** A good portion of his beef against Hajime is his jealousy of how Kaori and Shizuku would prefer the latter's company over him, even believing that Hajime is either brainwashing them or using some method of force. Yet, whenever he's put in a TheNeedsOfTheMany situation, Kouki will have no problems sacrificing or endangering them ForTheGreaterGood.

* EyesOutOfSight: His hair tends to cover the upper half of his face, which only adds to his status as TheNondescript. When he enters his "Abyssgate" persona, he averts this by slicking his hair back, but he ''still'' covers his eyes with a pair of sunglasses.

* InvisibleIntrovert: One of the several introverted loners in the class, he has a low presence - to the point where he sometimes isn't noticed by ''automatic doors''. He ends up with the Assassin class in the other world, allowing him to sneak past monsters in the labyrinth.

** [[GreenEyedMonster Envy]] The main reason for Daisuke's hatred of Hajime is that Kaori gave the latter all of her attention - and his envy was such that he actually attempted to get Hajime killed. Multiple times. Not only does this fail in achieving the expected result, it actually leads to his own downfall.

** {{Wrath}}: He is short-tempered and easy to enrage, with Hajime (who is ironically equally wrathful after he fell into the Orcus Labyrinth) being his main target, as he hates him for getting Kaori's attentions and believes he is more deserving of them. However, while Hajime has a lot of self-control and doesn't allow his anger to blind him, Daisuke always fails in controlling his wrath, which makes him act recklessly and, ultimately, results in his death at Hajime's hands.

* {{Foil}}: To Hajime's Party - The "Hero" party made-up of Hajime's former classmates are made of over twenty people and has the backing of the Church of Ehit; their goal being to save humanity and the world from the threat of the Demons. Hajime and his girls are all that make up their group (around 5 or so) and are only out for themselves, usually helping others for their own reasons, benefit, or simply a side-effect of their real goals.
* ItsAllAboutMe: Some classmates show shades of this, as even after bullying Hajime and not investigating the true cause of his "death", they still expected him to help them when they met him again, after he became much stronger then them. Some of the boys even tried to get him to spill on how to make girl of Tortus fall in love with them after seeing the girls in Hajime's harem.

* UnwittingPawn: The class believes that they were chosen by the gods in order to save humanity from the threat of the demons and will be able to return home if successful. In reality, Tortus' Pantheon use all life as pieces on their game board and couldn't care less about sending them home.

* TheStrategist: Oscar is a highly capable strategist, whether it is coming up with a well thought-out plan before entering a fight, or having to immediately improvise a new fighting strategy.

* VitriolicBestBuds: With Vandre Schnee, as both of them have diametrically opposite Ancient magic and architectual preferences. He even crafted a BFS called Dragon Slayer specifically against him.

* ThirdPersonPerson: She tends to talk in third person, calling herself "Miledi-chan" to sound cutesy.

* MagicKnight: She's both a powerful water mage and swordswoman.

* NotWorthKilling: The '''Only''' reason why Hajime doesn't immediately put a bullet in all of them the next time they finally meet again after Orcus is because he believes it would be far more poetic to let them all die in this new world, experiencing the same level of helplessness and despair that they once subjected him to. And it shows. As he was only just [[RageBreakingPoint barely]] restraining himself from killing [[PureIsNotGood Kouki]] when he finally saw him again. [[spoiler: [[BeyondRedemption Hiyama,]] on the other hand [[TooDumbToLive continued to push his luck]] [[KarmicDeath and eventually paid for it.]]]]

* ParanoiaFuel: After the demon attack on the Heiligh Kingdom's capital, as well as the revelation of [[spoiler:Eri and Hiyama's]] betrayal, the class became mistrustful of each other given the fact that there was a possibility that more classmates could be traitors, as that general mistrust undermined the class' cohesion. Aiko was the only person that all of the classmates trusted as she worked on trying to repair the broken trust between the classmates.

* {{Unwitting Pawn}}s: The class believes that they were chosen by the gods in order to save humanity from the threat of the demons and will be able to return home if successful. In reality, Tortus' Pantheon use all life as pieces on their game board and couldn't care less about sending them home.

* TeacherStudentRomance: She developed feelings for her former student, Nagumo Hajime, after he saved her life from poisoning by [[MouthToMouthForceFeeding feeding her a potion via mouth-to-mouth]] [[spoiler:and consoling her after her fermentation skill resulted in a FantasticNuke that killed everyone in the Holy Church's cathedral]].

* ThatCameOutWrong: Because of his naive outlook and impulsive behavior, Kouki will often say things that ''really'' [[ItSeemedLikeAGoodIdeaAtTheTime would've only sounded better in his head]] and failed to see how inappropriate they can be interpreted. This is best seen in volume 4 where he tries to prevent Kaori from going with Hajime, much to everyone ''cringing'' at his words:
