Destroyers like Murakumo have low "hard" stats (armor, firepower) in exchange for very high evasion stat that gets better as they level up. This is important in harder maps, where elite battleships one-shot your heavy ships and miss your destroyers entirely.

Caliborn manages to be this to Jack Noir #3, of all people, sending him gifts while in prison, only for one of them to drive him insane, and turn him into Union Jack, a being with a fraction of LE's strength, who is able to do nothing but follow his agenda and rampage.

Being part ice-elemental, Dia and Auric can't stand too much heat, being part earth elemental, D&A can't stand strong winds. Putting them in a hot or windy area will weaken their general ability to do stuff.
