This story provides examples of the following tropes:
- Adaptational Badass: Deku is pretty strong with One For All but with the powers of One Punch Man, he is an absolute powerhouse that not even All Might and All For One can defeat.
- Adaptational Early Appearance: Because Mirio works under All Might's tutelage, he gets to meet Midoriya way earlier.
- Adaptational Jerkass: Instead of becoming a better person, Shinso develops a more aggressive stance after being defeated by Midoriya.
- Adaptational Nice Guy: Since Midoriya has a Quirk, Bakugou is more respectful (begrudgingly) towards Midoriya.
- Adaptational Personality Change: Downplayed Trope. Midoriya adopts Saitama's nonchalant attitude. However, he does retain some of his heroic personality and analytical skills.
- Alternate Universe: The series centers on a universe where Midoriya's hard work and training gives him the abilities of One Punch Man.
- Badass Normal:
Word of God states that Midoriya is the first Quirkless hero. - Beware the Superman: All Might fears that Midoriya might possibly become a villain and begs Aizawa and the other teachers to nurture Midoriya's heroism to prevent that.
- Big Damn Heroes: Izuku steps in to save All Might from the Deep Sea King.
- Big Good: All Might invokes this. He wants both Mirio and Izuku to be the greatest heroes in the world.
- Bullying the Dragon: Anyone that tries to take down Deku will be the ones that will be taken down instead, main insitgator being Bakugou.
- Cassandra Truth:
- Midoriya tries to explain to everyone the origins of his abilities but they dismiss it as presposterous.
- Apart from those that have actually seen it, not many can actually see All Might being beaten by Midoriya until they face the latter himself.
- Composite Character:
- Deku is a mixture of himself and Saitama's personalities, having the former's desire for heroism and analytical thinking and Saitama's strength and nonchalance.
- Shinso is a mixture between himself and Speed-o'-Sound Sonic's personalities, getting the latter's desire in beating Deku/Saitama.
- Word of God confirms that Shigaraki will develop a mixture between himself and Garou.
- Contrived Coincidence: Boros invades Earth just as All Might starts his final battle against All For One. Some of the Pro Heroes, even All Might believe that All For One is connected to the alien invasion.
- Curb-Stomp Battle: As One Punch Man, Midoriya easily floors opponents, especially ones that defeated him in canon.
- Defeating the Undefeatable: Midoriya besting All Might is this to everyone.
- Evil Is Petty: Muscular's reason for attacking Midoriya, other than Shigaraki's orders, is that the boy called his damaged eye gross.
- For Want Of A Nail:
- Instead of Midoriya, All Might bestows "One For All" to Mirio.
- Izuku takes out the Nomu preventing All Might from suffering critical injuries.
- Izuku won the U.A. Sports Festival.
- Fusion Fic: The series blends elements of both series. While the setting takes place on My Hero Academia, additional elements and characters like Deep Sea King and Boros from One Punch Man are added in.
- Mass "Oh, Crap!": The villains are dumbfounded when Midoriya easily kills Nomu.
- Standard Hero Reward: Midoriya convinces Mineta to help in the fight at the U.S.J. by telling him that he'll receives kisses from his classmates for his heroic acts.
- Theme Music Power-Up: After the Pro-Heroes attempts to dissaude Midoriya from fighting the aliens, Midoriya brushes it off and tells them that he's the "One Punch Man". Then, the "One Punch Man" theme plays as Midoriya launches himself into the ship.

- Wham Episode: Part 13 has the world find out about Midoriya single handedly defeating the alien invasion. Because of this act, he is instantly ranked as the #1 Hero.
- World's Strongest Man: Deku is so powerful that he surpasses both All Might and All For One.
- You Got Guts: Miruko is absolutely impressed with Midoriya who jumps into the spaceship to confront the aliens. She even wants him to become her sidekick so that they can kill people much to the other Pro Heroes' disapproval.
