Have a question about how the TVTropes wiki works? No one knows this community better than the people in it, so ask away! Ask the Tropers is the page you come to when you have a question burning in your brain and the support pages didn't help.
It's not for everything, though. For a list of all the resources for your questions, click here. You can also go to this Directory thread
for ongoing cleanup projects.
Ask the Tropers is for:
- • General questions about the wiki, how it works, and how to do things.

Ask the Tropers:
openIs this character viable to having unmarked spoilers?
Zombie Land Saga: Sakura Minamoto A lot of her page is made up of spoilers which is described on the policy page as being like "a swiss cheese reading". At the very least I think season 1 info could stand to be unmarked since that's been out for at least two years now (2nd season ended just last week).
openWho wants to talk about Cheat Slayer? Anime
A manga by the same Author of Kakegurui officially titled Killing the People Reincarnated In The Other World - Cheat Slayer was cancelled after a single chapter due to both the synopsis and the main villains which where directly based (not inspired) on protagonists from various Isekai manga. Many manga readers and artists complained in force because they saw the plot as mean spirited and the villains' designs were too similar to their inspirations which Japanese Law could had deem a copyright infringement on the part of the Author if an artist pushed for it.
The manga wanted to be what Marshal Law was to western superhero comics, an attempt to destroy the genre by having the protagonist seeking revenge against powerful people that came from "another world" who rather than become heroes like in most Isekai media, became hedonist rapists, murderers and sadists who have united to form the Council of "People against God".
Can this be considered a Stillborn Franchise? What can we learn from this? Can we make a page for it?
Edited by GoodGamer14openTrooper adding commented out entries. Western Animation
So in Miraculous Ladybug, the troper Cartoon Queen 99 keeps adding commented out trope examples.
I sent them a notifier to stop a few weeks back ,along with others and they were the only person to not respond back.
And notes were added to the pages not to do this as shown here but their still continuing to do this.
As shown in these edits. Their still continuing this.
Edited by miraculousopenGuns Do Not Work That Way redirect question
Would it be appropriate/worthwhile to add Artistic License - Firearms as a redirect to Guns Do Not Work That Way? Apologies if this is the wrong place to ask or if it's come up before.
Edited by UnsungopenHow TF can I do drinking games? Anime
I want to do one for Love Hina but I can't find any way to do it.
openTroper with bad grammar.
On Funny.Genshin Impact, troper fingernailblueblueblue7 wrote this example. I'll highlight the bad grammar parts in bold.
- When signing up for the Crux Clash, you're asked to present some of your claims to fame. After you and Paimon how share howyou saved Dvalin and defeating Childe, the Traveler shares an uncharacteristically smug smile with Paimon at the tournament registrant and the other competitors' awed reactions.
openTop Gear Page Formatting Live Action TV
The page formatting for Recap.Top Gear UK and Awesome.Top Gear UK is, to put it bluntly, kind of a hot mess. Things are sorted by event types instead of series, making it nearly impossible to sort moments or recap episodes. What should be done?
openIssue on Metroid Dread page Videogame
Metroid Peter keeps on removing colons from examples on the Metroid Dread page that have subbullets even after being told not to.
openTakeshi's challenge technicality.
So I was looking at Takeshi's Challenge and I noticed it calls the enemies of the game Yakuza, most likely because that's what JonTron interpreted them as.
Though, after looking at their design, the enemies seem more like Bosozoku than Yakuza...is there any official conformation that the enemies that spawn in the game are yakuza?
openNeed help looking for a particular video without a watermark. Web Original
I want to add a video example for Tyrant Takes the Helm from the Dream SMP page. For context, an election takes place, and Schlatt wins before immediately exiling Wilbur and Tommy. I wanted to be able to do it from Tommy's perspective, however, the only source I can find has a YouTube watermark. As stated by the Video Guidelines, watermarks are a big no no. Should I put it in anyway and wait to hear what the moderators say, or should I keep looking for a non-watermark source?
Edited by TheGrayShadowopenI'm considering adding an example to Iconic Sequel Character... Videogame
...But I'm not sure if it counts. Basically, I want to say something like, "Several recognisable Animal Crossing mainstays, such as Blathers and the Able Sisters, weren't introduced until the Updated Re-release of the original game", but I'm not sure if that really counts as a "sequel".
openConverting to Creator Pages
Before I make the move, I just wanted to put here that I was going to move Music.Keke Palmer and Music.China Anne Mcclain to Creator pages as they're more known for their acting/presenting gigs
open Cleanup may be needed on StockSoundEffects
Not sure if this is the right place to ask, but I was just looking at Stock Sound Effects and it's a wonderland of broken YouTube links, ZCEs and justifying edits. I fixed one of the broken links, but while I was looking for more to do I noticed the other issues and figured I should say something.
Edited by lee4hmzopenPage Blanking Videogame
Shorlom's only "contribution" to the site is blanking the YMMV for CrossCode.
openPage revert needed, ban evader?
This page has been blanked by Bluegoodguy. On top of needing a page revert, I think this is also Dudefan, another Troper who once vandalized the page, ban evading
openEdit War Film
Rice Romp added the following to Narm.Spider Man Trilogy on March 17th:
I removed it as it was deemed not to be an example by the Narm clean-up thread
Today he added this to the page which, is more or less the same example but with slightly different wording:
openPermission to remove spoilerly image Live Action TV
I have discussed this in IP discussion forum about an spoiler image from awesome moments page for Loki (2021) but I don't have an answer if I can pull this image. So I need your guys permission if I can pull it.
openNightmare Fuel misuse?
- The ad for Sunblock 5000. The girl states that the ozone layer is now gone and that a mere twenty seconds in the California sun is too much now for unprotected skin. Unless, of course, one applies an whole pint of Sunblock 5000, which is blue, to their entire body. Oh, and there's a Surgeon General's warning that it will, not can, will cause skin cancer, the very thing you're trying to avoid by using the damn stuff in the first place.
This sounds more like Black Comedy than scary (it's also under Funny.Robo Cop 2). Thoughts? I asked Nightmare Fuel cleanup but was ignored.
Troper Rockinghood has deleted the trope lists for two roleplays, What Time Is It, Mr. Wolf? and Red Rover. I messaged them several days ago asking why, and haven't gotten a response.
