/a/ has achieved its dream!

The main protagonist of Magia Revolution and Magia Rebuild. Not much is known about Faust's past but that's not really the important factor here. What's really important is her purpose. It is, well, to fix everything of course! However, it's not really that easy. Complications like new witches, distortions in the world around her and her own personality stop her from doing so!

  • Action Girl: During the course of Magia Revolution Faust doesn't get much action. After she contracts in the middle of Magia Rebuild, Faust gets to kick some ass.
  • And Then John Was a Zombie: Faust becomes the Witch of Infinity near the climax of Rebuild.
  • Ascended to a Higher Plane of Existence: It's not exactly clear but during End of Magia, Faust causes a Time Crash that somehow fixes everything. She ends up in Starcrossed Place and has one last talk with Homura, but her fate is ultimately unknown.
  • Berserk Button: Do NOT touch any of Faust's friends. Just don't.
  • Chaotic Selfish: Faust's ultimate character alignment. She doesn't care about anyone else but her friends and that's her ultimate motivation. Madoka cares for others including her friends while Faust completely disregards everyone else BUT her friends and their family.
  • Curtains Match the Window: Faust was inside Madoka's body during Magia Revolution, so this was to be expected. Averted later on during Rebuild in which Faust takes a Muggle form of Madoka's goddess form.
  • Deadpan Snarker: Has this attitude towards Anbey in Rebuild.
  • Desperately Looking for a Purpose in Life: During Magia Rebuild Faust gets depressed because she can't do anything like she could in Revolution. The importance that she felt when she defeated Walpurgisnacht is gone. Now she's left with a feeling of longing back to the times she could be of use. As time goes on, the feeling grows stronger.
  • Expy: Archer of Fate/stay night fame. Faust uses two black and white swords that have a boomerang effect. To hammer it in FURTHER, she has the use of a Reality Marble. She can also use all of her friends attacks by projecting their weapons. It also doesn't help that she made a contract to gain the power to make a difference.]]
  • Faust: Ummm... yeah. Duh.
  • Final Speech: Gives on to Homura in End of Magia about how she regrets that she couldn't live a normal life with them and about how she wish she could have had a true family.
  • First-Name Basis: Calls EVERYONE by their first names and never uses Japanese Honorifics.
  • Heroic BSoD: Has one at the End of Magia during her Final Speech.
  • Fixer Sue: Her ultimate goal. Note her varying levels of success.
  • Heroic Bystander: During an Infernal Witch attack in the beginning of Rebuild, Faust tries to fight it while others panic. It doesn't work out to well.
  • Heroic Sacrifice: Faust's ultimate fate at the End of Magia.
  • Heroic Self-Deprecation: Not really present in Magia Revolution because Faust does have a purpose while still in Madoka's body. It's present in Magia Rebuild before Faust makes the contract with Anbey.
  • Improbable Age: Faust is only two months old.
  • Laser-Guided Amnesia: The use of the psychic powers in Revolution come back to haunt Faust in Rebuild. She gradually starts losing memories and has to keep a journal to remind herself of the names of her friends and what she has done in the past
  • Meaningful Name: The protagonist named themselves Faust, after all.
  • Nice Girl: Zigzagged. Faust is only nice to her friends. She could care less about everyone else.
  • Nice Job Breaking It, Hero: Faust's psychic powers caused distortions in the world of Madoka Magica. Let's just say everything didn't go her way.
  • Selfless Wish: The wish that she made was to Have the power to protect her friends, if that's vague enough.
  • Storm of Blades: Moonblade Tornado causes blades to fall down from the sky to impale the opponent. It was only used once but apparently Faust had the ability to stab her sword into the ground to create a Field of Blades.
  • Story-Breaker Power: Let's see here. Faust has a Reality Marble that allows her to use all of her friends powers with unlimited magic for a limited amount of time. Couple that with the Spear of Destiny. The only limiting factor of this is that Faust's magical power is the lowest out of the entire cast of Madoka Magica, including Homura.
  • Unskilled, but Strong: Faust's strength doesn't come from her talent as a fighter but her arsenal of different attacks copied via her ability with the Power of Friendship.
  • Useless Protagonist: Tries to avoid falling into this during the beginning of Magia Rebuild.
  • The Unreveal: Faust's witch name.
