The mild-mannered Viscount almost shouldn't have been the Chairman of the British Trade Union Congress, yet somehow he is, and he is well liked by the factions of what is a viciously factional body. Snowden's victory is largely credited to his decision to avoid the fractional politics of the Trade Union Congress and how he showed himself to be an unaligned and neutral candidate, free of partiality. Since his assuming of the title of Chairman, Snowden has seen old faces go and new faces come in the TUC, but he has always remained a symbol of British post-revolutionary unity, always calming factional tensions wherever they come, and seeking to maintain a balance between all four factions- which is perhaps why he unopposed Mosley's bid for Exchequer. The former Liberal-turned-Syndicalist is perhaps the most normal figure in these strange times, always staying above and refusing to occupy his time with petty insults. As the 1936 Congress of Trade Unions approaches, Snowden has given many hints to his possible retirement- an uncomfortable reality to say the least.

In-Game Biographty: ^{Click to Show}Oswald Mosley, left with a permanent limp from a flying accident during the Weltkrieg, entered into British politics a conservative. By the outbreak of the British Revolution, however, Mosley famously crossed the floor of parliament to stand with the revolutionaries of the Independent Labour Party.

Mosley, despite his physical impairment, quickly became perhaps the most passionate orator on the left. His firebrand speeches, particularly his famous address before the conservative workers of Birmingham, propelled Mosley to the forefront of the Trade Union movement, and eventually leadership of the governing TUC.

Mosley, founder of the authoritarian Maximist faction of the TUC, is a vocal exponent of increased centralisation, and aggressive foreign policy.

T. E. Lawrence

In-Game Biographty: ^{Click to Show}To some, Lawrence is a New Cromwell, hellbent on shaping England in his dictatorial image. To others, Lawrence is the protector of British Democracy, and the savoir of the nation. Many things can be said about Thomas Edward Lawrence, the famous officer and archaeologist who unsuccessfully led the Arab tribes in rebellion against the Ottoman Empire during the Weltkrieg. However, despite people’s views on him, one thing is a fact: His power over Britain is undeniable. Lawrence, charismatic yet reserved, has made ambiguous promises to the British people regarding Britain's future. While his past dedication to the Syndicalist cause is undeniable, many now fear that his power may go to his head; and he could end up being no better than the man he deposed.

• Cincinnatus: Lawrence comes to power by deposing the tyrant Oswald Mosley in a coup. He can then either make himself Grand Protector of England, or decide that his military junta is only a temporary measure until Mosley's minions could be dealt with.

• The Federation: An independent, socialist Wales can form a Celtic Federative Socialist Republics with fellow Celtic nations.
• Puppet State: If Wales is liberated by Germany after a successful invasion of the Union of Britain, it remains a puppet of Germany.

Saunders Lewis

• Assassin Outclassin': Lewis is shot with a bullet during H. R. Jones' coup against him. While the coup can succeed or fail, Lewis will always survive.
• Conscription: Lewis institutes mandatory military service in Wales to combat the syndicalist threat.
• Cult of Personality: After thwarting H. R. Jones' coup attempt, Lewis will build a cult of personality, portraying himself as the God-appointed leader of Wales. His portrait is hung in every classroom, and his face is omnipresent in the streets.
• Full-Circle Revolution: If Lewis seizes and holds onto power, Wales' revolution would only have replaced an English dictator (Oswald Mosley) with a Welsh one.
• Occupiers Out of Our Country: The Wales Home Rule Army has been in active opposition to the government in Westminster since 1925, and seeks to secure Wales' independence from English rule.
• The Purge: Lewis will round up and shoot key union leaders, and give many unionised workers lengthy prison terms, so that no socialist can rise against his rule. If H. R. Jones' coup attempt against him fails, he'll begin rooting out his allies in the administration.
• Secret Police: The Comisiwn Heddlu Arbennig is a secret police force formed for the purpose of rooting out syndicalists and traitors.

He claims the reasons are for his health, which may be partly true, but it's been plainly clear that Hobart has been little more than a figurehead; any influence he could have had over the government is long gone.

Archibald Maule Ramsay

• Clear Their Name: Believing that Guy Fawkes has been unfairly demonised by British historians, Ramsay holds a new trial before live cameras, in which Fawkes is posthumously acquitted of his charges.
• Evil Reactionary: Ramsay has a very radical view of how Britain should be run: an emphasis on tradition, a new found Catholicism and a rabid hatred of Syndicalism.
• Regent for Life: Since he has no royal lineage, Ramsay feels it improper to crown himself King. Instead, if he chooses not to give the crown to someone else, he'll proclaim himself Lord High Chancellor, an absolutist ruler whose title will also be bestowed upon his son or other chosen heir.

• The Remnant: After the Union of Britain is overthrown in Hobart's counterrevolution, Attlee reforms the Labour Party with former TUC syndicalists who escaped punishment for one reason or another, and are widely seen as a remnant of the old order and a threat to the new order. However, Attlee himself considers the new Labour to be the final protectors of the rights of the workers.

Maurice Thorez was born in Pas-de-Calais, France on the 28th of April, 1900. Becoming a coal miner at the young age of 12. He would go on to join the French Section of the Workers’ International at the age of 19. His time in the SFIO introduced him to Marxist thought, causing him to become enamored with the ideas of Communism and a very enthusiastic supporter of the Bolshevik uprising in Russia. The ultimate failure of the Bolsheviks led Thorez to conclude that they had not been pure or strong enough, that they had failed both Lenin, Marx, and Robespierre by their inability to take every measure necessary for the revolution. Thorez would take up arms in the Second French Revolution, declaring himself as a syndicalist to disguise his true communist nature. A charismatic leader, many flocked to him for his bold speeches and devotion to the Revolution. Once the Commune of France had been established, however, he revealed his true colors, declaring the Commune a bourgeois fourth republic, and converting his followers to the ways of communism. Now calling themselves the “Jacobins” after the radicals of Robespierre, Thorez and his followers became an immense thorn in the side of the CGT. Considering himself to be the successor to Robespierre and Lenin, Thorez would be dismissed as a political failure for his inability to win a seat in the BGT. But now with his rule secured by his astounding victory in the 1936 elections, the “political failure” is determined to live up to his predecessors and crush all who stand in his way of creating a true Communist French utopia.

• Ascended Extra: In the original Kaiserreich, Thorez is only the Jacobins' candidate for the post of Security Minister in the Commune of France. With Kaiserredux, he becomes the leader of the Jacobin faction, replacing Marcel Déat (who is moved to the Sorelians, which is more accurate to his real life political stance).
• Culture Police: The Jacobins seek to dismantle old France's cultural heritage and embrace the future.
• Face Death with Dignity: When sentenced to death by Maurice Gamelin, Thorez sits calmly without any emotion and says no word, and when given the final word after the sentence is pronounced, he says nothing and stares straight ahead.
• Illegal Religion: The Jacobins ban all religions in France and replace them with the Cult of the Supreme Being from the old French Revolution.
• Kangaroo Court: The Jacobins broadcast the trials of dissidents (whose fates have already been pre-determined) in order to show their anti-socialist activity to the world.
• Reign of Terror: In emulation of their namesake, the Jacobins begin a second Reign of Terror, putting a guillotine on every street and turning the Seine red with the blood of reactionaries (including anarchists, Sorelians and syndicalists).
  Much like Robespierre, Thorez himself believed this wasn't enough. More blood had to be spilled for the beloved Commune to be cleansed of corruption. So, he smiled. In a field of sorrow, screams, and agony, he smiled.
• Renegade Splinter Faction: The Jacobins see the Third Internationale as a corrupt and decadent organisation that sought only to advance the agenda of the syndicalists and their reactionary allies, and will form the Fourth Internationale to serve as the 'global standard bearer of socialism'.

Born as Alfred-Georges Gressent, to a working-class peasant family in 1878, Georges was invested in politics from an early age. Becoming an adherent to the national-syndicalist teachings of Georges Sorel whilst working as his secretary, however he was not always a man of the left. After publishing political thought directly inspired by his mentor, Sorel, he became an acquaintance of monarchist writer Charles Maurras. Joining Maurras’s movement, Action Française, he developed his ideology of fusing working-class based politics with monarchism. In 1911 he founded the Cercle Proudhon with fellow AF comrades, this group espoused national-syndicalism, integral nationalism and antisemitism whilst rejecting liberal and conservative democracy. Overtime as syndicalist movements evolved throughout France, the Cercle became overtly left-wing whilst maintaining an aggressively nationalist stance on world politics. When the French Civil War broke out, Valois took advantage of the crisis by turning his group into a fully fledged political movement. The Sorelians were born, disowning any previous reactionary views, Valois and his comrades took to streets of a broken France to demand the destruction of the French Third Republic.

Now he has become chairman of the Bourse Générale du Travail. Valois advocates the unification of the chairmanships of the Bourse Générale du Travail and Comité de Salut Public, a precursor in the eyes of many Communards, to tyranny. He has also advocated for vengeance against Germany and the reclamation of lost French territory.

Many things Marcel Bucard has been called over the years. Syndicalist, Anti-semite, Nationalist, Worker. Beginning life as the son of a butcher in Saint-Clair-sur-Epte, Marcel Bucard initially studied to become a Catholic Priest. This all changed however with the outbreak of the Weltkrieg where he patriotically signed up to fight off the German horde in defense of the French nation rising through the ranks and winning admiration for fellow french patriots and friends in the trenches. No matter how hard he fought however the horrors of the war cemented his personal hatred for Germany and its mistreatment of the French people. Originally a reactionary, the Weltkrieg provided him with a deep hatred for the French upper-class who he saw as cowards for surrendering to the Germans. The revolutionary period that swept France saw the Bankers, Liberals, Capitalists, the exploiters of the French nation abandon it and flee with the riches of its people. Countering this was of the utmost personal importance to Bucard who joined Valois’s Sorelians, eventually taking leadership of his own faction, the ‘Revolutionary Francists’. Giving speeches towards crowds of disenfranchised French patriots against 'Ruthless banking clans' and their 'Liberal lapdogs' he easily recruited among the galvanized Weltkrieg veterans.

Now in control as the Chief of the French Rejuvenated Revolutionary Syndicate, Bucard sees the destruction of the German Empire as his main objective. To him, the superior French proletariat have smashed the chains of their masters and can no longer be defeated by any force!

Marcel Déat was born in 1894 to a modest family, in his youth he excelled at his studies and became involved in left-wing politics. A student of Radical politician Émile Chartier he joined the SFIO, however this political stint came to end when the Weltkrieg broke out. A staunch patriot he enlisted in the French Army and saw active duty, earning the Legion of Honour and five bravery citations. The Weltkrieg shaped his political views, forging a deep hatred for Germany and the French elite who he saw as failing the nation. During the lead up the French Civil War, Déat has positioned himself to the right of the socialist movement, advocating for an authoritarian, anti-capitalist state. Despite his early works being published by Valois Marcel himself never joined the Sorelians, only occasionally cooperating with certain elements of their movement. When the General Strike led to civil conflict Déat declared loyalty to the Commune.

Representing 'Néo-Socialisme', Déat has proved himself to be capable in forging connections with former political enemies and taking action against the collapsing Syndicalist order. With the chaos resulting from Valois' death Déat sensed the opportunity and struck out against the mad revolutionaries of Bucard, securing France in hopes of finally implementing his constructive reformation.

However despite this supposed unlimited freedom and abolition of all hierarchies, the most powerful man in the nation is undoubtedly Nestor Makhno. His role as the protector of anarchy allows him command large numbers of Black Guard soldiers who station themselves across the Free Territory. When his men require rest and food the citizens of communes oblige, Makhno chooses to not involve himself in the politics of anarchist communes however it would be unwise to challenge any decision he could make...

• Anarchy Is Chaos: Life is nasty, brutish and short in the Free Territory of France, a lawless anarchic territory where full, unlimited freedom is guaranteed, even if it leads to violence (in contrast to the normal anarchist tree from the original Kaiserreich).

Born into a poor peasantry family in Ukraine, 26 October 1888, Nestor Ivanovych Makhno was forced to adapt quickly to a harsh life. Extreme poverty led to him finding work for himself, being employed at a local iron foundry he witnessed the rise of revolutionary anti-Tsarist politics. Having experienced the Tsarist Regime’s brutality himself he joined local anarchists and took part in robberies resulting in his imprisonment. When the Weltkrieg broke out he remained a prisoner, sentenced to death by hanging, this came to end with the Russian Revolution. Being freed he left for Ukraine, forming connections with anarchists he established the ‘Black Army’ to fight against both Ukrainian nationalists and the intervening German forces. When Germany secured its dominance of the nation he fled his homeland for France.

Now, his firebrand denouncement of any and all state-authority has secured his popularity and notability in French politics. Forming the ‘Black Guard’ terrorist organization which has now overthrown the Sorelian regime. With the failures of Ukraine and France, Makhno has been further radicalised by the Illegalists. His radical vision of a nation, and perhaps world, without government of any kind, will likely not come to fruition in the foreseeable future. However his efforts to destroy any remnants of authority in the commune with the establishment of the ‘Free Territory of France’ have so far been successful. These successes may be in vain however, for his personal army of anarchists are the only thing that can prevent France’s neighbours from taking advantage of this chaos...

• Better to Die than Be Killed: If the Black Guard fails to overthrow the Sorelians, the Revolutionary Guard will find Nestor Makhno's corpse in an abandoned Black Guard safehouse, with two bullet wounds to the back of the head.
• He's Back!: If Dybenko takes over Russia as the leader of the Russian Anarchists, Petrichenko will attempt to oust him, and Makhno will return to Russia to take control of the Anarchist movement as her originally did back in Ukraine.
• Just the First Citizen: Despite being the closest thing the Free Territory has to a leader, Makhno is only supposed to represent the people, and no gods, no masters and no kings rule.

Born into a military family, 20 September 1872, Maurice Gustave Gamelin was always destined for military greatness. Entering into the Saint-Cyr Military Academy he graduated first in his class, going on to serve in Tunisia. Serving as attaché to future Marshal of France, General Joseph Joffre, this position provided Gamelin with a solid knowledge of strategic and tactical warfare. During the Weltkrieg he distinguished himself for helping plan the victory at the Battle of the Marne. Quickly being promoted all the way to Brigadier General however with the German offensive of 1918 pushing further and further into France, Gamelin was recalled to Paris. Leading a desperate defence of the capital he held the lines just long enough for a civilian extraction saving countless lives. After the war he maintained a high ranking position in the military, as civil tension escalated he refused to allow politics to sway his loyalty to France. When the syndicalist revolutionaries were successful, Gamelin offered his services to the government and was made Marshal of the Commune of France. This came to an end when the Jacobin regime was declared.

As the Jacobin rule of tyranny tore France apart, Gamelin realised that his backseat in politics must end. Forging an alliance Léon Blum, a Popular Front backed by the military, has overthrown Thorez’s dictatorship with Gamelin proclaimed as Maréchal. Many now regard Gamelin as the defender of Communard democracy, and saviour of France.

The French Confederation of Christian Workers (CFTC) is a union of urban and peri-urban workers referring at its foundation in 1919, just before the Revolution, to the social doctrine of the Church. The CFTC is often far more moderate and conservative on many issues than the far more revolutionary unions, it was thus left out of the creation of the Commune's constitution and institutions. The objectives of the CFTC is the advancement of workers' rights in accordance with Christian principles and the life of Jesus Christ, which makes it much more popular than other unions with rural populations, making its leader Gaston Tessier, the spokesperson and representative in the Communard system of the demands of the Church and its adepts. Although it does not have enough political power to run for a majority in the BGT, it still has seats and significant influence, making the CFDT a valuable ally for the more moderate factions like the SFIO.

The Federal Union of French Veterans Associations (UFAFC) is an organization representing the interests of the many veterans of the Great War, many of whom are still soldiers in the ARF, and working to honor their sacrifice and memory. Officially apolitical, the organization, led by the Republican-Socialist and former soldier Gaston Vidale, is nevertheless very close to groups sympathetic to the interests of the Army, particularly in their conflict with the militias, such as the SFIO, the PRS and the Soreliens. Marshal Gamelin is also a member of the organization, and is considered its spokesman and spiritual leader, mediating conflicts between the pacifist and revanchist towards Germany factions, and ensuring the unity of the UFAFC. Although it has no political representation of its own, not being a trade union, its influence on Communard society is not to be underestimated in an increasingly turbulent and militarisatic world.

Articulating in the South, especially in Marseille, these gangsters knew how to take advantage of the Revolution to enrich themselves, using for example their link to transmit goods to be socialized by the Commune to owners and industrialists in exile in Algiers with whom they maintain many links, they are also involved in more classic activities of the Mafia such as assassination, gambling, prostitution... the largest of these Marseillaise families is the Guérini family which takes more and more influence and is a real plague for the maintenance of order, led by Antoine Guérini and his brother Barthélemy, coming from Corsica, strengthening their link with the government in exile still holding their native island, they are widely suspected of having links with the mayor of Marseilles from the SFIO Gaston Defferre.

Convinced of the righteousness of their struggle, the members of the MLSF are a real nuisance to the Communard authorities, who are relentless in their efforts to defeat the movement once and for all...

Since the Weltkrieg, Germany has eclipsed its rivals, and its drive to acquire a place in the sun has been fulfilled. Even if dark clouds loom over the horizon, Kaiser Wilhelm has the support of his people, his military, and the aristocracy which lord over both.

Emperor Wilhelm III, despite lackluster performance as commander of Germany's Army Group B during the Weltkrieg, was hailed as a hero upon his return home. With the death of his father, Wilhelm the war hero, was enthroned as the new Emperor of Germany. Wilhelm is a friend and ally of Kurt von Schleicher, and affirms the importance of the aristocracy in governance.

In-Game Biography ^{Click to Show}Born on May 6th, 1882, in Marmorpalais, Potsdam, Kingdom of Prussia, German Empire, the heir apparent of the German Empire since the age of six, Crown Prince Wilhelm is a decorated commander in the Imperial German Army on his own right. A modern royal well-liked within German society, a competent equestrian and a student of administrative law, he began his career in the army in 1911, commissioned to command the 1st Life Hussar Regiment. When the Weltkrieg began, he rose to command the 5th Army, and then the Army Group Kronprinz Wilhelm, despite his young age and lack of military experience. His influence in decision-making on the front was minimal, however, and Wilhelm instead used the prestige of his position to support Paul von Hindenburg and Erich Ludendorff - he described the ousting of Theobald von Bethmann Hollweg as "the most beautiful day of his life".

Crown Prince Wilhelm returned from the Western Front a war hero, and continued his duties as the heir apparent. In the post-war years, he has retained his position in the Army, while growing increasingly close with the German right wing - especially Kurt von Schleicher, who is a friend and ally of Wilhelm's.

In-Game Biography: ^{Click to Show}Serving as one of the most decorated young Revolutionary generals within the Commune’s larger armed forces, Henri Tanguy is both a veteran of the Second Weltkrieg as well as one of the leading figures of the ‘Résistance Luxembourgeoise.’ Born in 1908 in Brittany to sailors, the young Tanguy moved to Paris as a boy following the Weltkierg to become a foundryman, where he would fall in with various far-left groups such as the Young Communists following the rise of the new French Revolution until he joined the Commune’s military in 1929. From there, Tanguy rose through the ranks, slowly proving himself as an officer, until he eventually joined a special unit known as Francs-Tireurs et Partisans aimed at inciting rebellion within the territories occupied by the Kaiserreich. Within the FTP, Tanguy worked closely with Luxembourgish Socialists and Social Democrats waging a guerilla war against the pro-monarchy and reactionary forces that long occupied Luxembourg, and helped lead the ragtag group of freedom fighters to victory after victory until Luxembourg was finally freed. Now, in the wake of the Second Weltkrieg, General Tanguy leads the ‘Armée de Libération du Luxembourg’ - a provisional military government aimed at aiding the creation of Luxembourg's own people’s republic. Though his mandate is only temporary, Tanguy truly seeks to help the Luxemourgers build their new nation, and it is his duty to ensure this infantile red republic can blossom before it is taken down by reactionaries still hiding out in Luxembourg. So long as Tanguy and his Armée de Libération are in Luxembourg, the new administration is safe.

Training to become a doctor as an intern in Paris in secret, Marx showed promise as a surgeon and doctor but dreamed of political aspirations. After completing his medical studies, Marx snuck back across the border into now-German occupied Luxembourg, and returned to the capital full of both medical knowledge and Syndicalist ideas he had not had before his departure. While back at home, and with secret funding from the French, Marx founded his own private medical practice that served as a front for his ‘Armée Secrète’ - a anti-German resistance movement aimed at instigating a wider Luxembourger revolution - and secretly used it to spread Syndicalist ideas within his homeland. With the spark of the revolution finally taking place with the arrival of French general Henri Tanguy, the two set to work liberating Luxembourg, and after many hard fought victories and a gruesome guerilla campaign, have freed Luxembourg from the Kaiserreich’s grasp. Now, with the German occupation uprooted - only to be replaced by a French one - Marx finds himself as the main figure within the Syndikalistesche Gewerkschaftskongress, and has been elected as its first president. Under his leadership, Luxembourg shall gradually face its new Syndicalist destiny, despite the numerous reactionary groups that infect our state, and Marx shall be the herald of this new crimson dawn.

Born in 1896 in Berg Castle, Charlotte was the second daughter of Grand Duke William IV, meaning it was her older sister Marie-Adélaïde who originally took the throne following the death of their father in 1912. As Marie-Adélaïde guided the nation through an untold era of peace and prosperity with modernization and Germanization programs, Charlotte spent her time building diplomatic ties and enjoying royal life. Unlike her sister who was fiercely pro-German and who enjoyed messing about in national affairs, Charlotte was far more reserved and apolitical, but still rose to take her rightful seat on the throne when the nation called upon her in their time of need. Taking the throne hastily after her sister’s death at the hands of Commune soldiers, Charlotte would only rule for a short while before the Grand Duchy was fully dissolved by the victorious French. Following these crushing French victories and the arrival of the Luxembourger Revolution, Charlotte was forced to flee and established a government-in-exile supported by monarchist loyalists, republicans under Pierre Dupong, and nationalist paramilitaries under Damian Kratzenberg. With their help, the counter-revolution would eventually be successful, and in the ensuing power struggle, it was the Grand Duchess who would come out on top. Now once again ruling from the Luxembourg throne, Charlotte has restored the fallen Grand Duchy, and seeks to restore Luxembourg to all its former glory.

After receiving higher education at the Diekirch Gymnasium, Kratzenberg went on to study literature and art in Luxembourg City, Paris, Lille and Berlin throughout the early 1900s, learning numerous languages such as German, French, Dutch, and Greek along the way. Rising to teach at the famous Athénée de Luxembourg, Kratzenberg joined the Liberal Liga in 1927 and slowly radicalized as the threat of the Commune loomed closer. By 1935, Kratzenberg had fully departed from his once-liberal views, and instead rose to become president of the Society for German Literature and Art - a pro-German cultural society that would serve as the foundation for the Volksdeutsche Bewegung wich he would found just a few years later. From here, Kratzenberg would further radicalize, falling in ideas of German nationalism and purity inspired by burgeoning nationalist movements within the Kaiserreich itself. Leading the VdB from its humble beginnings, Kratzenberg and his followers fought viscously in the counter-revolution to free Luxembourg, with his paramilitary arm of the VdB proving to be instrumental in the liberation. Now, with our nation under his thumb and in the process of being totally ‘Germanized,’ Damian Kratzenberg stands as the most powerful man in Luxembourg. Under his watch, we shall attain our Teutonic destiny!

The king of White Ruthenia Uladzimir von Hohenzollern is not the kind of man one expects for such a job. Born Waldemar Wilhelm Ludwig Friedrich Viktor Heinrich von Hohenzollern, son of Prince Heinrich of Prussia, nephew of the Kaiser, nothing destined him to become king of White Ruthenia, at least until the German victory in the Weltkrieg. After the abolition of the Belarusian People's Republic, Uladzimir's father became the king of the country, he did his best to fight against illiteracy and tried to modernize the country during his reign, he died on April 20, 1929 with his son ascending to his throne.

Uladzimir is generally seen as a weak monarch, although loving his people, he is considered a man with little experience in governmental matters. With a reputation as a cowardly and indecisive man, his many bouts of hemophilia only make his situation worse and prevent him from making efforts for his country. One would think that this situation would lead to the BSDP-dominated Duma taking the lead in the political process, but this is not the case, as much of the executive power is held by the pro-German PNP Prime Minister Vasyl Zacharka at the expense of the King. With popular discontent on the rise, calls for a return to democracy and even the establishment of a republic increasing, socialists lurking in the shadows and his brother eyeing the throne greedily, the King's position is increasingly precarious.

Uladzimir knows that he will have to act sooner or later in some way, one can only wonder how.

• Inadequate Inheritor: Due to his haemophilia, King Uladzimir has not been able to live up to the standards set by his father.

In fact, among the few legal parties of Ukraine sitting in the Soim, it is Vasyl who is being put faith on. However, with a stagnant economy, a dysfunctional bureaucracy, and most of all, tension with the influential Hetman and his SHD, Vasyl struggles to maintain authority.

However, the Bolsheviks have been defeated both in Russia and Ukraine, and Shumskyi, together with the newly created party of Borotbysts, began his active work to destroy the Hetmanate from inside and liberate the Ukrainian peasants and workers.

Despite calls for an official declaration of a new Republic of Italy, the government decided to make yet another deal with the Austrians, agreeing to keep the Lombardy-Veneto title officially while everyone in reality refers to the state as the Italian Republic, until the full withdrawal of the Austrian Garrison under Artur Edler von Schuschnigg. Bonomi's willingness to work with the much-maligned Austria, while economically beneficial, continues to draw great internal scrutiny. Bonomi struggles to weather these increasingly virulent criticisms while cementing the republic's political institutions.

Born in Cerignola, an unassuming agricultural town located in the Apulia region within the Italian South, Giuseppe Di Vittorio was born a child of poor agricultural labourers, his political radicalization starting from the May 1904 general strike in his hometown and membership in the syndicalist Federation of Young Socialists. With his experience as chairman of Minervino Murge's Chamber of Labour he was elected in 1912 to the central committe of the newly formed Italian Syndicalist Union. After the government issued an amnesty for participants of 1914's Red Week Di Vittorio returned from Switzerland and took a pro-war stance, even joining a Bersaglieri unit in 1915 but returning a year later after being wounded.
The war ended, and in another world this may have resulted in Di Vittorio rejoining the majority of the USI in their Neutralist stance, perhaps even becoming a candidate for the PSI, yet this could never be the case. The national humiliation suffered in the lost Weltkrieg kicked off a chain of events that resulted in the Italian Civil War of 1919-1920. Being a major figure within the Union that supported the war, Di Vittorio rallied many veterans together with other war proponents such as Benito Mussolini or Filippo Tommaso Marinetti. The Neutralist USI, the distinction having emerged during the war, and other pacifist Socialists had to accept yet another war. The sectarianism of Italy would not have grown so if not for the Red Republicans declaring the Socialist Republic after French Communard success, forcing the Whites towards Austria. The Civil War ended in an uneasy ceasefire, but the pressure of the conflict set the stage for future politics of the peninsula.
Giuseppe Di Vittorio became the Chairman, a candidate reluctantly confirmed by Armando Borghi's Neutralist USI, later allying with anti-Di Vittorio Errico Malatesta's Italian Anarchist Union, and the Communist Party of Italy created from the embers of the PSI, more supportive after Amadeo Bordiga's departure South in disgust of Antonio Gramsci's 'opportunism'. An important proponent of Di Vittorio's chairmanship was the National Revolutionary Bloc led by Mussolini, Nicola Bombacci, Alceste De Ambris and Marinetti. The only major opposition came from the Unitary Socialist Party, part of the Reformist sphere in the PSI weakend by people like Ivanoe Bonomi and Gaetano Salvemini becoming major players elsewhere in Italy.
And so Di Vittorio, a man charismatic enough to rally the masses, has stood as the Chairman for nearly two decades. But with world rapidly changing, and the web of alliances becoming ever so complicated, Giuseppe's 'status quo' may not last for much longer.

Under the Mafia, Italy continues to manufacture the goods it's famous for; wine, cars, fashion - and now the Mafia exports them to feed the global demand for luxury goods. And unlike many fictional depictions of them, the Mafia has absolutely no problem being part of the drug trade.
• Corrupt Politician: Exaggerated. In the Mafia State, corruption is no longer a problem to be rooted out, it is both a means and a way of life. The government is corrupt on every single level, with every cop, representative and judge being on the Mafia's payroll, and every political party in the area being loyal to them. Corruption is so ingrained that getting rid of it would be paramount to getting rid of the entire state.
• The Don: Vizzini is one of the most influential bosses within the Sicilian Mafia. He's gentlemanly and even conducts his operations as legally as possible, but he still rules with unchecked, uncontested, absolute power. With his ascension to dictator of Southern Italy, he unites all the families and gangs behind him by enforcing discipline on them and settling all their feuds.
• Gangster Land: With the Mafia having become the state, all of Southern Italy becomes this.
• Honor Among Thieves: The Mafia have their own Code of Honour, a law for the lawless, which is enforced as such. Those who do not follow will face severe consequences. If they choose to do so, Vizzini can create a law enforcement for the Mafia families themselves, to ensure nobody gets out of control, and give everyone some form of oversight to keep them in line.
• Just a Gangster: The Mafia now rule uncontested over an entire nation for the first time, and they see virtually no reason to give it up anytime soon.
• The Mafia: With their ultimate victory, they can rule Southern Italy for real, with the families becoming the government, and the gangs uniting into a new army. And under Vizzini's leadership, the Mafia are even more dangerous as they are truly united, with no petty feuds and breaches of discipline bringing them down anymore.
• Make It Look Like an Accident: The Mafia now can conduct high-profile assassinations of all opponents, using snipers, abductions, car bombings, and other standard gangland tactics. Still, Vizzini's government bothers to claim that all the deaths were accidents, despite everyone knowing otherwise.
• The Man Behind the Man: Vizzini becomes this to the Pope if he decides to reinstate the Pope as leader of Northern Italy, but with the Mafia now ruling from the shadows.
• Nebulous Criminal Conspiracy: They can form their own faction, the 'Axis of Bosses' and invite Capone's CSA and the Triad-led Legation Cities to join.
• Protection Racket: The national source of income under Vizzini, who constructs as many as possible to enrich the government and state.

As Italy collapsed, he returned to his community, just in time for syndicalist insurgents to sack his monastery and kill four of his brothers. Shortly after, stigmata wounds appeared on his hands. It was then that Padre Pio learned of God's plan for him. Joining an anti-syndicalist militia as Chaplain, his resolve quickly took him to the position of Commander. With God guiding his destiny, Pio has become the most powerful man in the NeoSanfedisti. No amount of suffering will stop Padre Pio from reviving the Church to truly embrace Christ's message of Purity and Unity.
