     Anguirus

Anguirus

The faithful Russian sidekick to Godzilla 2000.

  • Badass Normal: Less so than Gorosaurus, but he still counts due to having no real powers. His spikes, however, are fairly unusual.
  • The Brute: He tends to be this.
  • Composite Character: While he's not the first Anguirus, he still has his Millenium look and shares the history of all his film appearances but the first.
  • Dumb Muscle: He's not dumb, per say, but he is kind of dim.
  • Expy: His personality and voice is entirely cribbed from the Heavy.
  • Interspecies Romance: After the sixth arc, he has one with Nekku, an Aurorus.
  • Legacy Character: He's the second Anguirus, after the first one was killed off by Godzilla in Raids Again.
  • Make Me Wanna Shout: One of his powers is the sonic roar from the video games.
  • Mother Russia Makes You Strong: He's very proud of his Russian heritage. VERY.
  • Power Trio: This is more prominent in the sixth arc, as he makes up the muscle part with Godzilla and Rodan.
  • Spectacular Spinning: Another signature ability is that he can roll up into a spiked ball.
  • The Spiny: Just look at his back!
  • Those Two Guys: With Rodan, actually.
  • Undying Loyalty: To Godzilla, out of all the kaiju.

     Rodan

Rodan

One of the older members of the the island and one of Godzilla's closest confidants.

  • Beware the Nice Ones: Sure, he's pretty laid-back, but in battle, he is utterly merciless.
  • Blow You Away: His hurricane winds and sonic booms come into play.
  • Breath Weapon: His uranium beam.
  • Composite Character: He may be the Showa Rodan with the Millennium look and continued history. As for the Heisei incarnation, there was another Rodan that gave his life to help Godzilla's father and his powers were also transferred to the original Rodan. Confusing, right?
  • Died Happily Ever After: Averted. He survived despite planning on dying with his mate a long time ago.
  • Expy: His personality, voice, and even skills are cribbed from the Engineer.
  • Gadgeteer Genius: A new take on his character, in which he mostly works with Bamboo Technology to work out ways to escape the island.
    • Bungling Inventor: This doesn't always go well, even when given new resources on Egg Island. Sure, he was able to make the Rodan Van, but the bomb he made was a dud.
  • Giant Flyer: And a fast one, at that!
  • Heartbroken Badass: Sure, he's usually pretty calm, but he still is mourning his dead mate.
  • Interspecies Romance: Eventually, after the sixth arc, he's in a relationship with Quetzalcoatl.
  • Lightning Bruiser: His signature ability comes in his raw speed in the air, which can knock over most opponents.
    • Love at First Punch: After they came into blows after he accidentally stumbled onto her nest to boot.
  • Mad Scientist: Shows signs of this in the sixth arc, as he's pretty cavalier about possibly blowing up Egg Island just to take out Dogolas.
  • Power Trio: With Godzilla and Anguirus, as The Smart Guy.
  • Those Two Guys: With Anguirus.

     Gorosaurus

Gorosaurus

Usually the one keeping the most rowdy kaijus in line, especially Varan and Baragon.

  • Ascended Extra: Not usually the most talked about or interesting kaijus, but he does get a sort of mini-arc in the Legends of Kaiju arc.
  • Badass Normal: How so? He took out an empowered Razin with ONE. KANGAROO KICK.
  • Did You Just Punch Out Cthulhu?: Razin has just been empowered with the souls of the dead and your very friends are being absorbed. What do you do? Kangaroo kick the stomach of that bastard! And it works!
  • Dumb Dinos: His bio states that he may look the part of this, but he's anything but that.
  • I Just Want to Be Special: He feels really overshadowed by everyone else in terms of abilities and powers. However, he proves his mettle in the fifth arc at last.
  • Interspecies Romance: He has a huge crush on Manda, which only grows due to her supporting him when he's at his lowest. They become an Official Couple at the end of the fifth arc.
  • Jawbreaker: As in canon, he was at the receiving end by King Kong at one point.
  • Nice Guy: His own doubts about his self-worth aside, he's pretty jovial and laid-back.
  • Pals with Jesus: Since Manda is technically a goddess.
  • Team Dad: Especially in regards to Varan and Baragon.

     King Caesar

King Caesar

Not a resident of the island, but a frequent visitor.

  • Angry Guard Dog: Usually, he's this to the Azumi family, but it is shown that he can leave on his own in times of crisis.
  • Attack Reflector: His eyes can absorb beams and shoot them back at full force.
  • Bare-Fisted Monk: As in canon, his fists are as strong as Godzilla's atomic breath.
  • Beware the Nice Ones: In battle, he's an utter terror despite his calm and collected usual demeanor.
  • Cassandra Truth: Downplayed. He's the first to call out the Legendary Kaijus on their behavior and intentions, but he's brushed off by them and is frustrated to see everyone else going along for the ride. However, he is also curious to see how this will play out. Sure enough, everything falls apart...
  • Composite Character: He has his Millennium appearance, but all his character's history, Showa and all.
  • Cool Old Guy: There's a reason Godzilla calls him sensei.
  • Humble Hero: He admits that he's not too powerful or wise as some see him as.
  • King of Beasts: He is a rather large Shisha, a lion-like guardian.
  • Lightning Bruiser: Despite being a giant, he's quite quick on his feet.
  • Magical Asian: Has many traits, such as being the wisest of the kaiju and being quite ancient. However, he admits that he's not that wise and deep.

     Manda

Manda

Once the ruler of Mu, she now is a permanent resident of the island and one of the calmer inhabitants.

  • Anti-Villain: She was this when Mu was around. In fact, while she enjoyed the attention and worship, she was very uncomfortable with being used as their means of taking over the world.
  • Arch-Enemy: She broke off from being peaceful on Monster Island just so she could get another crack at defeating the Atragon during the start of the Final Wars. It ended badly, but she survived with a healthy hatred of the thing.
  • Composite Character: He has all her film appearances histories (barring her death in Final Wars), but keeps her Millennium look.
  • Grievous Harm with a Body: Her main form of attack involves constriction.
  • Heel–Face Turn: She was never a bad kaiju to begin with anyway.
  • Identical Stranger: Nearly this with Sue. Both of them notice this, but try to ignore it.
  • Interspecies Romance: By the end of Legends of Kaiju, she gladly reciprocates Gorosaurus' crush on her.
  • Kill It with Ice: She HATES the cold, as the Atragon/Gontengo can tell you.
  • Man on Fire: She can actually weaponize this if super-heated just right, turning her into a living snake-like being of fire.
  • Our Dragons Are Different: She's a Chinese-Dragon type of goddess.
  • Pals with Jesus: Gorosaurus with her. Turns into a Divine Date eventually.
  • Sea Monster: She's closer to this than a dragon.
  • She's a Man in Japan: This is one of those continuities where she is female.
  • Team Mom: Occasionally shares this role with Mothra and Gorosaurus' Team Dad tendencies.
  • Unexplained Recovery: She was shattered by the Atragon in Final Wars, so it can be assumed that their battle ended differently here, though she still lost.

     Varan

Varan

A frequent trouble-maker around the island.

  • Ascended Extra: After his film debut and cameo in Destroy All Monsters, he gets a prominent role here.
  • Breath Weapon: It's rumored he can shoot sonic waves from his mouth, in tandem with his Unleashed appearance.
  • Giant Flyer: Really, a glider, but this counts.
  • Red Oni, Blue Oni: The Blue Oni to Baragon's Red. He's much more rational and cautious than his partner.
  • Spared by the Adaptation: He survived the bombings to his mouth from the original film.
  • Spin Attack: Sharing this ability from his game appearances, he can roll up into a ball and hit people with his spikes.
  • The Spiny: It's stated that those spikes of his are sharp enough to pierce through most hides.
  • Those Two Guys: With Baragon.

     Baragon

Baragon

Varan's best friend and usually the one to start the trouble they get themselves into.

     Ebirah

Ebirah

A very grumpy lobster mutation that likes to keep to himself in the waters of the island.

  • Adaptational Heroism: Barely, if any, incarnation of the franchise casts him as a somebody to help out Big G. Granted, he's not exactly pleasant here.
  • An Arm and a Leg: He lost his arm to Godzilla's father a long time ago.
  • Angry Guard Dog: He was once this to the Red Bamboo and he hated every moment of it, due to him seeing them as weak.
  • Composite Character: He's both the Showa and Millennium versions due to going through all that havoc (and surviving being hit with atomic breath), but he keeps his Millennium look.
  • Giant Enemy Crab: Well, a lobster here.
  • Grumpy Old Man: Acts like this a lot.
  • Heel–Face Turn: Since his time with the Red Bamboo and Xiliens, anyway. Not that he asked to be part of any side to begin with.
  • Inferiority Superiority Complex: It's stated that, due to his status as a D-List kaiju, he's rather angry at everything and frequently puts others down.
  • Screw Politeness, I'm a Senior!: Much to everyone's ire.
  • The Social Darwinist: His beef with the Red Bamboo? They were weak. Oh, and they used him.
  • Spared by the Adaptation: Being blasted by Godzilla's atomic breath in Final Wars wasn't enough to keep him down. Possibly, Hedorah took the brunt of it all.
  • Token Evil Teammate: Out of all the Monster Island residents, he's the most antagonistic, yet he still comes along to help.
  • Turned Against Their Masters: Despite having mutated him into what he is, he wasted no time turning on them when the chemicals that kept him at bay were removed.

     Minya

Minya

Godzilla's dullard adoptive son.

     Fairy Mothra

Fairy Mothra

Mothra's beloved daughter.

     Kiryu

Kiryu

An enforcer that makes sure the kaijus stay on Monster Island. He has been rebuilt with the interests of serving Japamerica...yeah, he's a bit crazy in that way.

  • An Ice Person: His most powerful move is the Absolute Zero Cannon.
  • Berserk Button: Operation Overdrive, for starters. And then there's showing him anything remotely resembling the Oxygen Destroyer.
  • Big Damn Heroes: He pulls this one Godzilla and Balkzardan for the sake of Japan when they appear on the mainland.
    • He does it again when he's rebuilt by Kitsune in Babylon Gardens, where he stops Destiny long enough for her to be taken out by Godzilla and Mothra.
  • Breath Weapon: The masers in his mouth are rather effective.
  • Bunny-Ears Lawyer: He can be a bit silly when it comes to defending...ahem...Japamerica.
  • Cool Sword: His electric blade is nothing to scoff at. Against Zach, this proved useful.
  • Cyborg
  • Eagle Land: Due to being rebuilt in a joint operation between Japan and the U.S, he's very convinced that there is such thing as a Japamerica and that he has to defend it.
  • Expy: Down to the theme and even the Flash Kick move, he's a stand-in for Guile.
  • Glass Cannon: Eventually, this shows in his battle with Zach, as when the other kaiju gains the other hand, he's taken apart.
  • Haunted Technology: The original 154 Godzilla resides in him, still speaking and a good influence on his berserk state.
  • Hero Antagonist: He's this in the first part of the fifth arc, going up against Godzilla and Balkzardan when they arrive at Japan.
  • Humongous Mecha
  • Lightning Bruiser: With the use of his jet thrusters and such, he can be this.
  • Macross Missile Massacre: He does this quite a bit.
  • Robot Me: This to Godzilla.
  • Sealed Inside a Person-Shaped Can: The spirit of the original 1954 Godzilla resides in him, thanks to his bones being used to make the machine (?!). He's still quite wrathful after all this time.
