Claire
Claire D'Lune
"I want. To dieeee.."
Voiced by: Elyse Castro
A young, feline witch who lives with her pet cat and assistant, Edgar. She's almost always trying to conjure up something, usually to better convenience her.
- Ambiguous Species: According to the early comics, she's a wood elf, but she has a distinctively feline appearance and looks even moreso in the animated adaptation. Elyse Castro even refers to her as a cat one time. In one interview, she confirms that Claire is meant to be half-wood elf, half-cat, explaining her predominantly feline features but elf-like ears and humanoid appearance.
- All Witches Have Cats: In the form of Edgar, which is a bit ironic considering she's actually half-cat and Edgar is anthropomorphic.
- Goth Girls Know Magic: She's very talented in witchcraft, and is always dressed in gloomy, dark clothing.
- Hidden Depths: This comic reveals that she suffers from anxiety, and that it's partially linked to a rough childhood that involved being orphaned and some sort of traumatic experience(s).
- Missing Mom: A fortune teller cites a "lack of maternal love" as reason for Claire's anxiety. She confirms that she was raised by a foster mother.
- Sitcom Arch-Nemesis: Swan.
Edgar
Edgar
Voiced by: Issac Ryan Brown
Claire's pet cat and assistant. He is a mischeivous little kitty and gets himself into trouble a lot but is overall good-natured and tries his best to listen to Claire.
- Big Eater: As evidenced by his theft of Fluff Top's "chocolate".
- Cheerful Child: He's a playful kitty who's always in high spirits and getting into trouble.
- Furry Confusion: He's an anthropomorphic cat, but is owned by Claire, who is half-feline.
- The Heart: In contrast to Claire's gloominess, Edgar is usually in a great mood, and helps lift his mentor's spirits.
- Tagalong Kid: Is usually accompanying Claire on her pursuits for ingredients or in her summoning rituals.
Swan
Swan
Claire's classmate, introduced in a comic. She's constantly trying to show Claire up, but never really succeeds.
- Academic Alpha Bitch: She's always trying to flaunt her perceived superior intellect to Claire. Possibly subverted on the "bitch" part, as the pitch bible mentions she's extremely kind to everyone except Claire.
- Berserk Button: Do not call her by her real name under any circumstances. See Embarrassing First Name below.
- Embarrassing First Name: Swan isn't her real name, it's Bertha. Referring to her by her real name is a bad idea.
- Evil Counterpart: She looks conspicuously like Claire, and fills an antagonistic Foil role to her. Though, "evil" might be a stretch as she's just an Academic Alpha Bitch at worst, and Claire isn't exactly a saint herself.
- Familiar: Her familiar is a female frog who constantly flirts with Edgar, much to Swan's disapproval.
- Perky Goth: The pitch bible refers to her as a pastel goth who shows extreme kindness to everyone...except Claire that is.
- The Rival: To Claire. She's pretty bad at keeping up.
- Sitcom Arch-Nemesis: Claire.
