    Season 1

Shattered

  • The episode starts with Sonic arriving to help his friends battle Eggman. His friends then complain, "You're LATE!"
  • Sonic and Tails discover Rouge was in their house the whole time, with Sonic questioning how she got in. Without answering, Rouge continues to explain how she knows where Eggman is, his plan and wanting to help. Sonic finds all those information fascinating... but still can't get over the question how she got in. Did she use her skills as a master thief and treasure hunter to sneak past? Nope; Sonic and Tails just left the ''huge'' door open, so she walked right in.
  • After a grand speech, Eggman uses his mech to clear the path into the cavern containing the Paradox Prism, walks forwards... and immediately falls and lands on his face, since there's a massive drop that he was unaware of. Naturally, he takes his anger out on Orbot and Cubot.
Eggman: Why didn't you idiots tell me how big that first step was?!
    Orbot: Sorry, boss!
  • Sonic getting hit by a truck when he first arrives in New Yoke City, and his reaction beforehand.
  • Mr. Dr. Eggman wears a Dodgy Toupee, and apparently is fooling no-one In-Universe.
  • "Are you ignoring me? You're ignoring me—why are you ignoring me? Why is everyone ignoring me?!"
  • Upon meeting the Chaos Council for the first time, Sonic is so exasperated at the fact he's seeing five variants of Eggman and having so many questions that he asks if anybody has an aspirin.
  • Done-It can't tell what kind of animal Sonic is, repeatedly calling him everything but a hedgehog.
  • Rusty Rose then suggests running tests on Sonic to help the Chaos Council figure out how he exists, to which Sonic has a quip prepared.
Rusty Rose: May I suggest a series of grueling, life-endangering diagnostic tests?
Sonic: Not helping, Amy! You know I don't do well on tests!

The Yoke's On You

  • As Sonic is explaining the deal between him and Shadow to the viewers, this exchange occurs as Sonic is describing Shadow:
Sonic: He's also a real buzzkill. And by the way, he roller-skates!
Shadow: (looking to the viewer) They're Air Shoes.
    • Also, for Sonic's narration, he starts off by noting "So, I know what you're thinking: 'Sonic has a twin brother?'" as he's being clocked upside the head by Shadow.
      • This may also be a reference to how Sonic was repeatedly mistaken for Shadow in Sonic Adventure 2, despite the blatant physical differences between the two.
  • While Sonic's DNA is being analyzed, a few arrows followed by messages in the New Yoke script can be seen pointing to parts of it. The words translate to "gotta go fast."

Escape from New Yoke

  • Everyone is having a quite serious conversation about what their plan is now the Chaos Council is intent on attacking them, all the while casually ducking every now and again to avoid a laser beam that is moving erratically throughout the room. Even Rusty Rose isn't immune to this.
  • While Dr. Deep is going through the process of putting on his Powered Armor, he decides to finish the sequence by showing off his dance moves, complete with robot backup dancers. Mr. Dr. Eggman is not impressed.
Mr. Dr. Eggman: Deep, grow up! And your dance moves stink.
  • While running down the corridor, Deep realizes that the team's heading down the adjacent path leading to the Paradox Prism and quickly gets the attention of the robots. What follows is one group of robots smacking him against the wall, another doing the same from the opposite direction, and one last one smacking him in the back.

Unwelcome to the Jungle

  • When Sonic first lands in New Yoke City in "Shattered", he calls out to his friends:
Sonic: Tails? Amy? Heck, I'd even take Knuckles at this point!
    • Here, when he first lands in the Boscage Maze, he calls out to his New Yoke friends the same way:
Sonic: Nine? Rebel? Heck, I'd even take Knucks at this point!
  • The extremity to which the Maze's inhabitants have been driven.
Hangry/Big: (puppy eyes, awestruck) You mean we could have... two... berries?

Barking Up the Wrong Tree

It Takes One To No Place

  • Tasked with rowing Batten, Black Rose, Sails, and himself to the Angel's Voyage, Sonic does so at the speed of a roller-coaster. Sails and Black both still have a Thousand-Yard Stare afterwards, with the latter even hyperventilating.
Sonic: Everybody got seat belts on?
    Sails: Seat belts?
(Sonic makes a mad dash for the ship while the pirates Freak Out)
    Batten: Well, that was quick.

There's No Arrgh in "Team"

  • Upon her arrival in No Place shatterverse alongside her army of badniks, Rusty Rose declares her invasion in the name of the Chaos Council and attempts to find the captain of the ship so she could let him know about it, only for Batten to tell her that Sonic is the captain here.
Rusty Rose: Sonic is the captain? (Beat) I wish I were programmed to laugh.
  • When the crew of the Angel's Voyage shoot their cannons at Rusty Rose's ship, the cannonballs have no effect. However, Catfish loads his cannon with a sea dog (chili dog with some better-left-unasked-about ingredients), which splatters against the deck and makes it slippery enough that the badniks start slipping and knocking each other overboard. Seeing this, Dread orders for them to launch a barrage of sea dogs at the enemy.
  • After the pirates capture Rusty Rose and her ship, Batten notes how she and Black Rose look alike, to which Sails adds they should tie Rusty Rose up when she's already in handcuffs. Both Roses give off deadpan glares in response.

    Season 2

Avoid The Void

  • Initially, Sonic mistakenly assumes that the black hedgehog who's attacking him must be a Shatterspace variant of the real Shadow the Hedgehog, and tries to guess what the "variant's" name might be.
Sonic: Let me guess, you're "Grumpy Shadow"... although that would be redundant. "Shadow Who Needs A Shower!" "Sheriff Shadow of Floating Rock World!"
  • To mock Sonic, Shadow parrots his 'come at me, bro' taunt… in a monotone.
  • After narrowly rescuing Shadow from certain death in the Void, Sonic is very quick to announce how he'll get to lord it over him from now on.
Sonic: On the bright side, I'll get to hold this over you forever.

Battle in the Boscage

  • Nine smugly calling Dr. Don't an "egghead" while manipulating him into giving the fox into the Chaos Council's systems.
  • When Sonic shows up to greet the Boscage Maze gang, they panic and throw spears at him (again) before recognizing him. Meanwhile, Mangey's freaking out and either hiding behind or clinging to Hangry.
  • After Thorn leaves to smash some Eggforcers, Sonic tries to rally the other Scavengers into helping. Them being a tech-less culture, though...
Sonic: See that spaceship up there?
Hangry Cat: (Beat) What's a "spaceship"?
Sonic: Uh...the big...metal...tube-thing in the sky.
    Gnarly Knuckles: What's "metal"?
  • Nine talking to Sonic through a hacked Eggforcer.
  • Sonic's and Dr. Don't's grossed-out reactions to Birdy coughing up a Prism shard, which Sonic hesitates to grab before Thorn urges him on. Even then, Sonic can only express relief that he's always wearing gloves.
  • In the ending, Shadow, remarking that he can help Sonic get to another Prism shard faster... by spindashing into him straight to the gateway to No Place. And, just like before, he ends up making a soggy landing as the episode concludes.

Second Wind

No Way Out

  • While waiting for the mothership's engines to be fixed, Mr. Dr. Eggman tells its computer system to play an audio-book, only to order it off when he sees Nine is watching. In a humorous bit of irony, the computer has Shannon Chan-Kent's voice, suggesting Rusty Rose recorded its lines while in the Chaos Council's employ.
Mothership Computer: Playing "The Art of World Domination". Chapter 1: Posture matters.
  • While escaping Dread and the pirates with a Paradox Prism shard, Sonic gets spotted by Catfish, who hesitates to shoot. Suddenly, Froggy hops onto the cannon and starts firing!
  • Sonic attempts to teleport out of No Place. Unfortunately, his speed on water isn't quite sufficient to open a portal, resulting in Sonic accidentally contacting Shadow, who criticizes his self-narration and gives him Captain Obvious advice for dealing with the attackers.
Sonic: Not to mention having pirates blasting at you!
Shadow: Then go where they can't blast you.
  • Sonic assures Shadow he'll be a "blip on the horizon" before the pirates can catch up. Then he notices Rusty Rose's targeting reticle on him...
Shadow: What was that about a "blip"?
  • Dread shooting Dr. Deep down with a Sword Beam while the latter is showing off. Sonic, despite his own tenuous position, can't help but laugh.
  • After Sonic runs smack into the Chaos Council's mothership as it enters No Place, he sarcastically thanks Shadow for not warning him.
  • This bit as the Chaos Council, holding Sonic's allies hostage, demand he give up the shard:
Rusty Rose: Don't! I am expendable.
Batten: (indignantly) Well, I'm not! Give 'em the blasted rock!
    • As soon as Rusty finishes her sentence, she gets shocked by an Eggforcer, a fellow robot (or cyborg).
  • Dr. Deep getting double-teamed by the Roses is this and a Moment of Awesome.

A Madness To Their Methods

  • "BARBECUE THAT RODENT! ...For evil purposes only, mind you. I'm a strict vegetarian."
    • In other words: Dr. Deep defends himself from the accusation of eating animals by stating that he is merely trying to evilly murder them.
  • The Chaos Council's exchange after finding out Nine is secretly communicating with Sonic.
Dr. Don't: Turns out our many-tailed prisoner has been in communication with Sonic this whole time.
    Dr. Done-It: I knew it! That rat's a RAT!
Nine: [finally correcting them after many misnamings] I... am... A FOX!
Dr. Deep: I'm gonna turn you into a BATHROBE!

Double Trouble

  • Chaos Sonic's dialogue, messed up as it is.
Chaos Sonic: [gradually pushing Sonic towards the edge of a building] Ugh, I can't take it! You're just so tragic and smelly! Here. Let me help!
Sonic: [grunts] Please... [grunts again] stop talking.

Chaos Sonic: [destroyed] I-I-I- I'm- the- be-est! [gives a thumbs up]
    • Written as "[dying] I'm the best!" in Netflix's English Closed Captions.

  • Dread and Knucks dislike each other at first sight, while confusing Rebel with their interactions.
  • The absolutely deadpan reaction Sonic has when the Chaos Council burst in on him and Nine at the end.

Cracking Down

  • When Sonic and Nine are about to go through a portal the latter created, Sonic expresses that "Nothing can stop (them) now." Cue the Chaos Council shooting at them and throwing them off course, resulting in Nine telling Sonic to stop jinxing them.
    • Becomes a Brick Joke at the end when the two of the finally make it to Ghost Hill with Shadow, as when Sonic and Shadow leave Nine alone to fix the Prism...
Sonic (to Shadow): Hey, cheer up! We're so close to this all being over! Once Nine rebuilds the Paradox Prism, and Green Hill reforms, everything will finally be back to normal. We did it.
(Chaos Council Mothership appears and Shadow glares at Sonic)
Sonic (sheepishly): I may have spoken too soon.
  • Sonic and Nine encountering the pirates (whose ship is boxed in by skyscrapers, to Batten's annoyance) while passing through No Place:
Batten: Sonic! You be back! You've got your own boat!
    Nine: This isn't a boat!
Sails: Technically, anything that floats be a boat.
(Both foxes stop dead upon seeing each other)
Sonic: Actually, we're just passing through.
  • Dr. Don't is confused when he sees Batten priming the Angel's Voyage's cannons...and gets a nasty shock when the wooden ship starts shooting at his airship.
  • Rusty Rose and Black Rose's flabbergasted faces when they see their counterpart Thorn Rose in action. Whereas Rusty stays shocked, Black gets excited before the scene cuts away.
  • When Sonic and Nine meet up with Shadow in the void, Nine remarks on their likeness:
Nine: You're not another version of Sonic...but you could be twins!
Shadow: Hardly. I am the Ultimate Lifeform.
Sonic: (to Nine, in an unimpressed tone) Don't listen to him.

Ghost of a Chance

  • Dr. Don't's airship getting blown up by Dr. Deep's missiles, courtesy of Sonic? Awesome. Dr. Don't's reaction beforehand? Hilarious.
    • Even better, Deep had shoved Done-It out of the way of the controls while the former cockily calls himself a "master marksman" right before this. After Don't's ship goes down Deep can only grimace while Done-It shakes his head in disappointment.
Dr. Deep (sheepishly): You can have the controls back.
  • This exchange when Shadow saves Sonic during the battle:
Shadow: Probably going to regret that...
Sonic: I heart you too, Shadow.
  • Sonic arguing with his own after-images while supercharged with Paradox Prism energy. When he calls one after-image dumber than it looks for thinking the Chaos Council were just going to give up, the onlooking Shadow quips "Finally, a Sonic I can agree with".

    Season 3

Grim Tidings

Dome Sweet Dome

  • During Sonic and the Chaos Council's battle with the Grim Birdies, Sonic compliments one of Dr. Deep's moves, upon which he grins evilly and turns his sword on Sonic, only for Sonic to hastily remind him that they're currently on the same side.
    Dr. Deep: Old habits, heh.
  • Sonic grinning awkwardly while standing between the rebels and the Chaos Council as they glare at each other.
Dr. Deep: This is PREPOSTEROUS! Just having these things in our home is an affront to everything we hold dear!
Knucks: Know what, you keep talkin', Doc, and my fist will be affront to your face.
  • Mangey mischievously playing with a keypad like a cat. Just doing this improves the efficiency of the Chaos Council's machines.
  • Alpha Grim Birdie getting thrown against a window and falling off while Dr. Don't nonchalantly watches.

No Escape

Nine's Lives

  • Sonic suggests to Nine that they stop fighting and fix the Shatterverse together, so they can later "laugh about this over a couple chili dogs". Nine's response? "I hate chili dogs." Cue a shocked gasp from Sonic, complete with a dramatic orchestral sound effect.
  • Batten Rouge contradicting Rebel Rouge in front of Sonic.
Rebel: Doing the same is the least we can do.
Batten: (Pops up next to her counterpart) Actually, the least we can do would be nothing.
  • When Dr. Deep expresses his disapproval of Sonic nominating Rebel to lead their combined group, Mr. Dr. Eggman assures the former that the Chaos Council's time will come later and that the rebels should have their fun while they still can... only for Dr. Don't to tell Mr. Dr. Eggman that the latter is on speaker phone, leading to Mr. Dr. Eggman audibly trying to hang up as fast as he could.
  • Sonic's reaction upon first seeing Grim Big:
Sonic: Not Big! Anyone but Big! (Drops on all fours with a very whiny expression) HOW COULD YOU, NINE?!?!?!

Home Sick Home

  • When the Scavengers are trying to sneak past Grim Birdy:
Prim Rouge: We're gonna need to sneak past that thing if we want to cut off Nine from the Prism. Ideas?
Gnarly: I've got one! But I'll need four rocks, eighty feet of vine, and a time machine! (Prim gives him a bemused look)
  • After Sonic and Shadow take out a bunch of Grim bots, Sonic exuberantly holds up his hand for a teamwork high-five, only for Shadow to completely ignore it and start talking strategy. Sonic keeps holding his pose hopefully as Shadow talks, until finally sighing in disappointment and doing a self-high-five before focusing back on the fight.
  • "Everyone, this is Shadow. Shadow, meet...everyone, I guess."
    • Sonic hugging Shadow while saying that? Funny. The whole alliance's deadpan collective reaction? Priceless.
  • After Nine takes down their mothership, and as the fabric of reality decays all around them, what, of all things, do the Chaos Council (sans Mr. Dr. Eggman) mourn the loss of? Snacks and collectable items.
    Dr. Babble: (Unintelligible)
    Dr. Done-It: MY BUTTERSCOTCH CANDIES!
    Dr. Don't: MY VIDEO GAMES!
    Dr. Deep: MY ESSENTIAL OILS!

The Devil is in the Tails

  • Sonic pretending to fall to his death, then strolling up to Nine from behind (while still keeping up his "falling uncontrollably" scream) and going "Splat!".
  • When the Grim Big robot's weapons malfunction and Sails and Mangey desperately try to get them working again to fend of the incoming Grim Birdies, Mangey's method of doing so is smacking his head against the controls.
  • The "!" on Alpha Grim Sonic's visor as Shadow hurtles towards him.

From The Top

  • Dr. Deep sums up Shadow in one sentence: "Stand down, Edge Lord."
  • The whole sequence where the Chaos Council turn on each other over the Paradox Prism. Renegade Knucks even calls it eye-candy.
    • Rebel Rouge initially holds Shadow back to see how things will play out...until they start getting caught in the crossfire. It goes to show, any version of Rouge is bound to have a hard time keeping Shadow in check, one way or another.
    • Dr. Don't deciding to cut his losses after seeing Shadow knock Dr. Babble into the void.
Dr. Don't: Okay, that's it. I'm out! (Flees through the portal and goes back to playing video games)
  • This gem:
Sonic: (Gradually dissolving into oblivion) I never knew you were a hugger.
Shadow: Do you want me to save you or not?
  • Sonic's interactions with his frozen-in-time friends upon returning home, with special note to the one with Amy.
    • How does he avoid repeating his mistake in shattering the Prism? By jumping onto Eggman's mech and hugging its cockpit. The way Eggman exasperatedly one-two punches him away is also pretty funny.
  • Shadow showing up unannounced and swiping the Prism right out from under Eggman's nose? Awesome. The exchange that follows? Hilarious.
Eggman: You haven't heard the last of me, Sonic!
Sonic: (mocking Eggman's voice) "You will pay for this in ways you'd never imagine!" Yeah, yeah. I've heard it a million times, Eggy! Can't wait to make it a million-and-one.
  • Sonic's reaction at the end when the unseen new threat interrupts his attempt to explain his Shatterverse adventures and blows his fresh batch of (obviously Sea Dog-inspired) chili-dogs all over the beach.
