That's an Order!, especially the film examples.
EDIT: I just want to add that I commented out a few examples on My Hovercraft Is Full of Eels before this discussion was paused, and a new thread about ZCE was started.
So just that you know if anyone want to fix it.

It's not much, but I've been chipping away at the Highlander character pages filling some out where I can.
Hillbilly Horrors is essentially nothing but zero context examples. If I were to comment them out, there would be maybe five examples left on the page, out of the twenty or thirty currently there.
My troper wallMaybe that one needs a thread in the short term projects forum to gather info?
I've already on my to-do list - I am sure Wikipedia's ridiculously detailed descriptions contain some useful material.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanHillbilly Horrors seems to be an index, and we don't normally require descriptions on indexes. See, for example, Science Fiction Literature, which could also technically be called full of Zero Context Examples.
Speaking words of fandom: let it squee, let it squee.Let's pause this thread for a while and see if we can build a better consensus on what should be done about ZCE's.

Goal: Clear, Concise and WittyAnd we're back.
Goal: Clear, Concise and WittyVACATION OVER, WAR ON!
Back to League Of Legends I go. Almost done, bunch of tropers have been providing context to what I've been commenting out.
"But don't give up hope. Everyone is cured sooner or later. In the end we shall shoot you." - O'Brien, 1984Nice.
I'm trying to do Characters.A Song Of Ice And Fire, but I'm still on the first subpage.
"If you aren't him, then you apparently got your brain from the same discount retailer, so..." - FighteerPurged a crapload of them on Space Wolf. Any 40k geeks able to help here? I'm very much a novice. I was able to clean some myself (I've read the first three books but it's been a while).

Alright, the League Of Legends character pages are done. I buried the ZCE, murdered any Thread Mode, and sent Example Indentation problems to a torture re-education center.
D'oh, I read the first books myself, but drawing a blank on most of that page.

My alignment is Chaotic Cute.Horrible Hollywood has a large number of them.
Zapped a bunch on a new page, Vampire Girl, in addition to moving it to the right namespace and cutlisting the original. I was able to fill one or two based on the page description.
Noble Male, Roguish Male. It's most obvious in Live Action TV examples, but actually most of them lack context.
Adorkable is currently in Trope Repair Shop. It's agreed that the biggest problem is Zero Context. I'd like to ask you to consider checking the page and its sub-pages. Please have a look at the entries and provide context if you are familiar with the work or the character.
There is probably going to be a massive clean-up or commenting out.

Battle Couple seems to have mostly Zero Context Examples.
Empathy Pet looks like it's entirely examples without context.
Anyone know about this band? Their page seems to have this bad, all but four of the the entries are just song titles, or saying "this person is this trope". It's also a but of a stub.

Talk to them over PM. If they are uncommenting large swaths of a page, ask a moderator to revert them in Ask The Tropers.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanUgh. Advertising is 90+% zero content/web links as examples.
My alignment is Chaotic Cute.
What's really going on here is that a baritone register sounds powerful and possibly even menacing, which gives the impression that a character is dangerous. Being "Rule of Cool personified" has nothing to do with it. What's actually tropeable is the expectation that someone who speaks in such a way is someone of masculine power (either acknowledged as such by the other characters, usually indirectly, or evidenced through actions)—or trying to give the impression as such. Having a lower register gives weight to their words.
And hey, surprise surprise—ok, not really—this lines up exactly with reasoning behind the male versions of Power Makes Your Voice Deep and Evil Sounds Deep without getting sidetracked on the subjective, Rule of Cool-based, overused "Badass X" meme.
I'm bad, and that's good. I will never be good, and that's not bad. There's no one I'd rather be than me.
