- Persona: A group of high school students Ryu, Dan, Rolento, Zelda, Colonel, Li Long, Neo-Bat Nezire, Gracia Hughes, Shinobu Maehara, and Luciola as they are confronted by a series of supernatural incidents. After playing a fortune-telling game, the group each gain the ability to summon Personas, the multiple selves within them.
- Persona 2: Ryosuke Takahashi, and a group of friends Pino, Jiyu Nanohana, Kiba Inuzuka, Pegasolta Eclair, and Gracia Hughes must confront a villainous figure called Nasty Knight, who is causing the spread of reality-warping rumors through the city.
- Persona 3: Gaara goes back to High School and has to share a dorm with baseball fanatic Szayel Aporro Granz, popular but moody girl Junko Enoshima, aspiring boxer Zelgadis Graywords, and student council president Suigintou. Together, they fight The Heartless with mythological beings created from their minds while being sponsored by Medama-Oyaji. Later on they are joined by computer hacker Nina Fortner, elementary school student Yukito Tsukishiro, android Crona, a stray dog (Rudra in Reload) and loner Shizuka Doumeki. Trying stop them is a team lead by the misanthropic Guts, along with his second in command Vash and mysterious young girl Katalina whom Szayel takes a liking to. Later, Guts manages to kill Shizuka, and Medama-Oyaji reveals he was not only behind Guts and his group's powers, but that the main team's fighting was part of a plan to summon the embodiment of Death. Eventually, Gaara becomes friends with a mysterious young boy named Katsura who later grows up to be Kaworu Nagisa and is the vessel for the aforementioned embodiment of Death. Gaara is guided in his adventure by Jar Jar Binks (Paptimus Scirocco in Reload) and his Velvet Room assistant Cammy White.
- In FES, Crona's "sister" Homura Akemi joins the team.
- In Portable, you now have the option to play as Yoko Littner. In addition, Cammy can be replaced by her younger brother Archer, and Yoko can have social links with the team, and new characters such as a accomplice to the student committee, and sports team player Shinobu Kochu.
- In Reload, Gaara can interact with several Social Links including: student council member Illumi Zoldyick (originally Absalom), old couple Oolong and Ikuko Trukino (originally Dr. Gero and Isogai), elementary school student Phil (originally Chun-Li), French exchange student Hibiki Kohaku (originally Sun Quan), salesman Zack, monk Skinner (originally Master Roshi), dying young man Yusaku Kitamura (originally Koyomi Araragi), classmate Gajeel Redfox, track team member Ushio Gasai (originally Aoba), student council treasurer Elie MacDowell (originally Mimi Tachikawa), and an player in a MMO who is revealed to be Gaara's homeroom teacher Setsuna.
- Persona 4: Rock moves in with his uncle Professor Oak, who is a cop, and cousin Ryou Fujibayashi and, alongside Shikamaru Nara, quickly becomes tasked with solving a murder. Along the way, they are aided by L as a teddy bear, martial arts fangirl Yuki Cross, inn heiress Holo, an Ambiguously Gay Kyo Sohma, pop star Taiga Aisaka on support, and Kid Detective Edward Elric. Kotaro Yanagisawa is Oak's junior in the force and is the one behind the murders.
- Nadeko Sengoku becomes an important supporting character in Golden, who has ties to the True Final Boss.
- Persona 4: Arena: Shortly after the events of Persona 4, Rock, Shikamaru, Yuki, Holo, Kyo and Edward are once again drawn into the TV world, this time to discover the dark secret behind a fighting tournament. Taiga is now the color commentator, and L appears to be goading them on. Meanwhile, Suigintou and Zelgadis also enter the TV world in search of Crona's sister, a robot named Azusa Nakano who thinks she's human. In Ultimax, they also encounter the psychotic Anti, who has his own agenda during the tournament.
- Persona 5: Lelouch Lamperouge is put on probation and sent to Tokyo where mental blackouts have been intensifying, to live with a family friend, Alucard. After stumbling upon the Metaverse with the troublemaker Light Yagami, the mysterious Pikachu convinces both students to "steal" the hearts of wicked adults. They are joined by quarter-American Hinata Hyuuga, artist Chrom, student council president Mikoto Misaka, Alucard's hacker daughter Madoka Kaname, wealthy student Asuna Yuuki, and young detective Kira Yamato. The story is told mainly through flashback while Lelouch is being interrogated by public prosecutor Marida Cruz (who is Mikoto's older sister).
- Among the people who Lelouch can become acquainted with include twin wardens of the Velvet Room Rosa and Asmodeus, his homeroom teacher Miho Nishizumi, airsoft shop owner Sohei Dojima, classmate and forum owner Shinpachi Shimura, back-alley doctor Naotora Ii, journalist Cleo, fortune-teller Hisui (Shenhua Ling in Royal and The Animation), Shogi prodigy Aria Rozenburg, politician Tetsuya Tsurugi, and young gamer Chibitalia.
- In their adventure, Lelouch and his Phantom Thieves encounter several enemies such as perverted gym teacher Marty McFly, Chrom's unscrupulous art teacher Android 19, criminal gangster Keishin Ukai (Dario Bossi in The Animation and Royal), Asuna's corporate executive father James McCloud and powerful politician (and the man who got Lelouch put on probation) Char Aznable. Kira is Char's illegimate son who carried out the mental blackouts in the first place, while false god Gol D. Roger was behind Char's efforts in order to control humanity. As part of his plan, Roger locked away and pretended to be Jar Jar and split his new assistant Cinque into Rosa and Asmodeus.
- In Royal, they are now joined by the new Phantom Thief, Aqua. Also, Shujin Academy hires school counselor Huo Yan Li, who in the third semester attempts to complete the job Gol D. Roger started.
- Persona 5 Strikers: A few months after leaving Tokyo, Lelouch returns to take the rest of the crew on a trip of Japan, which is marred by cases of changing hearts across the country. They agree to help out police detective Nagare Namikawa in investigating these cases, and are assisted in the investigation by rogue artificial intelligence Poppi. This time instead of palace rulers, they have to deal with Monarchs of various cities, including idol and Shibuya monarch Chloe Chronicle, author and Sendai monarch Howard Link, mayor of Sapporo and its monarch Meryl Silverburgh, monarch of Kyoto and Nagare's daughter Hana Uzaki, and tech CEO and monarch of Osaka Soldier: 76. Along the way, they encounter and are helped out by researcher Juliet Starling who not only created Poppi, but is the one pulling the strings behind the scenes and is hoping to take over with her new A.I. creation, Queen Beryl.

Trying stop them is a team lead by the misanthropic Keitaro Urashima, along with his second in command Alex and a mysterious young girl whom Edward takes a liking to. Later, Keitaro manages to kill Warrior of Light, and Byakuya reveals he was not only behind Keitaro and his group's powers, but that the main team's fighting was part of a plan to summon the embodiment of Death. Eventually, Sasuke becomes friends with a mysterious young boy named Patroklos Alexander who later grows up to be the Prince of Persia and is the vessel for the aforementioned embodiment of Death. As part of his plan, Kaoru locked away and pretended to be Tsunomon and split his new assistant Casca into Satsuki and Mahiru.
- In Royal, they are now joined by the new Phantom Thief, Diana Cavendish. Also, Shujin Academy hires school counselor Ferdinand von Aegir. In a new bonus chapter, Kyubey temporarily turns into Inosuke Hashibira, which turns out to be one part of a plot by Ferdinand to complete Kaoru's master plan.
