  • In season 3, Bloom's basic fairy form is as powerful as an Enchantix... But the power part was already there: From the start, her having the power of the Dragon's Flame meant she was already that powerful but, having no prior instruction, didn't know how to use it, and one of the plot points of season 2 was Griselda giving everyone training in better using their powers. Meaning that in season 3 she simply knew how to make good use of her powers, and her spells comes out that much more powerful as a result.
  • Musa is the Fairy of Music, and Aisha loves dancing. In Real Life primitive cultures, magic is often done by dancing and singing (for example, the rain dance). Possibly unintentional... Except that not only this link is still present in Italian folklore (to the point that the Italian verb cantare means both "to sing" and "to cast a spell"), but it's even acknowledged in-universe in season 2, with Musa being pretty good at it.
  • The way Musa earns her Enchantix. Musa lost her mother as a child due to illness and lack of money to pay for medicine. Not something she or her father could do anything about. Galatea was trapped in a fire and would've died. However, unlike her mother's death, this was preventable and she was able to stop it. Musa decided that she already lost one person and she was not going to lose another, even if it meant the loss of her own life.
  • Diaspro has proven to be a powerful and skilled fairy, and most likely is around the Winx's age, yet she has no Enchantix. Strange? No, simply it's next to impossible for her to earn it: as royalty, she considers her duty to live to rule her subjects, thus it's extremely unlikely she'll find herself in a situation where she'll be willing to sacrifice herself enough to earn it.
    • This also explains why we don't see her use any magic in season 8 while on a mission with Sky: the place where they're in weakens magic due to the altitude, but Bloom & co. manage to use a few spells while riding the unicorns. Bloom and her friends had 8 seasons worth of transformations, while Diaspro has most likely never even gotten a Charmix. If Bloom and her friends have little magic despite all the adventures that powered them up, Diaspro won't be capable of conjuring even the smallest spells.
  • Many of Darcy's outfits include one or two gloves, and her 'civilian' outfit has orange glasses she doesn't seem to actually need. Both glasses and gloves are often used as visual hints that the character is hiding something, and what are the two things Darcy does best?
  • Unlike Earth, the Magical Dimension doesn't have countries; all the monarchs rule whole planets with a single culture. But that actually makes sense—they're so advanced in terms of technology, as well as Magic, that it would be very easy for one government to rule a planet, and the people would be so connected that a single culture would form.
  • An Enchantix is obtained by sacrificing yourself for someone else from your home planet, and in Winx Club there's a lot of emphasis on emotions and unlocking the magic that you already have but cannot yet use. But Bloom gets a partial Enchantix from studying, showing it's not the sacrifice that triggers the Enchantix—it's that, because the fairy is in a life-threatening or emotionally-heavy situation, she's forced to unlock the powers that she already has to save her life/as an emotional reaction to her situation.
  • The thought behind Layla's Enchantix sacrifice. A lot of people will critique that, unlike the others, she was not in a life-threatning situation. However, if you recall her character arc in season 2, Layla had 2 major things to overcome: Her fear of the dark and distrust in others. Being blind means she's quite literally surrounded by darkness all the time AND she has to rely on the other girls to guide her and be her eyes. Cursing her to lose her eyesight is probably one of the worst things someone could do to her.
  • Past the Crystal Labyrinth's trial in Season 3, after which Tecna and Stella regain emotions and beauty which they had discarded respectively in order to earn the water stars, Musa expectantly waits for her mother to come back to her after discarding the idea of being back with her again, only for the nymph Arcadia to state that she does not have the power to do so. While it feels heartrending for her at first, it later makes sense; Arcadia did not take away anything from Musa to begin with as her mother was already gone prior to the Crystal Labyrinth's trial; thus she had nothing to return to her.
  • Stormy being a dark dance champion as of season 8 sheds another light on her targeting Musa in season 2. She wasn't just being petty over Musa defeating her alone, she was pissed Musa defeated her through the power of dancing specifically. There's nothing more humiliating than being defeated with the very thing you love doing.
    • Her defeating Aisha in a dance competition may even be indirect revenge, even if she doesn't know it. Aisha is the one who taught Musa how to dance to make it rain, so Stormy pretty much defeated Musa's entire inspiration for how she defeated her alone.
  • Darcy is shown to have healing hands in Season 1, which might seem a strange power for a witch to have. However Darcy's powers are Darkness based and things like a good night's rest in a dark room or lying down in the shade on a hot day have regenerative effects on the human body. So healing powers make perfect sense for someone with darkness powers and it's likely darkness/night themed fairies specialize in healing and regeneration spells.
  • In season 6, after the Winx attack the Legendarium, only Bloom gets out with her powers intact (and yet she also feels exhausted). The Winx then discover they all, sans Bloom, have lost their magic. Faragonda tells Bloom that her Dragon Flame is inextingishable as the reason why she was spared. This explains why she was able to retrieve her magic back into season 1 at the end despite having it taken from her, as it wasn't just a part of her that couldn't leave, but just magic that couldn't be put out in general.
    • Why does Bloom feel weak after splitting her flame into six when she was fine after the Trix stole it from her in season 1? They only stole her powers back when she was a base Winx fairy, and the reason she couldn't get her powers back at the time was mostly due to losing faith in herself. She likely didn't feel the same pain of a depower back then because she was only scratching the surface of her power and thus didn't actually lose all of it as she had been led to believe. Five seasons later however, she has a much better grasp of her powers since she's able to split her flame into equal pieces, and thus ends up more drained since she can access that much power at her core.
    • It also helps while the Trix forced the Dragon Flame out of Bloom, she split her flame of her own volition for her friends and thus has better control over how much magic she could give and what shape she gives it.
    • This also explains why Valtor returns in season 8. Bloom thought she had extinguished his flame with her fairy dust, but as we find out, that fire, his life force, can't be put out. All it did was destroy his form until he found a way to recover (which he did once he's allied himself with Obscurum), but just like her magic, it can never be fully taken out.
  • One might wonder why in the flashback for season 8, Icy would decide to become a witch and dabble in dark magic rather than becoming a fairy or asking for help for her realm. Should we assume her being the descendant of an Ancestral Witch remains unaffected by the retcon, and as one of her bios states her powers come from dead planets, odds are that she didn't have much of a choice in the matter. Additionally, fairy magic requires positive emotions, which she would be cruelly lacking of after what happened to Sapphire.
    • One of the dubs for the first season suggests that the descendants of the Ancestral Witches aren't allowed to be taught into any of the magic schools, requiring the Trix to make up a lot of false papers and documents to enroll. This would explain why Icy wasn't brave enough to fight back against the Shaman Witch aside from cowardice, she likely didn't even know any offensive spell as she wouldn't be allowed to learn anything that'd make her a threat to anybody.
    • With all of that in mind, she'd be inclined to believe no one would help her despite being a princess. Claiming her realm was frozen to death by an evil witch when her own ancestor had ice powers and done the same to Domino, it wouldn't be hard to accuse her of being the culprit. And if she had already been refused magic lessons before forming the Trix, her forgoing her past and becoming the witch that we got to know would be the only outcome she could find.
  • Icy seems aware of the legend of the Snow Queen before Selina even brings it up. While it's easy to see why an ice witch would be interested in a story about a cold-hearted queen with ice powers, when you compare the Snow Queen's Domain to the frozen remains of Dyamond, a lot of visual resemblances can be noted. Odds are Icy had time to do her own research looking for a way to beat the Shaman Witch and stumbled upon the story of the Snow Queen.

  • A couple. For starters, Aisha's sacrifice for her Enchantix. There's only enough sunlight left to heal her or the queen, and she chose the queen. The problem? It's played as if Aisha would be blind for the rest of her life when there's nothing stopping her from waiting until the next sunset. Had she not earned her Enchantix, she would've only had to wait about 24 more hours.
    • I may remember wrong, or it may be because I've seen the original Italian dub, but I got the impression there was a time limit on that, and if they waited 24 more hours Ligea's scepter would have been unable to cure her.
  • Miele's age. She's half Flora's height when she's first seen in season three, making her appear no older than a child in the early grades of elementary school. Three seasons later, her age has been bumped up to 16. An unofficial source stated her age in season three as 10, but even if this was her age at the time, it still wouldn't add up.
    • Magic, or a miraculous growth spurt. Or both. Doesn't help that she's shorter than her sister by far again in season 8, implying she either shrunk back, or the Winx ALSO grew in the time skip between season 7 and season 8.
  • This will probably run into YMMV territory but; how the girls get their Enchantix, if you really think about it. In order to get your Enchantix, you have to save someone from your home planet normally in the form of a sacrifice right? You better be damn sure your sacrifice is well worth it in order to make sure that is how you get it. Musa would have been burnt alive in a fire with her planet's princess, Aisha would have potentially been blinded for the rest of her life, Bloom killed by the Trix, Flora drowning in that river, Techna may have not survived or gotten out of the Omega dimension, and Stella staying dead from that dragon attack.
    • Really, the way Enchantix is earned is potentially nightmare fuel. At least two people have to be on the brink of death. Adding more to the fridge horror, what if your sacrifice is enough for your Enchantix, but not to save the other person? Galatea, for example, could've still died from smoke inhalation and would've needed medical attention to prevent doing so.
  • Bloom when you consider season four. Had she not met Stella that fateful day, Bloom would've learned about her powers from four evil wizards' attempt to capture her. And she would've had no one to help her, meaning she likely would've been living in fear for a long time. It's a very good thing Bloom decided to go to the park that day...
    • It could have been even worse: she could have learned it from three witches barging in her home after tracking her down across worlds (they actually did it once) to steal it... Or could have not learned of it at all, if they decided to just sneak in to not cause unnecessary ruckus. Whatever happens, we'd have the Dragon Flame's empowered Trix run amok around the Magical Dimension, that would be further devastated in the crossfire between them and Darkar (because, why should they work for him when they have that much power?) until they take him out with the sheer numbers of the Army of Darkness. And then Mandragora would attack them for the Dragon's Flame, thus getting them to Obsidian... At which point we would either have the Trix with the powers of the Dragon's Flame and those of the Three Ancestral Witches or the Three Ancestral Witches in the bodies of the Trix backed by the power of the Dragon's Flame. In the meantime, depending on how the Trix acted, Bloom could be blissfully ignorant of any of it until the Trix or the Ancestral Witches attack Earth (if they sneaked in), or cowering in terror of The Fair Folk returning to torment her further (if they barged in).
  • At the start of season two, after residing for about three months in Light Rock and being subjected to their "treatment" for violent insanity, the Trix swears to be more evil shortly before Darkar breaks them out. Their Villain Song in the stage show states they cannot be redeemed by any love because they're that angry. The main (and possibly only) reason the Trix have remained villains after season one is the attempt to cure them of their insanity-insanity that, had come from a power-up they couldn't handle that had been since removed, was already almost completely taken care of.
