Main Cast

"Bob"

Owns the CaFae Latte. A 1200-year-old fairy sorceress, princess, and general, exiled from the fae realm for being too pro-human. Very fond of cursing people. Bob is aromantic and uses she/her pronouns.

• The Exile: Got kicked out for interfering with a plot to kidnap the child of a human noble family.
• Four-Star Badass: Saw combat leading fae armies and has no issue getting her hands dirty.
• Magic Knight: Proficient in both swordfighting and magic, particularly curses.
• Really 700 Years Old: Her chronological age is around 1200, but due to the Year Outside, Hour Inside nature of the fae realm, she's been around for over 5000 years.

"Cyrus"

Bob's ward and sole employee. Cyrus is asexual and uses he/him pronouns.

• Bookworm: Cyrus is revealed to be quite the reader, as he listens to audiobooks due to his dyslexia and maintains a popular Booktok account.
• Really 700 Years Old: About 300 years old. By fae standards, he's about 19.

Jennifer "JC" Charles Scott

JC originally came in to ask Bob to erase their deadname. They later became the cafe's contract baker, making baked goods at home that the cafe could sell safely to humans. After the move to the new location, they were hired full time as the kitchen manager. Currently dating Nicole. JC uses they/them pronouns.

• Given Name Reveal: Erik reveals that JC's last name is Scott, as its the only part of their name he can remember after Bob erased their deadname.
• Trans Tribulations: Downplayed. JC has gone through a LOT as a result of their gender identity, including drug abuse and time in prison, but that's largely in the past.

Nicole

The most regular customer and the only main character to not actually work at CaFae Latte. Nicole is an artist who does the business side of things at the cafe where she is less easily distracted. Nicole is a practicing Buddhist, autistic, and probably part fae. She has also been studying witchcraft and dating JC. Nicole is lesbian^note When Nicole was introduced, she identified as bisexual as she is attracted to both women and non-binary people. Recently, she has changed her identification to lesbian as that term has come to mean "non-men exclusively attracted to non-men" which includes her. and uses she/her pronouns.

• Half-Human Hybrid: It has never been confirmed, but it is generally assumed that Nicole has some fae ancestry, given that she has an allergy to iron.
• Trademark Favorite Food: Always orders a hot chocolate.

New Hires

Mrs. Husniya

A Muslim woman recently hired by CaFae Latte. Mrs. Husniya uses she/her pronouns.

• Happily Married
• Team Mom: Has a tendency to go into "mommy mode" when other people get hurt.

Rethu

A genderfluid dragon.

• Really 700 Years Old: Rethu is about 200, making them a young adult by dragon standards.
• Twofer Token Minority: Rethu is genderfluid, Jewish, and a dragon.

Recurring Characters

Yarn Granny

An very sweet older Southern woman who owns a yarn shop nearby. Veteran Grandpa's wife.

• Cool Old Lady: She's very progressive, often smacking down bigoted or narcissistic customers
• No Name Given: She and her husband have not revealed their names. While this is generally a good attitude when dealing with the fae, it's more of a running joke at this point.

Veteran Grandpa

Yarn Granny's husband. A veteran Air Force firefighter who became a volunteer first responder.

• spoiler:Friendly Sniper: Turns out to be a pretty good sniper during the fight against the unicorns.

Lindsey

A magic user who kidnapped Bob with her sister's help.

• The Atoner: Cursed by Bob until she helps a certain number of people, she genuinely puts the effort in and eventually succeeds.
• Heel–Face Turn: Legitimately regrets her actions, volunteers at a soup kitchen as part of her rehabilitation, and becomes an ally of the Cafe crew.
• I Have No Son!: She's since cut ties with her sister, who is unrepentant.
