Prematurely launched pages and pages that weren't fully fleshed out at the point of launching, are a big problem. Since these usually share several problems at once, this thread is aimed at re-running them through the TLP for fixing - the usual fix - or cutting them if they are too bad.
Problems this thread deals with include bad names, not enough/bad examples, unclear description, etc.
For the interested, here's a list of recently created pages. Launches
Note: Please do not request a mod to unlaunch drafts that don't have any issues besides lacking a launch notice/24hr launch notice. While 24hr launch notices are mandatory, there are a few exceptions to the rule. If you see a draft's sponsor launch a TLP without an announcement, it's best to remind them of our TLP Guidelines first. If they continue to repeatedly launch drafts without a launch notice, you can report them on Ask The Tropers or the TLP Community Issues thread.

Two more items, so tht I don't have to tackle too much tomorrow:
- Funny.Drifting: Another in the "why was this page created blank?" theme; by ~Gamesand Tropes.
- Swinging Pendulum: Stub work page; creator messaged.
Today's worklist:
- The Academy Of Almost Gods: Stub work page; creator messaged.
- Bloody Roar: Work page with no indexing and crosswicking; I've messaged them, but I'll note this here since they got suspended over problematic page creations already.
Also, ~Patachou, can you please crosswick the pages you create? Most of these pages only get a few, if any, examples crosswicked.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanFound Webcomic.Promises Promises, which apparently was created in 2012. Has no tropes on its page and is only linked from Slice-of-Life Webcomics.
Not right away, not right awayEarly morning worklist:
- Characters.Petera Dzive: Empty unindexed character page by ~Sir Loin Of Beef.
- Cowbirds In Love: Stub work page; creator messaged.
- The Society Of Others: Stub work page; creator messaged.
- The Super Crew: Stub work page; creator messaged.
- The Wicked + The Divine: Stub work page; creator messaged.
Regarding The Emerald Forest, Fire in the Sky, My Life as a Dog and The War, ~bejjinks, please don't create unindexed work pages with no trope list. We have no use for these.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanSorry, I just started creating those pages and I'm new at this. I plan on completing those pages with tropes appropriately.
As for sandboxing an already launched page, just copy the source text of the already-launched page into Sandbox.Title Of The Page and work on it there. One can leave the main article alone until the sandbox is ready for launching.
Otherwise, Recap.Arrested Development S 4 E 2 Borderline Personalities is an empty page by ~Bibs Dibs.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard Feynman@Septimus Heap I was hoping someone would add more stuff to the page. But if you want sandbox it or whatever, it's fine by me.

Bit of old news, but Tabletop Game Tropes was launched with only 2 hats and could probably be merged with Game Tropes or Tabletop Games.
Thoughts? If nothing else, it could use some Wiki Magic.
Health sure is versatile. It's possible to be both light-headed and dim-witted. At the same time, no less.Actually, I already added at least three tropes to each page and filled out the descriptions. Thank you though as I now have a better idea of how to do this in the future. I do still need indexes though.

Today no stub work pages, but ~Arawn999 moved the content from Characters.Carnage to ComicBook.Carnage even though it still looks like a character page.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanIf you like I could move it back.
Did Tintin Shout Out clear YKTTW? I can't find any record of it. It's not short on examples, but it does read a bit like a The Same But More Specific version of Shout-Out (without reaching the ubiquitous levels of Shout Outs to things like the Bible or the works of William Shakespeare).
Well it has more examples than To HP Lovecraft, but it looks like the president is to make subpages of Shout-Out rather than new trope pages.
precedent. Not president. I wondered "which one?" for a second, or whether Barack Obama had joined the wiki.

Keeper of The Celestial FlameI was wondering the same thing...
"Joking" aside, it still seems as though the examples on Tintin Shout Out should go on something like ShoutOut/Tintin rather than having their own trope. I mean, I like Tintin as much as the next person (well except for the first two books and Flight 714 (aliens in the Tintinverse? Really!?)), but a Shout-Out to Belgium's second-greatest gift to the world (after their chocolates) is still a Shout-Out, not a trope of its own.
Today's worklist:
- Characters.Dishonoredrp: Badly formatted unindexed character page. You may want to take a look at Characters.Kill La Kill, ~Feras.
- Franchise.Comic Party: Why is this in that namespace? The namespace is for franchise hub pages, not for standalone pages, ~rexpensive.
- Friends with Benefits: Stub work page; creator messaged.
- Tintin Shout Out: It was launched without YKTTW. It does seem to have enough examples to stand, although I am not sure about the validity of the example.
Septimus, it doesn't seem like everyone knows the rules concerning the franchise namespace, even people you would expect to. I didn't until you told me in this thread.
Keeper of The Celestial FlameA couple reasons, one being that it is a franchise per our rules with three different media included and the other being that there was not enough information on any one version to make stand alone pages. Typically when there are not a huge number of tropes a videogame series or book series etc will be grouped into one page until/unless they get big enough to split, I did not expect a multi-media franchise would need to be treated differently.
(see Administrivia.Namespace) "Represented by at least three namespaces" means different things to different people, and it doesn't say "having articles in at least three namespaces" which it should do if your interpretation is correct.
Keeper of The Celestial Flame<Sigh> So, how plausible is a sea depth (after stripping out sediment layers) of 7km outside of subduction trenches?
Sorry, just distracted by a worldbuilding problem that I've been working on for a few months. To address the issues of the thread...
"Represented by at least three namespaces" means that the franchise in question needs to have pages in 3 different namespaces (or mediums). It was after all created to hold the "Hub" articles that several franchises have. If you have a page that covers several mediums, the namespace used is the one for the original medium.
Also, in other namespace related questions, Eleanor Of Aquitaine was launched into the wrong namespace and needs indexing besides; by ~Penny Dreadful. Also, apparently a different text from the one in the still unlaunched YKTTW was used - I would recommend to cut the current page altogether and to launch the YKTTW one into the Useful Notes namespace.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanRe: Tintin Shout Out: I'd think that, instead of a Shout-Out subpage, it should be a Referenced by... subpage.
There also appears to be some overlap between ShoutOut.To Shakespeare and some pages linked on ReferencedBy.Theatre.

Not right away, not right away'Aight, I will move it to the videogame namespace then if that is the policy.
ETA: Done and done.

Good point; it catalogues references TO the Tintin adventures, not references BY them. Still doesn't seem like a trope of its own either way.
Oh my gosh I am so sorry! I feel really stupid now u_u I meant to redirect it to A Dog Ate My Homework but I just realized that I copied the text from Text-Formatting Rules and forgot to actually change the bit that says Buffy The Vampire Slayer into A Dog Ate My Homework
Edit: fixed
