The Legion of Doom
- First ASAS Appearance: Post 56
The Legion of Doom was the first villainous faction that the nominators fought over the course of Convergence and Another Side, Another Story, first rising to power after GASK intervened with their death in Reboot Season 41 (though not everyone survived). They allied with Valecor, who got GASK's assistance, in return for rescuing them, and together, they planned to cause the Convergence on many universes by merging them so they can rule them all at once.
Tropes applying to them in general
- Arc Villain: Serve as this for the first major arcs of the roleplay, alongside Valecor as well as Timewrecker and G-13.
- After Valecor's disappearance, and Timewrecker's and G-13's defeats, they've claimed the sole Big Bad spot for themselves, however.
- Big Bad Duumvirate: With Valecor, though the Legion act more like Co-Dragons with Agendas.
- Co-Dragons: To Valecor, though they have their own separate agendas.
- After Valecor's disappearance, the Legion takes up the Big Bad spot for themselves.
- However, most of the members (including the high commands) have reached a compromise to use a Multiversal Convergence as means of ruling the Multiverse.
- Dwindling Party: Thanks to Diavolo's and Ultimecia's attacks, the Legion lost its weaker members. An earlier example was Zamasu getting killed by Valecor when the Legion joined forces with him and Tom and Janna defecting.
- Later on, Zim is executed for his repeated failures and accidentally giving out their locations to some of the Multiverse's heroes.
- Boxman defects when he finds out the Legion's High Commands to be too evil for him.
- And later on, Sir Pentious, a low ranking member, gets fired (literally) from the Base and a few unnamed staff members are Killed Offscreen.
- Taken to its most extreme end after Season 91, where most of the members are killed off after being deemed no longer of use to the High Commands.
- Later on it gets ZigZagged as while Black Hat and Audrey II are killed off, Cosma and Bulba get arrested and Venomous and TKO are taken out of it, Nightmare and Bill add more members by allowing Noire and Akumo to join them and Bill frees his henchmaniacs, while Nightmare revives his Demon Beasts, to serve as extra muscle.
- Dragon with an Agenda: Had a bad case of it, though they do drop this part later on when they discover the Multiversal Convergence and even go as far as dropping all intentions of betraying Valecor.
- Later on, after Valecor's death they remain without any intention to betray one another, except for when their Ultimate Weapon is complete, in which they proceed to purge those deemed weak and no longer of use.
- Evil Is Not a Toy: Initially were formed by Bale who believed he could control them, but then Valecor ensured they would be able to break free and strike back.
- Fatal Flaw: Their overconfidence, even with a massively powerful weapon, they insist on taking on the heroes with their own forces and without going all out at first, which leads to their eventual defeat.
- Gravity Screw: In Reboot Season 41, gravity suddenly reversed on them, causing them to hit the Forcefield. However, GASK intervened by opening a portal at the top, though they weren't able to save everyone.
- Legion of Doom: It's in the name.
- Villain Team-Up: Of various villains across the omniverse, headed by Lord Nightmare, Grogar, Black Hat, Aku, HIM, Bill Cipher, Lucemon and Medusa.
- After the membership purge, Lucemon and Medusa are replaced by Zero and The Overlord.
- You Have Outlived Your Usefulness: Most of the Legion is deemed by the High Commands to become this after they create their own version of the Infinity Gauntlet.
- Later on, Audrey II and Utrom Shredder are used by the High Commands as fodder to be rid of their enemies.

The High Command
Nightmare
- First CVG Appearance: Post 4349 (Pre-Split)First CVG Appearance: Post 56 (Post-Split)First ASAS Appearance: Post 385
- Arc Villain: Given that he's the Legion's top dog he was this for the Multiversal Convergence arc.
- Big Bad: Takes Valecor's role as this for the LOD and Multiversal Convergence Arc of ASAS.
- Dragon Ascendant: He calmly ascends to the top of the Villainous Hierarchy once Valecor and Timewrecker are dealt with, and keeps the position until his defeat.
- Immortality: As per the Entity's words, Nightmare will always exist as long as the tiniest specter of darkness and evil exists. Which is why the heroes seal him inside Grogar's bell, to prevent him from ever returning.
- "It" Is Dehumanizing: Refers to the members of BTS as "creatures" before torturing them.
- The Leader: The self-proclaimed one of the Legion of Doom. And can more than keep his position through force.
- It's later revealed that he was actually appointed by the "Mysterious Evil Entity" as that.
- Omnicidal Maniac: He discovers that a Multiversal Convergence occurred as a result of Thanos' actions and decides to use it as means of reshaping the Multiverse to his liking.
- He follows suit by erasing 10 Worlds from existence as proof of his power.
- Out of Focus: Despite being the leader, he was one of the Legion's least focused on members. At least until the Multiversal Convergence Arc took place.
- The Starscream: When Valecor was leading the Legion, he secretly plotted to overthrow him and was even draining his power to increase his own before the latter disappeared.
- Villainous Breakdown: After most of his troops are beaten, he loses his composure, opting to use the Ultimate Gauntlet to destroy the Multiverse, so as to rob the heroes of victory.
- Villainous Friendship: Somewhat with Bill Cipher, as the Dream Demon is willing to heed his words, even if it's mostly out of convenience. Though in the end he sees him as nothing but a pawn, just like everything else.
Grogar
The First Emperor of Equestria and one of the Legion of Doom's high commands. He plans on recovering his previous position, first by making a villain alliance with all of Equestria's past villains and then through the Multiversal Convergence.
- Adaptational Species Change: He's the real Grogar here, unlike the canon version, which was Discord in disguise.
- Brought Down to Normal: His final fate along with being imprisoned.
- The Corrupter: With the help of the Rainbow of Darkness he corrupted a version of Princess Celestia into Daybreaker.
- Curbstomp Battle: Delivers one to the heroes of AR Equestria, taking all of them out in one hit and easily restraining the others.
- He finds himself on the receiving end of one on the rematch thanks to the villain trio assisting the heroes.
- Dragon with an Agenda: He cares nothing for either Valecor, Nightmare's or the other members of the Legion of Doom's plans, and is plotting to overthrow them all. However, this gets downplayed later on as he joins in on the Legion's plan.
- Eviler than Thou: To every other Equestrian villain.
- Obfuscating Stupidity: Pretends to be oblivious to his Legion's treachery, having fully well expected it from the beginning of their recruitment.
- Offscreen Moment of Awesome: He raided the Crystal Empire and defeated the Pillars of Equestria entirely offscreen.
- Omnicidal Maniac: After discovering the Multiversal Convergence he gladly allows it to happen, so that he can use it as means of reshaping his own universe in his image.
- Retcon: Since he was introduced before the Grand Finale of his show revealed his true identity as Discord, this version of Grogar was retconned into always having been Grogar during Villain Month.
- Sealed Evil in a Can: Per Gale's words, he's currently imprisoned in Tartarus, fully depowered and reduced to an old, frail goat.
- Wild Card: When the Legion begins their ultimate plan, he goes off on his own with his minions to AR Equestria to take it over, separate from the others' goal. Unlike the case with Sombra in his own home series he succeeds temporarily. Though he eventually goes back to help his fellow members fight off the heroes.
Black Hat
The evil boss of the villainous Black Hat Organization. He serves as one of the Legion's contributors in terms of resources and one of it's leaders, reclutantly following Nightmare's lead.
- Ambiguous Situation: Despite being long dead after the Legion's defeat, he still showed up in Reboot Season 188 to let Bale use one of his disposable clones for the season. Whether he was revived offscreen or another alt remains to be seen.
- Big Bad Wannabe: His actions speak louder than words. And he winds up unceremoniously killed before the LOD Finale, as a tribute in the arena to add insult to injury.
- Brought Down to Normal: Nightmare strips him of his powers and sends him to die on the Arena.
- The Friend Nobody Likes: He's the High Command with the least amicability towards the others, and does not get along with the others at all.
- Killed Off for Real: He's depowered and sent to the Games in Season 98, where he dies almost as soon as the Season begins with the other High Commands not bringing him back.
- The Starscream: Tries to be this against Nightmare, but fails and is depowered and sent to the Games as punishment.
- Teeth-Clenched Teamwork: He hates being less than the head of the organization but was forced by Nightmare into compliance.
Bill Cipher
- First ASAS apperance: Post 56
- Arch-Enemy: To Papyrus and Sans, even if he views them as beneath notice. They got their revenge on him by helping the heroes fight him.
- Brought Down to Normal: By the Mane Six's Friendship Beam.
- Co-Dragons: With the rest of the other High Commands sans Nightmare.
- The Dragon: After Season 95, he gets appointed as this by Nightmare.
- Embarrassing Nickname: "Egyptian Nacho", by Valecor. It eventually caught on with those who are enemies to the pyramid demon.
- Evil Is Petty: Took his time to pull some "pranks" on Frisk and the monsters of the Underground, despite being powerful enough to kill anyone there with a finger snap.
- Foil: To Discord, since the two are chaotic entities with power over the fabric of reality. But are contrasted by Discord's more tame nature, whereas Bill is more malevolent and vile. This is highlighted in a meeting Bill has with an AR version of the Lord of Chaos.
- Faux Affably Evil: Is somewhat cordial to his allies and some enemies, despite his utter lack of genuine respect for anyone besides himself.
- The Heavy: Along with Grogar, he is one of the more active High Commands, as his powers allow him to freely travel worlds and dimensions and also plays the largest role throughout his time alive.
- Jerkass: He is not a friendly person, to most allies and enemies alike.
- Karmic Death: Once depowered he was killed by Tabby, whom he creepily treated when she was mind-controlled by Akumo and Noire and even planned to turn her into his "pet".
- Sadist: He enjoys the pain and suffering of others, especially if he's the one dishing out the pain. His "pranks" on the inhabitants of the Underground involved things such as arson. With him enjoying the misery he brought along.
- Troll: He wouldn't be Bill Cipher if he wasn't this. That said, he takes it to extreme levels.
- Villainous Breakdown: Unsuccessfully tries to get Tabby not to kill him after he's depowered.
- Wild Card: In a sense, before Valecor's disappearance he didn't care much for the latter's goals and usually did what he wanted separate from the others. Once Valecor was gone, he did become more proactively involved in the Legion's plans.
Aku
THE SHOGUN OF SORROW. He was revived by the other members along with Nightmare to serve as a member of the Legion.
- A Day In The Lime Light: Though usually Out of Focus, he had a whole chapter to himself, in which he was sent to capture a version of Yellow Diamond. And succeeded.
- Curb-Stomp Battle: Once he stops messing around, he easily trounces Steven and Yellow Diamond, forcing Yellow to surrender herself so Steven's life is spared.
- Omnicidal Maniac: Is on board with the Multiversal Convergence plan. Makes sense as he's Made of Evil.
HIM
A demon from the World of Powerpuff Girls, he serves as one of the Legion's High Commands.
- Hero Killer: In the raid on the Teen Titans Go! universe, he managed to take out all of the Titans.
- Fourth-Wall Observer: Like in his home series he can observe the audience and point things out to them.
- Karma Houdini: Escapes from the Legion of Doom's plot without consequence or punishment after a short fight with Mettaton.
- Screw This, I'm Outta Here: Decides to take a leave once the battle against the Legion starts turning in the heroes' favor.
- Sissy Villain: As usual, even his text in the RP Posts reflects it being pink colored. He also decides to do a dance-off with the equally effeminate Mettaton in the final battle.
The Legions' Sub-Groups
Thanos' Group
Thanos
But later fully willingly joined after Bill showed him that humans would be "ungrateful" towards his actions.
The Mad Titan, a feared conqueror who seeks to eliminate half of all life in the universe (and later the Omniverse), to let the rest thrive. He begrudgingly joined the Legion to further his goals. - A Lighter Shade of Black: Make no mistake, he's still a monster but even then he's nowhere near as bad as most of the other members of the Legion.
- Ultimately Subverted as Bill is able to convince him to adhere to the Legion's overall plan by showing him an alternate future where the Avengers killed him, which prompts him to drop his previous Well-Intentioned Extremist attitude.
- The Dreaded: Like in canon, at least in his Universe.
- Locked Out of the Loop: He's unaware of the Multiversal Convergence, and the other members of the Legion are making sure it remains that way. Until Bill uses the Gem Hourglass to convince him to join in on their plan.
- Unwitting Instigator of Doom: His attempts to balance the Universe wound up causing a Multiversal Convergence that threatens to end all Universes at once.
- Well-Intentioned Extremist: He ultimately seeks to bring about a more prosperous future, even if his methods are very far from correct. And like in canon, it's subverted once Bill convinces him with some time-travel.
Hela
- Demonic Possession: By Scipion, she's eventually freed from it by Valecor.
- Spared by the Adaptation: She seemingly dies at Surtur's sword in Thor: Ragnarok, but here, she is saved by the Legion of Doom before she can get killed.
Grogar's Legion
In General
- Adaptational Badass: Unlike the series, King Sombra remains on the team, as he doesn't get the chance to attack Equestria. Until Season 98, that is.
- Enemy Mine: Decided to form one with the heroes going up against the Legion out of convenience.
- Even Evil Has Standards: They are not on board at all with Grogar's plans on the Multiversal Convergence.
- Spared by the Adaptation: Tirek, Chrysalis and Cozy are petrified as punishment for their actions for eternity. Here they get depowered and instead serve a sentence by solving friendship problems, albeit under a threat of getting a severe punishment (akin to their canon one) should they not comply.
- Teeth-Clenched Teamwork: They just barely work together out of necessity. Likewise with the heroes once they "join" them.
- You Have Outlived Your Usefulness: Grogar deems them to be useless to his plans after he reobtains his full power. And sends them to the arena along with the heroes of AR Equestria (And Gale) to die.
Lord Tirek
A disgraced prince from a distant land, Tirek is a power-hungry centaur who will stop at nothing to eat all the magic he can. He is forced to join Grogar's group and winds up bonding with Cozy Glow.
- Parental Substitute: Reclutantly starts acting as this for Cozy, as he was moved by her backstory of being abandoned by her birth parents. That said, they still bicker with each other a lot. Taken to it's next logical step when Grogar forces him to go undercover to Equestria as one of Cozy's "parents".
Cozy Glow
An evil pegasus filly, she is the youngest member of the Legion, but a cunning strategist.
- Bitch in Sheep's Clothing
- Enfant Terrible: A given with her age.
- Parental Abandonment: Both of her parents abandoned her when she was born, forcing her to grow up in an orphanage, which made her resentful of friendship and good guys giving her a twisted view on those concepts.
Queen Chrysalis
Former Queen of the Changelings race in her world, around Season 40 she obtained a new changeling hive, recovering her status as Queen. Although she still wants her original hive's loyalty back.
- Adaptational Nice Guy: Genuinely cares about her new hive and villain allies to a degree, unlike her canon self.
- Replacement Goldfish: Views her new hive as this, as she still misses her old one, deep down.
- Seen It All: She is unfazed by the Voidlands, claiming she's seen worse.
- Ship Tease: A slight one with Valecor, as she blushes when the latter compliments her appearance.
King Sombra
Later, it turns out he's not the original Sombra.
The former ruler of the Crystal Empire and an Umbrum-turned pony. Unlike in canon, he survives to become a full-fledged (albeit reluctant) member of the Legion. - The Comically Serious: In one of the missions he's sent to, he devises a plan to turn the ponies against each other and laughs evilly... While ordering donuts from Canterlot.
- Fusion Dance: Eventually merges with the Pony of Shadows to grow stronger, but hides this from Grogar.
- Killed Off for Real: Eventually Grogar absorbs his energy back into himself, since this Sombra was just an artificial construct made of dark magic he wound up ceasing to be altogether.
- Spared by the Adaptation: Doesn't get the chance to recklessly attack Equestria like in canon and doesn't die as a result. He does die later on, however it is ZigZagged, as he was merely a copy of the real and reformed Sombra so technically he wasn't even alive to begin with.
Daybreaker
This alternate version of Celestia wound up corrupted by Grogar and reluctantly joining the Legion serving him while plotting to overthrow him.
- First CVG Appearance: [1]
- Deader than Dead: Thanks to Luna's and Giratina's efforts, she ceased to exist altogether.
- We Hardly Knew Ye: Takes Sombra's role of being the first member of the Legion to perish, although in completely different circumstances.
Neoptera
- Adorable Evil Minions: A willing follower of Queen Chrysalis, and cute as buttons.
- Affably Evil: She's polite and nice to her fellow companions, even while plotting against her leader.
- Offscreen Moment of Awesome: Survived the Legion's purge all on her own.
- Original Character: A character made specifically for Convergence.
- Undying Loyalty: To Chrysalis.
Lucemon's Army
Machinedramon
- Attack of the 50-Foot Whatever: Grows to 100 meters tall for his final battle against the heroes.
- Crazy-Prepared: When he sent in Apocalymon to deal with Maleficent's group, he made sure to hide a secret program into it to prevent his data from going to waste or being captured/scanned.
- Last Villain Stand: As the last member of the Legion standing, he tries to take on the weakened heroes but is luckily beaten by the combined efforts of Kamen Rider Diend and Godzilla.
- The Starscream: Betrays Lucemon to the other High Commands.
Lucemon's Other Minions
Lucemon's lesser servants.
- Karmic Death: Use the Legion of Doom's Gauntlet in an attempt to kill Lucemon, which backfires on them as it erases them from existence due to the sheer recoil.
- The Starscream: Betray Lucemon to the other High Commands.
Venomous' Alliance
Professor Venomous/Shadowy Venomous
- Eviler than Thou: He is way more evil than Boxman, to the point that he is on board with the Multiversal Convergence plan. He even begins to recruit the villains of his world to help out with said plan. At least under Shadowy Figure's influence.
- Killed Off for Real: Shadowy Figure's eventual fate.
- Fusion Dance: Like in canon, he merges with Shadowy Figure. They're separated when the heroes raid the Legion's base.
Ms. Cosma
- First CVG Appearance: Post 2054
- Ambiguous Situation: After the Legion's fall, it's unknown if any of her future season appearances are by the same Cosma who was working for it.
- Back from the Dead: Was killed in the Season she was nominated in, but was returned to life by Bale's assistants.
- Co-Dragons: With TKO to Venomous, in her case this trope is played almost literally.
Taurus Bulba/The Steerminator
- First CVG Appearance:' Post 2848
Unaffiliated
Kavaxas
Lord of the Demo-Dragons, who accompanied Valecor in the Voidlands. And was killed when it collapsed.
- Bus Crash: Didn't leave the Voidlands like Chrysalis and was killed when they collapsed.
Smaug
A dragon hailing from Middle Earth, he is a general of the Legion, though he prefers remaining in the base, alone with his treasure horde.
- Killed Off for Real: By Bale.
- Noodle Incident: Ate some of the LOD's staff at some point, forcing the High Commands to find replacements.
Demencia
- First CVG Appearance: Post 29 (Post-Split)
- Killed Offscreen: By the High Commands after their purge.
Audrey II
- Brainwashed and Crazy: By the High Commands to fight the heroes in the world of Steven Universe.
- Curbstomp Battle: He is soundly beaten by the Ember Empress, a Blaziken from Scipion's world, with him not even slowing her down and being forced to retreat very quickly.
- Killed Off for Real: Is destroyed by the Legion of Justice when he's ressurected, empowered and sent to fight them. Any of his future season appearances are assumed to be either a data clone of him or an alt.
Pandora
The goddess of calamity and one of the Legion's enforcers, chosen to invade the Underground.
- Combat Pragmatist: She fought with bombs, traps, and went as far as invocating Ornes, indestructible enemies to protect herself.
- Defiant to the End: When Ori offered forgiveness to her, she instead chose to self-destruct and promises that the High Commands will destroy the heroes.
- Femme Fatale: As Amazon Pandora when she claimed to be more beautiful than Toriel and outright flirted with the two Links.
- Opportunistic Bastard: She's the one who suggested to the High Commands to betray Medusa, although she refused their offers to take her place as one of the Legion's leaders.
Former Members
Invader Zim
The (in)famous alien invader, he joins the Legion in hopes of obtaining control over his Earth.
- The Load: He's not very useful on his own. With his incompetence leading to Tom and Janna escaping from Valecor's Lair and getting his arch-nemesis Dib and the Crystal Gems aware of the Legion's existence.
- In fact, during a trip to attack the Teen Titans Go! universe he got himself involved in a one-sided fight against the Crystal Gems and left GIR behind out of forgetfulness, leading to the Legion's existence being revealed to the Gems.
- Doom Magnet: Just like in canon, but the Legion does end up doing something about it.
- You Have Failed Me: Eventually he winds up executed by the High Commands for all his troubles. He was presumably revived offscreen long after the Legion was defeated when he and Etemon confronted Pythor and Vexus.
Lord Boxman
- Alighter Shade Of Black: He's not on board at all with the Multiversal Convergence Plan due to its ramifications and quits altogether eventually.
- The Bus Came Back: Comes back after a long absence during the events of Season 93, where he meets Mr. Godzilla, who is on the run from the Legion.
- Screw This, I'm Outta Here: When Professor Venomous reveals he'll rather stay in the Legion and follow through with the Convergence plan, he breaks up with him and gets kicked out of both the Legion and his company, Boxmore, in response. Afterwards he simply leaves the Legion out of grief.
Sir Pentious
A demon snake hailing from Hazbin Hotel like Alastor. He was recruited into the Legion due to his performance in the Season that he got 3rd place in, but soon fell out of favor with them and was eventually kicked out.
- Noodle Incident: Managed to anger Shadowy Venomous enough that the latter fired him from the base quite literally by shooting him into space.
- Thrown Out the Airlock: His final fate, though he didn't die but is now left in the vacuum of space with no way back home.
Lucemon
The Lord of Evil Digimon
- The Bad Guy Wins: Successfully conquers the Digi-World he hailed from.
- Subverted, however, as the Royal Knights are still alive by the end of the LOD Arc and Lucemon loses much of his forces in the arc's process, forcing him to retreat to the Dark Area with what little forces and power he still has.
- Cessation of Existence: When the Legion begins their plan, he is erased by their efforts with the Ultimate Gauntlet. Though he comes back to life at the end of the Arc
- Rage Against the Heavens: According to his own words, this is the reason he fell from grace.
- Revenge: Against Yggdrasil, who attempted to delete him from the Digi-World and several other fallen Digimon like him. He eventually succeeds in defeating and killing him, fulfilling this.
- His attempt on the Legion's High Commands wasn't as successful, however.
- The Starscream: Plotted to overthrow Nightmare before the latter ordered the purge of most of the LOD, forcing him to make a run for it.
- They Killed Kenny Again: Due to being nominated twice so far after joining the Legion and failed to win both times, he's died a total of two times. Of course, being a Digimon means Death Is Cheap for him. With the sole exception being the Ultimate Gauntlet's kill of him, although it wound up reversed.
- Unholy Matrimony: With Lilithmon.
- You Have Outlived Your Usefulness: Gets pulled on him by the High Commands, just like with Medusa. Nightmare later states that this is because he plotted to overthrow the Legion and stop their plans for the sake of his own.
Lilithmon
The Demon Lord of Lust, as well as Lucemon's Lover and second-in command.
- Adaptation Name Change: Goes by her original Japanese name in the RPs instead of her English name "Laylamon".
- Back from the Dead: Comes back to life at the end of the Legion of Doom Arc, through the heroes restoring the Universes.
- Cessation of Existence: When the Legion begins their plan, she is erased by their efforts.
- The Dragon: Whenever Lucemon's unavailable she's in charge. Regularly she serves as his second in-command.
- Dub Name Change: Goes by her original Japanese name instead of "Laylamon", her name in the English dub.
- Know When to Fold 'Em: Like Lucemon, she decides the experiences with the Legion were too much for them to handle and go into hiding once they realize most of their armies are destroyed and that their arch-enemies are hunting them down.
- Together in Death: Holds on to Lucemon on their last moments before they're wiped out of existence.
- Undying Loyalty: She's eternally loyal to Lucemon, even carrying his Digitama whenever he gets regressed to it.
- Likewise, she sides with him when the other High Commands betray him.
- Unholy Matrimony: With Lucemon.
TKO
Venomous' son, KO, who was overtaken by his dark side. He is recruited by his father at some unknown point to join the Legion.
- Enfant Terrible: Is an Ax-Crazy villain who is nonetheless 6-11 years old.
- Heel–Face Turn: Like in canon, he gets convinced of being one and the same with KO and merges with him permanently as a hero.
