A week after joining Fairy Tail, Dante becomes accustomed to the insanity from the guild. While the Son of Sparda is out on a job with Natsu, Happy, Gray and Lucy, an old partner of his drops by Fairy Tail looking for something.
- Big Brother Worship: Wendy clearly looks up to Natsu and Dante, to Carla's disapproval.
- Badass Normal: Lady makes her debut while carrying a heavy duty rocket launcher, and knocks Natsu back with a well time boot to the face.
- Bonding over Missing Parents: Dante learns about Natsu's search for Igneel and offers to help. In turn, the rest of the Strongest Team learn that his own father died some time ago.
- Butt-Monkey: Poor Lucy, starting the chapter with her friends, now plus Dante, breaking into her apartment, and being tricked into going on a job to fight dangerous monsters, atop a snowy mountain to boot.
- Everyone Has Standards: Even Dante finds Natsu's fight happy nature to be too much.
- Foreshadowing: Dante mentions his father met dragons before.
- He Is Not My Boyfriend: Lady's response to anyone questioning if this is her relationship with Dante, prompting a Spit Take when Mirajane asks, and angrily listing the mans flaws at Happy's usual teasing, intimidating the cat.
- Jerkass Has a Point: While Carla acknowledges Natsu's better traits, she disapproves of Wendy looking up to him since he is also reckless and destructive. She makes a similar appraisal of Dante, noting that he is keeping secrets that may bring trouble to their doorstep.
- Ms. Fanservice: Lady's entrance into the guild draws focus from many of the people present, the males especially noticing her legs.
- Mythology Gag:
- The mountain Hakobe job involving the herbs, wyvern and Vulcans is from Fairy Tail episode Rainbow Sakura.
- Lady's angry response about Dante's multiple flaws when Happy asks if she "liiiiiikes him" is lifted straight from the Devil May Cry animated series episode, Rolling Thunder.
- Only Sane Woman: Lucy is the only one on the job to be unsettled about the prospect of fighting monsters on a freezing mountain, complaining as her Blood Knight teammates eagerly fight the Vulcans and Wyvern.
- Perpetual Poverty: Defied. Dante's time at Fairy Tail gave him a steady supply of jobs and allowed him to finally work off his debt to Lady.
- Running Gag: Dante joins the others breaking in to Lucy's apartment, and agrees to keep doing it despite living in the apartment right next door.
- Spit Take: Lady's response when Mirajane asks if Dante is her boyfriend.
- Troll: Dante and Happy agree that seeing Lucy's reaction to them pissing her off is fun.
- Unusually Uninteresting Sight: Mirajane is completely nonplussed at the sight of Lady walking into the guildhall with a massive rocket launcher on her back, cheerfully asking what her business is.
