Flodder 3 (1995) is the second sequel to Flodder.

The Flodders have moved back into their home in Zonnedael. However, with the upcoming 25th anniversary of the posh neighborhood, the neighborhood committee schemes to get rid of the anti-social Flodder Family once and for all.

This film provides examples of:

  • Big Bad: Ruud van Brandwijk, the leader of the Zonnedael neighborhood committee who becomes obsessed with getting rid of the Flodders.
  • Epic Fail: The tanker truck stolen by Van Brandwijk misses its target and crashes into the house next to the Flodders and destroys it in a fiery explosion. From Ruud's perspective, that is enough failure by itself, but the fire then follows the trail of gasoline that leaked out of the truck when the container was punctured by a garden ornament, setting numerous other houses on fire as well as a camper traveling on the road. The police who are sent to investigate get spooked by the camper and crash their car. They knock over a huge barrel full of more flammable liquid and cause its contents to spill into the sewers, setting all the other houses that weren't in the vicinity of the gasoline trail on fire as well in dozens of smaller explosions. A truck full of high-grade alcohol is hit by one of these as well, causing another HUGE explosion. The burning camper finally crashes into a garage where a lot of fireworks were stored, causing even more chaos as well as prevents the fire brigade from intervening when they come under fire from the fireworks. End result? The Flodders are unaffected but the rest of Zonnedael is burned down.
  • Grand Finale: The third movie was supposed to be this, but the series continued for two more seasons. However, it's fair to consider it the last chronological entry, since it ends with the Flodders owning their new home and the rest of Zonnedael being burned down and all their neighbors leaving for good.
  • Gratuitous Ninja: A group of ninjas (Kees' boyfriend and his fellow students from a martial arts school) comes to the Flodders' aid during a battle between the family and the police.
  • Hoist by His Own Petard: Van Brandwijk's attempt to destroy the Flodders by crashing a commandeered gasoline truck into their house results in the destruction of all the houses in his beloved neighborhood EXCEPT the Flodder's, including his own.
  • Laughing Mad: The bad guy completely loses it when an attempt to destroy the Flodders and their party by crashing a tanker truck into their house instead causes the entire rest of the neighbourhood to burn down, including his own home. He bursts into manic laughter as he's watching his own fireworks go off.
  • The Movie: As the series is much more comedic, less grounded, and less overtly sexual than the first two movies, the third installment feels more like an episode of the series than the first two do.
  • Obfuscating Disability: GRANDDAD. He's about to be run over by a truck when he suddenly jumps out of his wheelchair. note
  • The Peeping Tom: Son Kees spies on the female shower room of the local tennis club.
  • Punny Name: Ruud's surname, "Van Brandwijk", literally means "neighborhood (on) fire". He causes all of Zonnedael to be burned down, with the exception of the Flodder house.
  • Read the Fine Print: Moving the Flodder Family into the vacant house in Zonnedael was not a rubberstamp decision by the city council. The political parties who opposed the plan were given a bone by laying down a number of ground rules for the Flodders, such as not engaging in any criminal activities or expanding the household beyond 7 people. If they break any of these rules, their residence will be considered forfeit. This document proves to be vital in the villains' plans, as it gives them a way to get rid of the Flodders legally.
  • Secretly Rich: Ma Flodder almost marries a hobo that she fell in love with. It turns out that he's actually the head of an incredibly wealthy family and he wanted to get away from his demanding heirs for once.
  • Streetwalker: One of the bad guy's schemes is to get Kees to dress up as a hooker for an "audition" for a porno film, then dropping her off at a popular spot for streetwalkers and film her getting into a car with a stranger. Unfortunately, said stranger turns out to be working for the neighborhood council, meaning they cannot use the evidence without wrecking the reputation of one of their own.
  • Took a Level in Badass: Daughter Kees has been taking karate lessons. She uses it to beat up the tennis players who were chasing down Son Kees, several police officers who were trying to forcefully evict the Flodders, and even her own karate teacher boyfriend when she finds him cheating.
  • Villainous Breakdown: Van Brandwijk becomes so focused on getting rid of the Flodders (and repeatedly failing) that his own committee decides to sack him. He clearly loses his marbles because of this, pathetically tearing out a bed of flowers celebrating the anniversary of Zonnedael before proceeding to steal a gasoline truck and using a Deadfoot Leadfoot to drive it through a dozen backyards in a straight line into the Flodder house. Unfortunately for him, because Opa's wheelchair gets stuck underneath it, the truck ends up crashing into the house next to the Flodder Family and causes a chain reaction that results in every other house in the neighborhood burning down. In his last scene he is desperately trying to put out the fire consuming his own house as it ignites the anniversary fireworks stored in his garage. Van Brandwijk starts Laughing Mad at his self-inflicted Epic Fail.
  • Wheelchair Antics: Toet and Henkie put an engine on Grandpa’s wheelchair so he can leave the house without help. Unfortunately, it turns out to be a little too powerful.
  • Woman Scorned: Daughter Kees runs into her karate teacher boyfriend making out with another girl at a party. She beats him up with the same moves that he taught her.
  • Wrongful Accusation Insurance: The police show up to evict the Flodders from their home, bringing a riot team just in case, but the Flodders recruit all of their criminal friends and an entire karate school to fight back. The massive brawl is resolved when it turns out that the house will be auctioned next week and the Flodders do not have to leave at once since Sjakie is going to put in a bid on their behalf. Fair enough, but the cops don't even bother with any of the people who just assaulted two dozen police officers.
