggled, half-frozen girl in the snow, and her first thought is to run outside and try to help. Even if it was also because she thought she was cute, Hahari still had the sense to call for an ambulance. No wonder Mei is so loyal to her.
    • Mei's response to Hahari's assistance, even in the middle of the snow, is to ask why she would help her, believing that her life isn't worth it.
Hahari: What if, hypothetically... you had more money than you could ever spend? Once you've bought every last thing you wished for, would you simply throw the rest of your money in the trash?
      Mei: I would... never...
Hahari: But what if you already had everything you ever wanted?
Mei: ...It would surely... be necessary, someday...
Hahari: This is the exact same thing. Surely, one day, your life will become necessary. ...Even if you don't know when that is, or what it would be for. To so freely throw away a life and still hold tightly to money is simply irrational. A life can be used to gather money, but no amount of money can buy a life. Do you see which has more value now? No matter how desperate or hopeless a form life may take... [an image of her First Love, Hakari's father, flashes up] that a life has no value, or no meaning, is nonsense that I will never accept.
  • Returning to the present, Hakari is seen smiling in the background. Basically one of the few times she's openly proud of her mother.

Chapter 37

  • While best known for ending on the massive wall-of-text two page spread in which Rentarou declares his love for each and every girlfriend in minute detail, everything before that is dedicated to the girlfriends taking turns telling Rentarou how much they love him after it occurs to them they haven't explicitly communicated it in a while, despite how often they think it.

Chapter 40

  • Nano apologizing to Mimimi for hurting her feelings in the past, and offering to be friends with her.

Chapter 52

  • Everyone immediately expressing concern for Chiyo when she starts crying despite the state of chaos they are currently in.

Chapter 55

Chapter 58

  • Meme returns Mimimi's favor from Chapter 55, dressing in Mimimi's Non-Uniform Uniform for her "freedom" outfit and hoping that she could become as confident as her upperclassman.

Chapter 65

Chapter 71

  • Naddy and Chiyo's conversation after getting Chiyo's classmates to stop smoking, where Naddy tells Chiyo that it's perfectly OK for her to take care of her own feelings instead of forcing herself to shoulder a burden that she can't handle.

Chapter 72

  • Everyone handles Nano's shrinking in a way that they want to make sure she's safe.
    • When Nano attempts to finish her sandwich, pointing out that it would upset Chiyo if she didn't, Chiyo is mildly offended that Nano thinks she wouldn't take her size into account. When Nano attempts to take her vitamin supplement, Chiyo becomes worried about her overdosing.
    • After Nano ends up in Hahari's cleavage, Mei gently holds her hand out so that Nano can free herself, then gently places her on the ground.
    • Momiji successfully fights off the urge to grope her.

Chapter 74

  • Rentarou and Kusuri taking turns as Human Shields when an operative comes to kidnap Kusuri for her expertise in drugs. Rentarou especially, since he knows that the operative is willing to kill him.
    • Even when Kusuri is willing to accept being kidnapped because she won't be harmed, Rentarou still persists because he refuses to allow her drugs to be used for evil.

Chapter 75

  • The reason Kusuri tried to invent an immortality drug in the first place? She wanted her grandmother to live forever.

Chapter 76

  • Shizuka giving Kurumi a cookie. In exchange, Kurumi grants Shizuka a hug and calls her an angel.

Chapter 77

  • When Hahari finds that Mei is stuck in the Serious Cold Bath, she enters the bath herself and pulls her into an embrace to warm her up, making that the second time she saves Mei from freezing to death.

Chapter 78

  • The plot of the chapter is Hakari attempting to teach Yamame how to leverage her sex appeal, prompted by noticing how little confidence Yamame has in her own sexiness.
  • When Yamame is hesitant at the idea of being sexy towards Rentarou face-to-face, Hakari assures Yamame that she'll be with her every step of the way, even if things go badly and Yamame ends up embarrassing herself.
  • Towards the end, Yamame lifts her skirt and flashes Rentarou to keep him from seeing Hakari after her bra snaps. She's mortified with herself after, but Hakari is grateful and makes sure Yamame knows she succeeded in getting Rentarou's heart pumping (so hard it reverberates throughout the entire building).

Chapter 80

  • Momji giving Kurumi the steamed bun she was groping, and Kurumi offering to let Momiji grope her stomach in gratitude.
  • Naddy speaks normally during the chapter because she's alone with Yaku, who simply can not parse anything she says. Yaku notices and assures Naddy it's fine to Be Yourself, even if she can't easily understand.

Chapter 84

  • Once again we have a baby chapter, this time with all of the girls since Kurumi but swapping Hahari and Hakari. Once again the babies are adorable despite the quirks from their older forms manifesting.
  • When Hahari sees Hakari babified, she remembers the angel that saved her and she hugs Hakari tightly.
Hahari: Thank you for being born!
  • Karane openly gushing over Momiji playing masseuse on Yaku. Granted it's immediately ruined when Momiji just starts groping Yaku's butt, but it's nice to see her Tsundere-ness not getting in the way of her showing affection.
    • Karane internally gushing over baby!Hakari. Right before Hakari ruins it by kissing Karane on the lips.
  • Nano being overcome by Mimimi's cuteness when the latter starts staring close into her eyes.
  • Kishika finally gets an appropriate time to be pampered.
  • Rentarou notices baby!Naddy sitting alone by herself, taking after her original Nadeshiko persona and therefore her unhappiness. He offers her a piggy back ride and she's back to her cheerful self, even when knocked to the ground.
Rentarou: You're free to play just like the other kids! Here, let’s play horsey!

Chapter 85

  • The whole chapter is about Rentarou helping out and spending time with each of his girlfriends.
  • Rentarou thanks the God of Love for making a mistake with his soulmate count and granting him 100 girlfriends after a lifetime of rejection. As he does so, he flashes back to his rejections, remembering how they left him in darkness until the girlfriends pulled him into the light. As much as Rentarou has been a positive influence for the girls, they've been a positive influence for him.
    • His integrity gets another chance to shine through from the fact that he refuses to tell any of his girlfriends that they'd die if they couldn't be together; he doesn't want anyone to date him out of an obligation to avoid an untimely death, and he doesn't believe their love would be 100% genuine if they knew.

    Volumes 11 -

Chapter 92

  • After seeing how much Ahko has been forcing herself to have fun with her old friend group, Karane asks her what's wrong. Ahko admits she blames herself for them abandoning her, how they said it was all her fault for not being able to properly express her emotions. Karane, seeing the pain in her eyes, immediately calls the group out on their shitty treatment of her and demands they apologize. When they refuse, Karane grabs her hand and declares that she's Ahko's BFF and the rest of them can get lost. Even if it ends things with them permanently, Ahko doesn't care; she's happy with Karane and the rest of the family now.

Chapter 95

  • When Kurumi gets hungry after hearing potato salad, Mei and Yamame go to the latter's garden to grab potatoes. When they come back with a bowl of potato salad for Kurumi, she hugs both of them as thanks.

Chapter 99

  • Uto's thoughts as she begins the relay race.
As a Wandering Minstrel, time alone and on the road will always have a place in my heart. However, coming to know Rentarou's Family has taught me, for the first time, the comfort in having a place to belong.
  • As she runs her segment of the relay race, Meme's bra starts to come loose. But she thinks about how hard Ahko worked to get the baton to her, even though she has low blood pressure and struggles with physical activity to the point of collapse. She pushes through her embarrassment and manages to get the baton to Shizuka.

Chapter 100

  • The title of the chapter: Working on This Series Has Made Me Happier Than I Can Say. Seriously, Thank You All So Much. We're In This for the Long Haul!
  • The title page image (currently on the Characters page) showing Rentarou and all his girlfriends sitting around happily having tea and cookies. Take a close look and you can see the cookies are shaped to represent the girls, such as baseballs for Iku and ocarinas for Uto.
  • As Mei reads off the reader comments for each girl (all of whom end up tying for 1st place), it becomes very clear that each one is from Rentarou.
    • The final first place tie is Rentarou himself, with Mei reading off the reader comments that clearly came from each of his girlfriends.

Chapter 102

  • Kurumi and Chiyo follow Mai out to the street to cheer her up after she gave up on trying to train the girls as maids.

Chapter 114

Chapter 116

  • Rin Baio ends up revealing her violence fetish while being introduced to the rest of the girlfriends. She starts to feel mortified, afraid of how they'll react to her perversion, but the girls all accept her without a moment's hesitation. On top of that, Karane (one of the girls who can be the harshest toward the others about their quirks) is the first one to speak up in assuring her that the group won't shun her, and that a number of them have their own unusual paraphilias.

Chapter 118

  • A senior Japanese teacher threatens Naddy's job due to the Engrish she spouts, and the entire harem comes rushing in to ask for leniency. Ms. Utsushiro, the teacher, tasks them with proving it by having Naddy give an atrociously-incomprehensible quote and asking them to decipher it. Despite an understandable rough start, they succeed by remembering all the time Naddy spent with them, leaving Utsushiro with no choice but to rescind the warning.
    • Hahari silently considers using her chairwoman privileges to twist Utsushiro's arm, but relents because Naddy would be upset if she did.
    • The only one who can't figure out Naddy's speech is Yaku, and not for lack of trying. Instead, Yaku writes a letter to Utsushiro talking about how she and Naddy are good friends, and asking for Utsushiro's forgiveness. Naddy is brought to tears by the act.
Naddy: Thank you... so much, Yaku-san...!
Yaku: (coyly) My, whatever could you be thanking me for, Nadeh dear?
  • Utsushiro gives a final warning that she'll be back if she gets a complaint about Naddy's speech patterns. To which the editor's note remarks that nobody's lodged one against Naddy because everybody likes her so much.

Chapter 120

  • Shizuka happily being a "professional hiding place" for Meme. At one point, Shizuka raises her arms when she thinks Meme is going to disappear after getting a "thank you" from Rin. She's deeply embarrassed when Meme doesn't do that, but Meme runs behind her and hides under her hair anyway.
  • Rin complimenting Uto's music (Even if it's really because the tune is so beyond repair that it counts as violence to her, but in that regard it's... still technically genuine appreciation at least.) Uto, in turn, is overjoyed and offers her more ballads.
  • Seeing Rin paddle Iku's butt, Mei, who's usually responsible for doing that, is implied to feel left out but resigned if it means Iku is happy. Iku however lets Mei be the one to do a "grand finale" swing, admitting her swings are unmatched, while Rin wishes to see her form.
  • Kusuri acting the exact same way around Yaku in her true form.
  • Kurumi admitting that she looks up to Karane in the same way Mai does to Mei.
    • As Kurumi internally wishes for herself to be more like Mei or Karane as senpai, Chiyo professes that she sees Kurumi as a senpai as well. Kurumi tries to hide it, but she's grinning to herself.

Chapter 121

  • While Mimimi, Hakari, and Rin are battling against a woman with their Nirvana Families toys, the woman tries to throw them off by targeting their insecurities. Each time the woman's trash talk gets to them, the other girls immediately come to the other's defense.
    • The woman accuses Mimimi of being a Fake Aristocrat who will never be high class. Hakari and Rin proclaim that Mimimi's hard work and dedication have made her even more high class than they are.
    • Next, the woman calls Hakari a Spoiled Brat who doesn't have any talents or accomplishments to call her own. Rin and Mimimi point out that Hakari's love and devotion to her lover is unmatched.
    • After Rin tears the woman's toy apart, the latter calls her a freak. Hakari and Mimimi shoot her insult down as they hug and pat Rin. Hakari calls Rin a cutie and throws the woman's earlier claim that Might Makes Right against her. Mimimi calls Rin charming and accuses the woman of having dreadful taste. Rin goes from being worried to giggling in happiness.

Chapter 124

  • On Ahko's advice, Suu associates each of the girls with different numbers in order to be able to befriend them, but she's still able to befriend Ahko without pairing her with a number. Ahko actually laughs in joy after hearing this, which is very notable since even a laughing drug couldn't make her laugh before.
    • The bonus page shows them happily bonding over numbers in class together.

Chapter 128

  • Shizuka realizes that if Suu keeps holding onto her, they're both going to fall:
Shizuka: (in her natural voice) L-let... Let go-
Suu: It's supposed to be more fun if we win together, right?! Not that I'd know anything about that!
    • Suu's grip slips, but the two of them are saved by Kusuri, who in turn is being supported by Yaku, Chiyo, and Momiji.
  • This draws on Suu's earlier conversation with Momiji, as she asks why they're helping each other when this isn't a team sport, and Momiji replies that they'll all be a lot happier if they can all win it together, showing that Suu may not have completely understood what Momiji meant, but she does get its importance. It also shows Suu's Character Development since her introduction, as she comes to value people beyond their connection to numbers.

Chapter 129

  • The chapter opens with Rentarou, Hahari, Iku, and Momoha having a picnic together. Rentarou suggests taking a walk after they finish eating, but they end up spending the rest of the day at the blanket with Hahari spanking Iku while a drunk Momoha laughs. Mortified, the three ask him for a do-over date, determined to get a full 100 points. After dodging several attractions that are conveniently tailored to each of them, the four of them come across a beautiful fountain before taking part in an attraction that combines all three of the interests in one. The kicker is that the chapter ends with the narration saying that two perfect dates makes 200 points - indicating that Rentarou also enjoyed the "failed" date from earlier.
Rentarou: Seeing them happy makes me happier than anything!

Chapter 130

  • Nano patting Shizuka on the head. Noticing Kurumi staring at her (Kurumi wanted to pat her too, but Shizuka being her Senpai made her reluctant.), Shizuka starts patting her. Despite not being what she wanted, Kurumi doesn't find it so bad.
  • Despite his distaste for being Dragged into Drag, Rentarou is shown to go on dates with Ahko guised as a gal at GalGal Crepe.
  • Karane and Mai cuddling up to Mei when she decides she prefers smaller breasts (albeit unbeknownst to them, because she decided big breasts are impractical.)
  • Nano taking up knitting, sharing a factory-grade stuffed toy with Meme. However, Nano feels a lack of sincerity and warmth in her work, which prompts Meme to advise her to hold it all day so that she does feel something. A few days later, it works.
    • Meme thought Nano's toy would make a cute gift for Rentarou, but Nano gives it to her instead as a thank you for knitting her clothes when Nano shrank.

Chapter 134

  • Nano having mementos of past events with Rentarou's Family on her bookshelf. For Nano in particular, it shows how much she values them.
  • Nano intuiting that something's up with Shizuka (especially when she'd managed to hide it from most everyone aside from Rentarou), offering her help with it, and giving Shizuka her support.

Chapter 135

  • Shizuka's mother finally coming around to accept her daughter for who she is rather than making her into who she wants her to be. The bonus page shows them bonding as her mother teaches Shizuka how to cook.

Chapter 138

  • Eira is embarrassed about a college student having to be bailed out of her episodes by middle schoolers, but the other girls assure her that they still like her in spite of her cowardice.

Chapter 140

  • When Yaku's vase is determined by an appraiser to be a forgery, Rentarou manages to revive her spirits when he notices a message written in English on the underside of the base, realizing that her husband had gifted Yaku with a message he never got to say to her face. Yaku, in turn, admits that Rentarou is better than her dead husband in regard to sharing his feelings to her face.

Chapter 143

  • When Hakari and Mei first met, Mei didn't even know what "playing" was. Hakari proceeded to teach Mei how to play with dolls while Hahari watched them with a genuinely wholesome smile.
  • In the past, Mei seemed to regard Mai as just a coworker who screws up a lot, but when Mai comes down with a fever, Mei reveals just how much she cares about her. Mei thinks about all the times Mai called her sister and spends all day and night caring for her, to the point where she's on the verge of collapsing. When Mai is unable to drink Pocari, Mei drinks it herself before giving it to Mai with a kiss. After Mai wakes up, Mei says her name in relief and hugs her.
  • Mai shows that she truly cares about Mei's happiness, as she's willing to forfeit her spot as Mei's "little sister" to Hakari because she believes the latter fulfills the role better than her. Mei in turn reveals that she actually views Hakari as her older sister because of how much Hakari taught her. Mai is overjoyed that she's still Mei's "little sister" and envelops both of them in a hug as she tells them their relationship has her full support.

Chapter 144

  • Rentarou gets to meet Karane's family, and even though every single one of them is a massive tsundere, they're all very loving and welcoming to Rentarou in their Karane-like way.
  • When Rentarou finds out the reason why Karane didn't want him to meet her family, he's nothing but supportive. As much as she loves them, she was afraid that when he saw how strongly the tsundere traits ran in her bloodline, it would scare him away from wanting to start a family with her. He assures her that he would love to raise a child with her, and would find it cute if that child inherited her tsundere traits.
    • And then when she realizes that this sounds like a serious proposal to get married in the future and spend the rest of their lives together, he cheerfully admits that that's exactly what it was.

Chapter 145

  • The girls imagine married life with Rentarou, each of them incorporating the others into their fantasies, because having the others involved makes them really happy.
  • Yamame, Meme, and Ahko imagine themselves as mothers caring for their respective infant daughters.
  • When Kurumi points out everyone's assuming they'd all live together, their collective reaction is they'd like it if they could do that. When Suu points out Rentarou can only marry one of them, their collective reaction is depression, because that's not what they want.

Chapter 146

  • Pretty much the whole first half of the chapter:
    • Rentarou affirms his desire to marry all the girls and spend the rest of their lives together, no matter what it takes to make it happen - but there's one thing that overrides whatever he might say, and that's what the girls want. If any of them don't prefer a collective marriage, if they'd prefer a two-person marriage instead, then he'd have no right to ask, so he wants to make sure that Marry Them All is the future they all want, the future that would make them happiest.
    • Karane explains that she's spent enough time with the other girls to know they all want to share their futures together, with Hakari - the one who's been there together with her from the start, who began this polycule with her - getting particular focus as she talks.
    • Rentarou proposes with a bouquet of 100 pink clovers.
      • Hahari and Naddy both have their hands over their mouths at the proposal, implying they're even more shocked than the others - Hahari likely because she'd resigned herself to never marrying after the death of her First Love, and Naddy because of her Chronic Self-Deprecation over her Heritage Disconnect.
      • Kusuri and Suu, meanwhile, both have big, excited smiles (Ahko too, maybe, but her Frozen Face makes it hard to tell).
    • The girls' collective answer to the proposal is "Yes...!", upon which Rentarou starts tearing up.

Chapter 147

  • When Tama breaks down crying over how useless she feels, Hahari's pets comfort her even though they were weirded out by her earlier.
  • Hahari realizes that her attempt to help Tama has only made the latter miserable, so she resolves to help Tama get back on her feet. Even though Hahari is heartbroken over having to give up someone she can dote on, she still places Tama's happiness over her own. This shows that despite Hahari's often questionable morals, she truly does care about her friend's wellbeing, demonstrating the best qualities in a parent.

Chapter 152

  • When Quali Tina returns to train Rentarou's newer girlfriends to be idols, it's apparent that the older girlfriends' performance had a huge impact on her, as she's much more patient while training the newer girls and is actively trying to avoid tearing them apart.
  • Unlike before where Tina tried to have the lesser quality girls drop out, this time it's the girls struggling to keep up who are considering leaving of their own accord. Before they can go through with it, Himeka arrives to help out.
    • After Himeka's rough start with everyone in the previous chapter, she uses her desire for abnormality to help the girls realize that instead of trying to match their predecessors, they should focus on their strengths so they can shine in their own way.
    • Then the rest of the girls show up to cheer them up, with Mai in particular even citing her own clumsiness as a way to assure them that they can still improve.
  • Tina overheard the girls' pep talk with each other and tells Rentarou he's not allowed to watch their lessons anymore because she knows the girls want to surprise him with their performance.
  • After Tina reads the girls' plan for their performance, she smiles and gives them her full support.

Chapter 157

  • Naddy and Kusuri spot Chiyo looking seriously at a poster about Mother's Day. They step away long enough for Kusuri to go into her 18 year-old form and both to don a pair of glasses. At which point they each take one of Chiyo's hands and resume their walk. Unknown to either of them, the reason Chiyo was staring at the poster was because it was making her question the manga's timeline, but it's the thought that counts.

Chapter 158

  • Himeka begins going to Uto for advice on music, thinking her the perfect teacher in being "abnormal". Uto begins feeling self-conscious though after hearing consistent praise for "Kiki-san", and tries to subtly end the lessons so a poser like her doesn't drag Himeka down. When Himeka confronts her and learns about her reasons, she states that even if people call her amazing, the fact Himeka thinks Uto is amazing makes Uto even more amazing than Himeka, something Himeka reiterates when Uto tricks a peeper into deleting a picture he took of them with her usual sophistry.
Himeka: See? I told you you're amazing. You just helped me out big time. Whatever you say, however you feel, I know it for a fact. You're amazing.
Uto: My, my... such a stubborn songstress you are.

Chapter 161

  • The real reason Mimimi "ended" her friendship with Nano and challenged her to a beauty contest rematch? Mimimi noticed that Nano looked guilty while viewing a photo of her rejecting Mimimi's offer of friendship back in junior high, so Mimimi used the rematch to reassure Nano that she used the latter's rejection to grow as a person and that there's no need to feel guilty about it anymore. Mimimi reaffirms her desire to be friends with Nano and holds out her hand, which Nano accepts without hesitation. As the two of them shake hands, Nano thanks her while making a small but unmistakable smile.

Chapter 165

  • Normally it's only Hahari and Rentarou who indulge Kishika's desire to be pampered. When Meme notices Kishika unsuccessfully try to get Ahko to sing her the "Pain, Pain, Go Away" song, she does it for Kishika instead, much to Kishika's joy.
  • Mei, Naddy, Momiji, and Rin are eating sushi together and discussing their personal favorites. When they notice Mei has only eaten the relatively plain cucumber rolls. When asked why, Mei says they aren't her favorite, it's just everything else is clearly too luxurious for the likes of her, prompting the other three to immediately offer Mei bites of their own food.
  • Himeka's content to let an online hater post go, but Matsuri isn't. She grabs Himeka's phone and posts back, repeatedly calling the poster a daft sod.
