Fandom-Specific Plot from the Amphibia fandom.
- Fics that revolve around the girls being transported to the titular world when they were toddlers, with Anne being raised as a normal Wartwood citizen by the Plantars, while Sasha and Marcy are raised as princesses by the toads and newts respectively.
- Role Swap AUs where the girls end up with different species when landing in Amphibia. Such stories were initially limited to only Anne and Sasha swapping, while Marcy remained with the newts. Once she finally had more appearances and fans gained an understanding of her character, Marcy started getting shuffled around regularly as well.
- Fics about the trio's relationship and how it affects each of them are pretty much a dime a dozen. Some of these stories are AUs where the events of Amphibia never happened, or are continuations of what would happen after the events of canon.
- Most of the time, those fics involve all three girls ending up in a polyamorous relationship with each other and the drama that comes with it.
- Adding to the above, a popular storyline and conflict for the Sasha, Anne, and Marcy romance have the trio now dealing with being in a Destructive Romance with each other, considering how their friendship in canon is already toxic to an extent.
- Sasha and Marcy's own dysfunctional families being involved in the mess and Anne having to deal with being the only one with a normal family is another conflict that's added in those fics.
- Sometimes, other school-related drama with various classmates, like Maggie, will show up as well.
- There's also AUs of the series dealing with teenage drama and romance, with the Plantars and Co. (if they're involved) as (though rare, sometimes) humans that act as Parental Substitute(s) to the trio.
- Additionally, in those Earth focused fics, since Andrias and the Core are either not adapted in, only appear as a cameo of sorts, or are merely mentioned, the main villains/antagonists roles are instead given to both Sasha and Marcy's parents, Maggie, an OC(s) or a mixture of all of the above.
- Annegel of Death AUs, where Anne is some kind of Grim Reaper are surprisingly common, stemming from twice in the show Anne is referred to as Angel of Death and wields a scythe.
- After the events of "The Hardest Thing", fanworks dealing with Anne's life after becoming the Guardian and what she does in that role are rising in popularity.
- The idea of Sprig, Polly, Ivy and Maddie going on their own adventures post-series has quickly risen in popularity since "The Hardest Thing" aired.
- Should there be a crossover with The Owl House, expect the following:
- The reveal that there's a Calamity Box in the titular location's basement, which Luz brings up to Anne and giving her hope that she can use it to travel from Amphibia to Earth.
- If the story ever begins with Marcy moving, expect her to end up in Connecticut. Whether she meets and befriends Luz or not, she's bound to end up in the Boiling Isles, get enrolled in Hexside and obtain a dragon palisman, acting as a nod to her heritage. Marcy's Journal stating that she canonically moved to Hopkinton, Massachusetts didn't put a dent in this, with the writers simply changing destinations.
- Sometimes she even ends up helping Luz and her friends find a way back to the Boiling Isles after befriending them, thus getting involved with the main plot somehow. Anne and Sasha getting contacted by Marcy at some point is one element that's also included in those types of stories.
- The idea that Anne Boonchuy and Sasha Waybright got into a relationship with each other after Marcy Wu moved is one popular interpretation on what could've happened in between the Time Skip in the finale, only for the two to break up later on due to unresolved issues. This later leads to them reconnecting at Prom, which seems to go well at first, only for things to go downhill again, making them split apart for good, at least until the epilouge. Either way, both still end up as Amicable Exes in the end.
- Fics about the trio finding a way back to Amphibia after the Time Skip are quite common, as is the plot element of The Core then turning out to be Not Quite Dead and needing to be fought again.
- Fics that alter the show's ending in favor of one where the trio (or at least one of the girls) permanently stay in Amphibia, often going as far as to show what each of the girls end up doing for their adult lives or simply their still-teen selves adjusting to having to accept being away from Earth forever.
