- Ascended Meme: Marvel Heroes player Punchclops set out to build Cyclops's skillset without his trademark optic blast moves, using the "Trained Punch" move as his only damage power. The history of Punchclops was so popular in the Marvel Heroes community, its creator made a web comic called "The Adventures of Punchclops." The dev team ended up creating a completely new gear called "Legacy of Punchclops," with its main buff being the ability to add +12 to the current rank of "Trained Punch." The item's tooltip features a reference to one of The Adventures of Punchclops' running jokes: "Coming Soon: Punchclops vs. Wolverine!" One of the game's achievements, aptly called "Punchclops," involves defeating 500 enemies with "Trained Punch."
