* Icy seems aware of the legend of the Snow Queen. When you compare the Snow Queen's Domain to [[spoiler: the frozen remains of Dyamond]], a lot of visual resemblances can be noted. Odds are Icy had time to do her own research [[spoiler: looking for a way to beat the Shaman Witch]] and stumbled upon the story of the Snow Queen.

* Icy seems aware of the legend of the Snow Queen. When Queen before Selina even brings it up. While it's easy to see why an ice witch would be interested in a story about a cold-hearted queen with ice powers, when you compare the Snow Queen's Domain to [[spoiler: the frozen remains of Dyamond]], a lot of visual resemblances can be noted. * Darcy is shown to have healing hands in Season 1, which migth seem a strange power for a witch to have. However Darcy's powers are Darkness based and things like a good night's rest in a dark room or lying down in the shade on a hot day have regenerative effects on the human body. So healing powers make perfect sense for someone with darkness powers and it's likely darkness/night themed fairies specialize in healing and regeneration spells.

* One might wonder why in the flashback for season 8, Icy would decide to [[spoiler: become a witch and dabble in dark magic rather than becoming a fairy or asking for help for her realm.]] Should we assume her being the descendant of an Ancestral Witch remains unaffected by the retcon, and as one of her bios states her powers come from dead planets, odds are that she didn't have much of a choice in the matter. Additionally, fairy magic requires positive emotions, which she would be cruelly lacking of [[spoiler: after what happened to Sapphire]].
** One of the dubs for the first season suggests that the descendants of the Ancestral Witches aren't allowed to be taught into any of the magic schools, requiring the Trix to make up a lot of false papers and documents to enroll. [[spoiler: This would explain why Icy wasn't brave enough to fight back against the Shaman Witch aside from cowardice, she likely didn't even know any offensive spell as she wouldn't be allowed to learn anything that'd make her a threat to anybody.]]
** With all of that in mind, she'd be inclined to believe no one would help her [[spoiler: despite being a princess. Claiming her realm was frozen to death by an evil witch when her own ancestor had ice powers and done the same to Domino, it wouldn't be hard to accuse her of being the culprit.]] And if she had already been refused magic lessons before forming the Trix, her forgoing her past and [[ThenLetMeBeEvil becoming the witch that we got to know]] would be the only outcome she could find.

* In season 6, after the Winx attack the Legendarium, only Bloom gets out with her powers intact (and yet she also feels exhausted). The Winx then discover they all, sans Bloom, have lost their magic. Faragonda tells Bloom that her Dragon Flame is inextingishable as the reason why she was spared. This explains why she was able to retrieve her magic back into season 1 at the end despite having it taken from her, as it wasn't just a part of her that couldn't leave, but just magic that couldn't be put out in general.
** Why does Bloom feel weak after splitting her flame into six when she was fine after the Trix stole it from her in season 1? They only stole her powers back when she was a base Winx fairy, and the reason she couldn't get her powers back at the time was mostly due to losing faith in herself. She likely didn't feel the same pain of a depower back then because she was only scratching the surface of her power and thus didn't actually lose all of it as she had been led to believe. Five seasons later however, she has a much better grasp of her powers since she's able to split her flame into equal pieces, and thus ends up more drained since she ''can'' access that much power at her core.
** It also helps while the Trix forced the Dragon Flame out of Bloom, she split her flame of her own volition for her friends and thus has better control over how much magic she could give and what shape she gives it.
** This also explains why Valtor returns in season 8. Bloom thought she had extinguished his flame with her fairy dust, but as we find out, that fire, his life force, can't be put out. All it did was destroy his form until he found a way to recover (which he did once he's allied himself with Obscurum), but just like her magic, it can never be fully taken out.
