The Protagonist of the story, a bullied high school student who gained the powers to become popular with "bad girls"
  • All-Loving Hero: He's a Nice Guy who tries his best to reform and befriend even the worst of delinquents, and never does anything out of malice.
  • Always Save the Girl: He has a soft spot for girls, even the "bad girls" that he tends to attract, and tries his best not help them or avoid them getting in danger.
  • Bully Magnet: His physique and wallflower personality automatically attracts bullies and delinquents to him.
  • Chick Magnet: He became this after messing around with his ancestor's exorcism scroll. Since it only works on female delinquents, he's got all kinds of bad girls after him.
  • Determinator: His most admirable trait is his determination, and how he's unwilling to give up even when the odds are against him.
  • Geek Physiques: He's a geek with a small, slender frame.
  • Morality Chain: His high moral values are what cause several characters to want to reform and change their ways.
  • Non-Action Guy: For awhile, Rokudou wasn't much of a fighter. Though he does finally start fighting on his own terms after learning how to use martial arts.
  • Ordinary High-School Student: He was just an ordinary student in a school filled with Japanese Delinquents. Then he becomes enchanted with a magic scroll that makes "bad girls" like him, which gets him involved in several delinquent-related shenanigans.
  • Took a Level in Badass: Compared to the weak normal boy he started off as, Rokudou becomes a lot stronger and more confident throughout the series.
  • Unwanted Harem: He does not like how the scroll magic can make crowds of bad girls go after him, as his very aware of the Questionable Consent aspect of the scroll's magic.

    Ranna Himawari
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/himawari_ranna.png
Voiced by: Sumire Uesaka
The main heroine of the story. A mysterious and violent sukeban who falls in love with Rokudou after being affected by the scroll's magic.
  • Action Girl: She's the star heroine of the show and the most proficient fighter in the cast.
  • Bare Midriffs Are Feminine: Wears a feminine sukeban outfit that leaves her midriff bared.
  • Buxom Beauty Standard: She has a sizable bust, which gets her quite a few compliments from the other girls, and Minami is immensely jealous of.
  • Clingy Jealous Girl: Of doesn't like seeing other girls paying attention to Rokudou.
  • Defrosting Ice Queen: She starts the series being emotionless about almost everything save for Rokudou, and she only has feelings for Rokudou due to the scroll's magic. As the story progresses, she slowly starts caring more about other people, including interacting more with Rokudou's circle of friends, instead of just ignoring them.
  • The Dreaded: In the delinquent world, everyone is scared of Ranna since they all know how much of a powerful monster she is. Her introduction shows her off taking out a whole gang of delinquents by herself.
  • Enfant Terrible: Ranna was this growing up. Even at just a couple of years old, she was already beating up delinquents. Her foster parents believe that she was born evil.
  • Even the Girls Want Her: When all the girls bathe together in the hot springs, the sign of Ranna standing out of the water causes all the other girls to stare in awe of her "perfect body".
  • The Friend Nobody Likes: At first, nobody liked hanging around her since she would basically ignore everyone that wasn't Rokudous. Eventually, she starts putting some effort in getting to know them and they in turn before more invested in "rehabilitating" her.
  • Indifferent Beauty: She has an attractive appearance and a curvaceous body, with Tsubaki often claiming she could easily be a model, but Ranna doesn't care about it in the slightest... until Tsubaki whispers to her one day that Rukodou likely values that a lot.
  • Muscles Are Meaningless: She's extremely strong, but her frame is slender and not that muscular.
  • One-Woman Army: It's eventually revealed that she took down the original Onishima Alliance by herself. Douji, a survivor of that fight and the one who rebuilt the Onishima Alliance larger and stronger than before, still shakes in terror at her presence.
  • The Quiet One: Especially early on in the series, she would barely speak, and the times she did it was only to Rokudou asking her something.
  • Statuesque Stunner: She's very tall for a girl her age, and very beautiful, towering over her Love Interest Rokudou.
  • The Stoic: She almost always has a blank or stoic expression. The only times she's Not So Stoic are when she gets angry or when Rokudou is around her.
  • Story-Breaker Power: Ranna is such a monstrously powerful delinquent that the author tends to come up with excuses to not have her play a part within the Story Arc until certain points. This is usually done by having her elsewhere while Rokudou and friends are dealing with whatever the current problem is, or because Rokudou himself convinces her in some way to not get involved since it's his goal to eventually transform her into a good person, and not see her get hurt anymore.
  • Super-Strength: She shows extremely implausible feats of strength, including being able to break walls and concrete with her bare hands.
  • Violently Protective Girlfriend: It is usually a terrible idea to harm or threaten Rokudou in front of her.
  • Wooden Katanas Are Even Better: Her signature weapon is a wooden katana gifted to her by Otohime. She's able with strength that would have broken any normal wooden katana, but it somehow endures.
  • Your Costume Needs Work: She's introduced being heckled by other delinquents as a "retro sukeban" thanks to her long bleached blonde hair and even longer skirt. The poor fools have no idea how Old Testament she really is.

Rokudou's Friends

    Colonel

Masaru "Colonel" Hinomoto

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/hinomoto_masaru.png
Voiced by: Daisuke Namikawa
One of Rokudou's best friends and classmates.
  • Fat and Skinny: He's the skinny nerd stereotype in contrast to Manager's fat nerd stereotype. Iinuma even recognizes them as such when he sees them both shirtless.
  • Geek Physiques: He's a weak geek with an almost sickly thin physique.
  • Fanboy: Has a clear love for all things military, often including military jargon in his dialogue, such as referring to giving Rokoudo food as a "supply drop".
  • In-Series Nickname: He's called "Colonel" by most of his friends.
  • Signature Headgear: He's always wearing a green military beret, even when going to school.
  • The Smart Guy: He often comes up with plans or tactics for Rokudou and later the rest of the team.
  • Those Two Guys: He and Manager are almost always seen together, working as a duo.

    Manager

Kouta "Manager" Kijima

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/kijima_kota.png
Voiced by: Akira Ishida
One of Rokudou's best friends and classmates.
  • Cowardly Lion: He often gets scared, but that doesn't stop him from trying to support his friends, and he managed to find the courage to go against some extremely dangerous delinquents, despite knowing he has little chance.
  • Cowardly Sidekick: He often reacts to situations far more cowardly than his friends, in order to make Rokudous's growing bravery to stand out more.
  • Geek Physiques: He's a weak geek with a round and overweight physique.
  • Fat and Skinny: He's the fat nerd stereotype in contrast to Colonel's skinny nerd stereotype. Iinuma even recognizes them as such when he sees them both shirtless.
  • In-Series Nickname: He's called "Kachou" ("Manager" when translated) by most of his friends.
  • Teeny Weenie: Iinuma notices he's "the size of an acorn" when they bathe together. Iinuma feels so sorry for he can't even bring himself to make fun of him for it.
  • Those Two Guys: He and Colonel are almost always seen together, working as a duo.

    Haruya Iinuma
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/iinuma_haruya.png
Voiced by: Haruki Ishiya
Rokudou's classmates and Bully Turned Buddy.
  • The Alleged Car: A Running Gag is that he loves bikes with impossibly impractical and tacky designs. At first, Colonel assumes it's a Japanese Delinquents thing, but Tsubaki confirms Iinuma just has terrible taste when it comes to bikes.
  • Beta Couple: He and Tsubaki are the manga's secondary couple.
  • Bully Turned Buddy: He was The Bully at the start of the story and used to regularly torment Rokudou and his friends, but after confronting him on the rooftop and recognizing his true strength despite being physically stronger than him (along with getting knocked out by Ranna), he gains a newfound respect for him and ends up joining his friend group.
  • Defeat Means Friendship: He was the Starter Villain of the series and joins the main cast after his defeat and becomes their friend.
  • Delinquent Hair: His spiky, half-dyed hair is a clear tell of his Japanese Delinquents aesthetic.
  • Heroic Build: True to his strength, he has quite the muscular physique that one would expect out of a shonen protagonist.
  • Hidden Depths: It's later expanded that the reason for him joining Rokudou's circle of friends is because he identified that while they were weak they were True Companions who remained loyal to each other no matter what, in contrast to many of the shallow friendships Iinuma has experienced with "tougher" guys, who betrayed or abandoned him at the first sign of trouble.
  • The Lancer: After he joins the main cast, he often plays a secondary role to Rokudou, and throws his support to him no matter what.
  • Starter Villain: He's the first antagonist of the story, being the classmate that acts as The Bully to Rokudou and his friends.
  • Took a Level in Kindness: He was The Bully at the start of the story, but became a much nicer guy to pretty much everyone after the initial arc.

    Tsubaki
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/tsubaki_9.png
Voiced by: Misato Matsuoka
Rokudou's classmate and Iinuma's girlfriend.
  • Beta Couple: She and Iinuma are the manga's secondary couple.
  • Bully Turned Buddy: She used to tease Rokudou alongside her boyfriend, but the spell compels her to become kinder toward him, and further events causes her to become one of Rokudou's allies.
  • Fiery Redhead: She's a redhead with an outspoken and fiery personality.
  • Girly Girl: She's the girliest character in the main cast, having only typical feminine interests, little tomboy traits, and no fighting abilities.
  • Gyaru Girl: She enjoys wearing trendy clothing and make-up, and is almost always wearing a short skirt and hair decorations.
  • Fanservice Model: She works as a gravure model for a magazine, and is often trying to convince Ranna to join her.
  • The Fashionista: Being a model, she's the one that cares the most about fashion and is often helping the other girls with picking outfits, especially the clueless Ranna.
  • Leg Focus: Her legs are said to be her best feature, with her catching the boys ogling her thighs in the very first scene. She's almost always wearing short skirts that show them off.
  • The Not-Love Interest: Despite also being affected by Rokudou's spell, it's mostly limited to her becoming much more friendly and protective toward him and she's still firmly Iinuma's girlfriend.
  • Only One Name: Tsubaki is the only name she's ever given.
  • Shipper on Deck: She's a Rokudou x Ranna shipper and often teases or gives advice to Ranna about how to get his attention. Ranna usually ignores it.
  • Signature Headgear: She always has two heart-shaped decorations on her head, with one being upside down.
  • Took a Level in Kindness: At the start, she eagerly supported and encouraged Iinuma's bullying of Rokudou and his friends. After she got hit by the scroll spell she began to act nicer to Rokudou, but soon enough she also became friends with Colonel and Manager, who the spell didn't affect at all.

    Sayuri Osanada
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/osanada_sayuri.png
Voiced by: Naomi Ozora
The boss/banchou of Amori High whom Rokudou befriended.
  • Badass Adorable: She's cute as a button on the outside, but there's a reason she's the leader of the delinquents of Amori High.
  • Big Little Man: The first time we see her she's a huge cloaked figure, which is later revealed to just have been her riding on the shoulders of one of her Mooks.
  • Dumb Muscle: Despite her being built up as the "boss" of Amori High, it becomes clear she's not the brains of the operation and Kurokata was basically running the show while she was the muscle.
  • Girlish Pigtails: Her hair is styled in pigtails, fitting her girlish
  • I Want My Beloved to Be Happy: The scroll's magic causes her to fall in love with Rokudou, but she gives up on that crush since she thinks he has feelings for Ranna.
  • Older Than They Look: She's supposedly 18, but looks like a little kid.
  • Muscles Are Meaningless: She's a tiny girl with no muscles, but has super-level strength.
  • Pint-Sized Powerhouse: Osanada is tiny for her age but strong enough to have become Amori's bancho.
  • Supporting Leader: She's technically the "boss" of Amori High, but plays a supporting role to Rokudou.
  • Super-Strength: She's comically strong, to the point she can easily lift Ranna in the air with such force that she breaks the ceiling
  • Token Mini-Moe: While she's supposedly older than most the cast, she looks and acts like a little kid.
  • Womanchild: She often acts more like a grade-schooler than a high school senior.

    Azami Himeno
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/himeno_azami.png
Voiced by: Yuki Yomichi
A rich biker from another school whom Rokudou befriended.
  • Badass Biker: First introduced on a motorbike, and rides one everywhere. She is shown to be extremely skilled at riding it, to the point she takes over a biker gang after beating their boss on a race.
  • Berserk Button: Delinquents on motorcycles and their tacky bikes. Likewise, don't ever call her a "biker".
  • Beta Couple: Becomes a couple with Aoi later in the story.
  • Birds of a Feather: She and Aoi end up bonding and becoming a couple due to their similarities, being Thrill Seeker & Badass Bikers.
  • Cool Bike: Owns a few, including a Honda Interceptor with a white police paintjob (the first one we see her ride) and a blue one with sidecar.
  • Drives Like Crazy: Thanks to being a Thrill Seeker, she tends to take... risks when driving. It's a Running Gag that the other character are terrified of getting driven by her.
  • Princess Phase: She often imagines herself as a princess that should be taken by a prince on his white horse. In this case, the "prince and his horse" is a policeman on his white motorcycle.
  • Thrill Seeker: Part of the reason she enjoys riding bikes so much is that she enjoys the freedom and thrill that comes with driving at high speeds.
  • Vigilante Man: The main reason she's a "bad girl" is her habit of chasing and harassing anybody she thinks is violating traffic laws.
  • You Are What You Hate: She loathes biker delinquents... And is completely oblivious to the fact she's one herself, riding one she's too young to be legally able to do so in her very first scene.

    Minami Yamabuki

  • A-Cup Angst: She's very self-conscious abut how much she's outclassed by Ranna in the chest size department.
  • Creepy Loner Girl: She's a sinister, antisocial loan shark who always dresses in a gloomy overcoat and carries a black umbrella everywhere. Due to being anemic, she spends most of her time hanging upside down like a bat, to allow blood flow to her brain. She's incredibly stingy to the point that her apartment has no electricity or running water, and only eats discounted supermarket lunchboxes despite the fact she's loaded. She's also so painfully socially awkward (when she's not extorting people, that is) that she has trouble making payments at a grocery store.
  • Cute Little Fangs: Has two tiny fangs in her upper mouth, which helps compliment her "cute" aesthetic.
  • Despair Event Horizon: She ends up in this state when it's shown that Jin took all the money her gang worked for. However, she quickly gets out of it when Rokudou and his friends decide to help Minami solve the problem.

    Ling Lan

  • All Chinese People Know Kung-Fu: She's the only Anime Chinese Girl of the story and unsurprisingly is a master of kung-fu.
  • Anime Chinese Girl: A subversion of the usual cute Chinese girl archetype. While she looks cute at first, it's only because her true personality is being suppressed, as her "delinquent" persona is far more aggressive as well as becoming Hotter and Sexier.
  • Kick Chick: Her fighting style mostly revolves around kicks.
  • Leg Focus: Her outfits often have a slit to show off her legs, and they get plenty of Male Gaze.
  • Martial Arts and Crafts: Ling Lan shows that her kung fu skills can be used this way, such as when she did the laundry.
  • The Mentor: Later in the story she becomes Rokudou's kung-fu mentor.
  • Tsundere: Her delinquent side of acts like this when around Rokudou. One moment, Ling Lan acts like she won't teach Rokudou how to do martial arts. The next moment, she's showing off moves ready to teach him.

    Sachiyo Sakura

  • Combat Clairvoyance: Sachiyo is a decent fighter and by looking into the eyes of another person she can see their future, both immediate situations and ones some time in the future. Using her skills, she is able to avoid and defeat Ling Lan's attacks and win against her. When she tries the same against Ranna, however, she can maybe avoid one or two attacks, but Ranna is too strong and Sachiyo forsees there is no future where she can win against her.
  • Happily Adopted: Despite having just been abandoned by her family when she was little, Sachiyo immediately and happily latches onto Sachiko as her mother. Sachiko, while at first adopting her purely to take advantage of her psychic powers and advance her criminal empire, eventually grows to genuinely see her as a beloved daughter.
  • You Are Worth Hell: At the end of her arc, Sachiyo realizes by a vision of the future while she could be safe from the repercussions of her involvement with her mother's illegal dealings, she will never be happy. So, as her mother is being taken away, even as her mother yells at her that she isn't involved, Sachiyo remains committed to joining her mother in atoning for their crimes in prison.

Other Amori High Students

    Mizue Tsuyukusa
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/tsuyukusa_mizue.png
Voiced by: Hitomi Sekine
The class representative of Rokudou's class.
  • Butt-Monkey: She tries to be a good class representative, but her efforts are often comically ignored by most of her classmates, much to her dismay.
  • Nice Girl: She tries her best to be nice and kind to everyone, even knowing she's in a school filled with delinquents who don't care.
  • Only Sane Woman: She takes the role of the only normal female student at the delinquent-filled Amori High and is often weirded out by the outlandish events that happen at school. She ends up developing a crush on Rokudou believing that he's the only normal boy at Amori.
  • Single Woman Seeks Good Man: She has something of a crush on Rokudou due to him being one of the few kind boys in their school, and she becomes distressed when she finds hanging out more and more with delinquents.

    Takeru Takeyama
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/takeru_takeyama.png
Voiced by: Tomohiro Oomachi
Iinuma's friend and classmate.
  • Demoted to Extra: The start of the story depicts him as being a core member of Iinuma's clique, but after Iinuma befriends Rokudou, he barely interacts with Iinuma anymore and is just rarely seen in the background alongside other students.
  • The Generic Guy: He doesn't develop enough of a personality other than being a typical, Japanese Delinquents stereotype.
  • Worf Effect: At the start of the story, Ranna takes him out in a single blow which lands in a hospital, showing the audience just how freakingly strong she is.

    Kurokata
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/kurokata.png
Voiced by: Makoto Furukawa
Osanada's second-in-command early in the story.
  • The Dragon: Acted as Osanada's second-in-command back when she acted as a more villainous figure in Amori High.
  • Dragon with an Agenda: He acts as Osanada's second-in-command, but is secretly manipulating her, using her freak strength and simple mind to get ahead in the criminal world, with no regard for her true wishes. He comes to regret it in the end, and performs a Heroic Sacrifice to help her out.
  • False Friend: He was this towards Osanada since the whole point of his backstory was to befriend Osanada after witnessing her strength, and use her to make a powerful gang. Only at the very end did he realize he actually ended up liking her, causing her to perform a Heroic Sacrifice for her sake.
  • Heroic Sacrifice: Allows himself to get caught and beaten up by an Onishima Alliance rally in order to let Osanada escape them.
  • Toxic Friend Influence: His toxic influence is what caused Osanada to be such an aggressive boss early in the story, as he was constantly pushing her into becoming a bigger criminal, and almost convinced her to drop out of school.

Onishima Alliance

    Douji Matsugamiya
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/matsugamiya_doji.png
Voiced by: Daiki Yamashita
The leader of the new Onishima Alliance.
  • Arc Villain: He's the main antagonist of the Onishima Alliance, attempting to manipulate Ranna into joining him.
  • Bad Boss: He uses his brains to manipulate his underlings and encourage their worst traits, so they can better serve him.
  • Bitch in Sheep's Clothing: He pretends to be a friend to Rokudou and his friends at first, but it was all part of a scheme to turn Amori High against Rokudou and recruit Ranna to the Onishima Alliance.
  • From Nobody to Nightmare: Douji was once a low-ranking member of the original Onishima Alliance. Then the Alliance disbanded after being beaten up by Ranna, and after recovering from the wounds he went and rebuilt it stronger than before.
  • Genius Bruiser: While he mostly uses his intelligence and relies on his lieutenants to do the heavy lifting, he's actually a pretty capable fighter, though nowhere near the level of Ranna or Yashiya.
  • The Leader: He rebuilt the Onishima Alliance from the ground up and become it's new leader after it was destroyed by Ranna.
  • Manipulative Bastard: He's very good at manipulating people, since he's an excellent judge of character and can recognize what he needs to give them in order for them to do what he wants them to.
  • Mirror Character: Matsugamiya Douji's past shows that he actually started off like Rokudou as a weak boy who hid in the bathroom stall from delinquent bullies. However, Douji's path went a route where he realized that he could befriend delinquents as long as he gave them what they desired, such as money and girls. If he didn't, the delinquents would turn on him, and Douji would have to find a way to win over a stronger delinquent until it reached the point that he helped a powerful delinquent create the original Onishima Alliance.
  • Red Eyes, Take Warning: His eyes literally turn red whenever he's being more evil and sinister than usual.
  • Villain in a White Suit: He wears a white suit when he's acting as the leader of the Onishima Alliance.

    Yui Yashiya
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/yashiya_yui.png
Voiced by: Mayuko Kazama
The Onishima Alliance 1st ranked enforcer.
  • All Amazons Want Hercules: She's Dark Action Girl who's only attracted to strong men, and has explicitly become a gangster just to try a find a man who's stronger than her.
  • Awesomeness by Analysis: How Yashiya tends to fight. She gets down the feel of the fight with some initial attacks, and once she understands how her opponent fights, she goes all-out knowing exactly how to beat down her opponent. This works against her in her first fight against Rokudo since the scroll's magic makes her imagine he's far more dangerous than he actually is, making her overthink things (and also get Distracted by the Sexy).
  • Bare Midriffs Are Feminine: She's the most conveniently feminine gangster in the Onishima Alliance, and her outfit is designed to leave her midriff exposed.
  • Best Her to Bed Her: While she has many suitors, she only considers a man worthy of her affections if he's able to match her in combat. The Rokudou scroll's magic actually made her believe he was a Worthy Opponent to her
  • Big-Breast Pride: She's very aware of the effect her large breasts have on men, as attempts to flaunt them when trying to seduce Rokudou. She even gets him into Marshmallow Hell during their fight.
  • Buxom Beauty Standard: Has one of the biggest busts in the cast and wears cleavage-revealing clothing that shows them off, and her chest is often the target of Male Gaze shots. The students of Amori High are drooling at her, mostly due to this.
  • Combat Sadomasochist: She gets a sexual thrill from fighting men who are stronger than her. During her first "fight" with Rokudous she manages to defeat herself by becoming so overwhelmed by her lust that she passes out.
  • Dark Action Girl: She's a villainess who's extremely proficient at combat, built up as the equivalent of Ranna.
  • Dressed Like a Dominatrix: Under her school clothes, she wears the classic Dominatrix outfit compromised of black leather corset, high heel boots, collars and a whip.
  • Dominatrix: She specifically enjoys beating up strong men and stripping them out of their confidence and dignity. She even dressed up in BDSM outfits and fights with a whip.
  • Dragon with an Agenda: A comical example. Despite being ranked 1st at Onishima Alliance and being their strongest enforcer, she doesn't really care for it or Douji's goals and is explicitly there just so she can meet strong men. But Douji is aware of this, and just tries to make use of her as much as he can. Notably, she nonchalantly quits the team after the Onishima Alliance arc, since she already found her "perfect man" and doesn't need them anymore.
  • Dude Magnet: She has most of the guys in Amori High openly lusting after her and is often seen surrounded by guys trying to ask her out.
  • Female Misogynist: She claims to greatly dislike "strong women", but given how willing she was to beat up Tsubaki, she seems to dislike normal girl plenty too.
  • Fiery Redhead: Played With. She's a redhead but is usually calm and analytical. But when she becomes invested, she becomes extremely Hot-Blooded and passionate.
  • Kick Chick: When not wielding her whip, she mostly fights using kicks.
  • Ms. Fanservice: She's the most overtly sexual character in the series, having a curvacious figure that gets plenty of Male Gaze shots, wearing very revealing clothes and being a Dominatrix with an aggressively sexual personality.
  • Sadist: While she wants a strong man as her ideal lover, she also finds the idea of breaking them even more enticing, thus her Dominatrix act.
  • Whip of Dominance: She's a delinquent dominatrix who specializes in fighting with a whip, and is a major Combat Sadomasochist who gets a clear sexual thrill at repeatedly lashing "strong men".
  • Worf Had the Flu: She's supposedly the strongest fighter in the Onishima Alliance, but gets defeated the easiest due to being under the scroll's spell, as she gets so turned on while "fighting" Rokudou that she comically launches herself off the window. Douji is particularly baffled at how Rokudou managed to get past her. When she returns for the Chromosome arc, she shows she is actually a fearsome fighter.

    Kouhei Akai
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/kouhei_akai.png
Voiced by: Shinya Takahashi
The Onishima Alliance 2nd ranked enforcer.
  • Cool Shades: He's always wearing the same pair of shades to complement his punk delinquent aesthetic and cool persona. The only time he's seen without them is when Iinuma breaks them by punching him in the face.
  • Crouching Moron, Hidden Badass: He specifically plays up being an egomaniac dumbass, but is actually quite clever and ruthless.
  • Delinquent Hair: Has bright red spiky hair that is shaved on both sides, giving him an obvious delinquent look.
  • The Dragon: While he's technically lower ranked than Yashiya (being the Alliance's 2nd) he acts as Douji's second-in-command, as he's the one invested and smart enough to discuss and contribute to Douji's schemes.
  • Jerkass: One of the most overly cruel members of the Onishima Alliance, enjoying taunting others and kicking them while they're down, as shown in the flashbacks when he forced Iinuma's old gang to betray and beat him up, or when he tortures Manager by breaking his fingers.
  • The Rival: He has a rivalry with Iinuma due to having been the one to destroy Iinuma's gang a few years prior, forcing them to betray Iinuma and beat him, or else Akai would for after their families.
  • Weak, but Skilled: He's not that physically strong, but is a skilled and ruthless fighter who's able to give the stronger Iinuma a run for his money. The only way Iinuma is able to beat him is by employing Confusion Fu.

    Aoi Furukawa
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/furukawa_aoi.png
Voiced by: Hiroki Nanami
The Onishima Alliance 3rd ranked enforcer and leader of their motorcycle gang.
  • Arc Villain: He's the primary antagonist for Azami's introductory arc.
  • Badass Biker: He's an extremely skilled bike driver, able to perform extreme, high-risk tricks with ease. This is partially due to him being a Thrill Seeker.
  • Beta Couple: Becomes a couple with Azami later in the story.
  • Birds of a Feather: He and Azami end up bonding and becoming a couple due to their similarities, being Thrill Seeker & Badass Bikers.
  • Dissonant Serenity: Unless he's riding his bike at full speed, he keeps a serene and polite manner of speaking, even when dealing with gangster business.
  • Survivor Guilt: He suffers from extreme guilt for causing an accident that made his police officer friend be unable to ride for life, as the police officer managed to save him, but not himself.
  • Thrill Seeker: He Drives Like Crazy just for the thrill that the speed gives him, and enjoys being challenged.

    Wakanosuke Handou
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/wakanosuke_handou.png
Voiced by: Ryota Takeuchi
The Onishima Alliance 4th ranked enforcer.
  • Birds of a Feather: He bonds with Osanada over their similar positions, both struggle with being Dumb Muscle are the stereotypes that come with it.
  • The Brute: By his own admission he thinks he's not talented enough to be anything by ray muscle for the Onishima Alliance.
  • Dumb Muscle: He's very strong, but not very intelligent, which led to him being bullied until he met Douji and joined the Onishima Alliance.
  • Gentle Giant: Osanada recognizes the potential in him to be this, seeing he's quite polite and performs many samaritan acts not related to his gang work, and attempts to convince him that Douji is only encouraging Handou worst impulses by having him work simply as The Brute.
  • Sleeves Are for Wimps: He's always wearing tops without leaves, to better show off his muscular arms.
  • Undying Loyalty: His deeply loyal to Douji for giving him a place where he feels he belongs in the Onishima Alliance.

    Amano Sumire
Voiced by: Reina Ueda
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/amano_sumihe.png
The eldest of the Sumire siblings and the Onishima Alliance 5th ranked enforcer.
  • Always Identical Twins: He and his triplet siblings have near identical appearances and voices, allowing them to easily pull a Twin Switch.
  • Big Brother Bully: As the Sumire triplets got older, Amano became more and more of a bully towards his siblings, to the point of forcing them to join the Onishima Alliance and treating Raino like crap for her reluctance to be a gangster. Getting beat up by Raino makes him realize what a jerk he's been.
  • Evil Twin: Of the triplets he's the most vile and prone to getting into trouble, and is the one that got Kazeno and Raino into becoming Japanese Delinquents in the first place.
  • Master of Disguise: They all learned how to use make-up to disguise themselves so they could pull a Twin Switch on people, but they got so good at it that they can also disguise themselves as other people too, such as when they pretend to be members of Team Ryuugu in order to frame them.
  • Sibling Seniority Squabble: Of the Sumire triplets, Amano is the eldest, Kazeno is the middle, and Raino is the youngest. Amano takes being a few minutes older quite seriously and sees himself as their leader and superior, something Kazeno and Raino have accepted.
  • Smug Smiler: Frequently has a big, toothy smug smile on his face, exemplary of his egomaniac nature.
  • Theme Twin Naming: His name contains the kanji for Sky, while Kazeno has Rain and Raino has Lightning.
  • Twin Switch: The Sumire triplets are all near identical, and combined with their skill at acting and with make-up, they can all flawlessly impersonate each other.

One of the Sumire siblings and a top enforcer of the Onishima Alliance.
  • Always Identical Twins: He and his triplet siblings have near identical appearances and voices, allowing them to easily pull a Twin Switch.
  • Ambiguous Gender Identity: He spends most of his days crossdressing as a girl, but has no problem referring to himself as a boy in private. It's ambiguous if he somewhat identifies as female or simply enjoys cross-dressing.
  • Master of Disguise: They all learned how to use make-up to disguise themselves so they could pull a Twin Switch on people, but they got so good at it that they can also disguise themselves as other people too, such as when they pretend to be members of Team Ryuugu in order to frame them.
  • Out of Focus: Gets the least screentime and focus out of the Sumire siblings, due to Raino having extra screentime due to her crush on Rokudou and Amano getting focus due to being the Evil Twin.
  • Theme Twin Naming: His name contains the kanji for Rain, while Amano has Sky and Raino has Lightning.
  • Token Good Teammate: Downplayed. He doesn't sympathize with Rokudou like Raino does, but decides to side with his sister in the end. In general, alongside Raino, they're only part of the Onishima Alliance because their brother forced them to, and would rather go back to having a normal life at school, which is exactly what they do after the arc is over.
  • Twin Switch: The Sumire triplets are all near identical, and combined with their skill at acting and with make-up, they can all flawlessly impersonate each other.
  • Wholesome Crossdresser: While he seems to identify himself as male to the people who know, he's almost always cross-dressing as a girl and acting as one in his everyday life, unbeknown to most people.

One of the Sumire siblings and a top enforcer of the Onishima Alliance.
  • Always Identical Twins: She and her triplet siblings have near identical appearances and voices, allowing them to easily pull a Twin Switch.
  • Ambiguous Gender Identity: She spends most of her days crossdressing as a boy, but has no problem referring to herself as a girl in private. It's ambiguous if she somewhat identifies as male or simply enjoys cross-dressing.
  • Kick Chick: She developed her own fighting style separate from her brother's that is entirely composed of kicks, and got skilled enough with it that she managed to defeat him.
  • Master of Disguise: They all learned how to use make-up to disguise themselves so they could pull a Twin Switch on people, but they got so good at it that they can also disguise themselves as other people too, such as when they pretend to be members of Team Ryuugu in order to frame them.
  • Smitten Teenage Girl: She falls hard for Rokudou thanks to the scroll's spell and his own innate kindness being something she admired. She even confesses to him, but he gently turns her down.
  • Theme Twin Naming: Her name contains the kanji for Lightning, while Amano has Sky and Kazeno has Rain.
  • Token Good Teammate: The only member of the Onishima Alliance that refuses to take part in Doiji's scheme against Rokudou, due to her having fallen in love with him. In general, alongside Raino, they're only part of the Onishima Alliance because their brother forced them to, and would rather go back to having a normal life at school, which is exactly what they do after the arc is over.

Team Ryuugu

    In General
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/team_ryuugu.png
An all-female biker gang that Ranna was briefly part of.
  • Action Girl: Downplayed compared to most named female characters, but they're all at least able to throw down with the equivalent Mooks of other gangs.
  • Amazon Brigade: All members of Ryuugu are female Japanese Delinquents, and men are not allowed to join.
  • Badass Biker: They're a fierce and badass gang of female bikers who travel all across the country.
  • Neighbourhood-Friendly Gangsters: Mostly due to Otohime's leadership, Team Ryuugu does not participate in any real crimes or illegal activity. Even in the past when they used to get involved in fights, they were nowhere near as bad or ruthless as other gangs.
  • Reformed Criminal: Originally they acted more like a traditional Japanese Delinquents gang, but after a nasty incident with the Onishima Alliance, Otohime decided to put a stop to it and reformed the gang. They're now more or less law-abiding citizens who just dress up as gangsters and hang out.

The kind and valiant leader of Team Ryuugu.
  • Action Girl: One of the best female fighters in the show, even being able to trade blows with Ranna for an extended period of time.
  • Badass Longcoat: She's a badass gang leader who wears a long white coat.
  • Badass Pacifist: Just because she doesn't try to get into fights anymore and would rather talk things out, doesn't mean she's still not a badass gang leader. She can dish a Curb-Stomp Battle to most delinquents and is able to match powerhouses like Ranna and Yashiya.
  • The Leader: She's the easygoing boss of Team Ryuugu, a group of Neighbourhood Friendly Japanese Delinquents.
  • Long Hair Is Feminine: She has a huge mane of purple hair that goes past her waist, notably having the longest hair in her gang, and is Tomboy with a Girly Streak with motherly qualities.
  • Morality Pet: She was a good influence on Ranna during her time in Team Ryuugu, which proves to Rokudou that Ranna does have the potential for kindness even without his influence.
  • Muscles Are Meaningless: She seems to have a slender frame that doesn't indicate how strong she really is.
  • Nice Girl: The kindest of all the "delinquent" girls on the series, to the point Rokudou's Chick Magnet powers don't affect her at all, as she doesn't count as a "bad girl".
  • Rank Scales with Asskicking: She's the head of her all-girls gang and is by far the strongest fighter among them, save for the brief period of time Ranna was part of Ryuugu.
  • Statuesque Stunner: She's quite a bit taller than the rest of the girls in her gang and is also quite attractive.
  • Super-Strength: Shows the similar bizarre feats of strength that Ranna and Osanada, such as throwing a guy flying with a simple slap or bending metal with a punch.
  • Team Mom: She's older than the girls on her Team Ryuugu and tends to act more like a cool responsible older figure than a real gang leader.
  • Tomboy with a Girly Streak: Despite her tomboyish hobbies, she still has a lot of feminine qualities. She even wears girly heels.
  • Wooden Katanas Are Even Better: She originally fought with a wooden katana, and did so quite proficiently. It's the same katana that she would eventually gift to Ranna as a symbol of their friendship, and Ranna would go one to use as her defining weapon.
