Opening Arc AKA Vergil Arc

1. An Interesting Job: One day, at the Fairy Tail Guild Hall, Natsu and Happy are looking for a job to go on, but the current jobs either do not pay well or are boring/do not have something to do with fighting. One sly comment from Grey has him and Natsu immediately trying to fight each other until it is ended by Erza, all while Lucy, Wendy, and Carla watch this exchange and agree that no current job gives the right amount of experience or reward. Mira, however, reveals that she has saved the group a job that she feels is perfect for them: protect a town from an incoming invasion of demons for 10,000,000 jewels. While Lucy and Wendy are terrified at the prospect of fighting demons and Carla not wanting Wendy to fight said demons, Natsu, Grey, and Erza decide that they shall accept the job. Despite their fear, Lucy and, to Carla's expense, Wendy both decide to join in on the job. Meanwhile, in a shop called Devil May Cry, a certain, white-haired, half-demon named Dante is offered the same job which he accepts.
2. The Legend of Sparda: As he takes a stroll around town, Dante notices the members of Fairy Tail leaving a train, with Natsu, of course, suffering from motion sickness. Noticing their guild marks, Dante reduces that they are here for the demon invasion and continues his stroll, happy at the idea that things may get interesting. As the Fairy Tail members wait to meet their client at a park, Wendy wanders off and finds a statue dedicated to the Dark Knight Sparda. When the other Fairy Tail members find her, they wonder who or what exactly Sparda is. Carla reveals that Sparda is a demon who protected human kind from the forces of the Underworld, which she learned from an old scroll she had found during her time in Cait Shelter.
