Rape Trope renames.

On a sidenote, maybe the three first sentences could use a pothole to Sarcasm Mode?

I still stand by Abuse Depicted as Sexy and I haven't heard a counter against it.

@shima: Ah, okay. I wasn't too sure on if we were killing just the dirty titles or any objectionable ones on that list.

I'm going to erase that and All Rapists Are Male (I didn't add that one but it's there) from the sandbox page then. Did we agree on Its Not Rape If You Enjoyed It? I'm leaning towards Common Rapist Excuse but "she was dressed seductively" is one too, so...

Yeah just have a "To be TR Sed" section on the sandbox. (of course TRS has to open up first... The anime tropes special efforts thread had a TRS list a mile long but still waiting for people to create threads.)

Happy Rape Victim Excuse? Maybe with "Happy" in it?

Well, can we please deal with the seven other tropes out of the original first bunch of ten: "Aliens Made Them Do It, Anal Probing, And Now You Must Marry Me, Aren't You Going to Ravish Me?, Attempted Rape, Bathe Her and Bring Her to Me, Bed Trick". I think we can move them to "Fine as is:"

Agree that renaming them isn't necessary. Definition and examples cleanup, maybe.

Okay basically all done eating. And the rest of you aren't allowed to eat until the rest of this issue is completely resolved. Because you're just so diligent.

Some of these shouldn't be on this index, but their names look mostly okay.

Really, of those ten, Abusively Sexy is the only one that sounds sexually explicit. The other ones are probably fine as is. That hasn't been renamed already at least.

Let's sort out the problem ones.

• All Abusers Are Male could be changed to Abusers Depicted As Male.
• All Men Are Rapists could be changed to Men Depicted As Rapists.

I agree that the names on all of those (the new list) look fine.

I thought we'd agreed that those had a different problem than we are dealing with now, and therefore weren't getting renamed now.

All Males Depicted As Abusers and All Men Depicted As Rapists are my ideas there.

Adding that to the list. We'll think about renaming/fixing those later then.

Those two don't need to be fixed. They're not what needs to be repaired right now. Bathe Her and Bring Her to Me is closer to the sort of objectionable condoning that we're cleaning right now.

Leave those two alone. Let's work on the ones that need to be done.
