    Seth Stiles

Seth Stiles

Faction: Höchste Einmal

Armor: The Chariot of Fire

Born in 1997, Seth Stiles has never known a world without the Eldritchians attacking earth. When he was eleven, an Eldritchian known as Flash of Wrath attacked Las Vegas, severely wounding Seth with shrapnel to the point where he needed cybernetic augmentation. This incident motivated him to come to Albion and learn to design and pilot mechs. Now that he has one of his own, he's decided to join up with Einmal and fight back against the menace that altered his life forever.

Tropes pertaining to Seth Stiles

  • Artificial Limbs: His arms and legs were partially roboticized in order to repair injuries he suffered in an Eldritchian attack.
  • Guns Akimbo: Can do this outside his mech, thanks to the guns he owns.
  • Immigrant Parents: Both of his parents are immigrants to the United States, but they're from different countries.
  • Mark of the Supernatural: Mark of the technologicaly, actually since his eyes are cybernetic, and their color is the main outward hint that Seth is a cyborg.
  • Super-Reflexes: The primary benefit of his cybernetics is how quickly he can react to external stimuli.
  • Teen Genius: He was allowed to build his mech as a reward for his high marks.

Tropes pertaining to the Chariot of Fire

    Drexus Araxys

Drexus Araxys

Faction: CACHE
Armor: Forrest Reaper
He was a young child aboard the Skyblazer ship that originally crashed on Earth. As he was about 9 years old when the first Eldritchian attackec and thus old enough to remember the full horror of it. He reached pilot mastery of his Gigan, and thus adulthood by Skyblazer culture, by the tender age of 14. Afterwards, he became a valuable pilot in the service of CACHE.

Tropes pertaining to Drexus Araxys

  • Berserk Button: Has two of them: Endangeroing any manner of wildlife, specailly if the agressor is an Eldritchian and members of his species subjecting themselves to most types of mechanical augmentation.
  • Curtains Match the Window: He has both green hair and green eyes.
  • Elemental Hair Colors: As expected of his species, his hair color indicates what element he can control with his psychic powers. In this case, green means having power over plant plant matter.
  • Fantastic Racism: Doiesn't take kindly to members of his own species using mechanical augmentation on their bodies and feels uncomfortable around synthetical forms of life.
  • Friendto All Living Things: Pretty much the only green haried Skyblazer stereotype that he fulffils. He is deeply connected to all osrts of terrestrian wildlife, mostly plants as expected. There's no quicker ot anger him that attackiing or recklessly endangering such life.

Shina Weil & Sethlans "Lance" Polioso

Shina & Lance

Faction: Seed Esper
Armor: Sage Harpy / Toushou Fafnir

Tropes pertaining to Shina & Lance as a Pair

  • Battle Couple: They're girlfriend and boyfriend, and they will defend their other half viciously.

Tropes pertaining to Shina Weil

  • Dual Wielding: She has two Chinese butterfly swords that she can use rather well.
  • Half-Human Hybrid: Her father is human, while her mother is a Sapien. Though it's hard to tell since she takes more after her mother.

Tropes pertaining to Sethlans "Lance" Polioso

Tropes pertaining to Sage Harpy (AGI and Armor)

  • Ace Custom: Built specifically for her by her father.

Tropes pertaining to Toushou Fafnir (AGI and Armor)

  • Ace Custom: Upgraded from its original purpose of being essentially a fire truck to be more combat orientated.
  • Blood Knight: More obviously than Shina or Lance.
  • Playing with Fire: His cannons can spit fireballs out of them.
  • Shout-Out: His name comes from Fighting Fefnir's japanese name, while his design is inspired by Fefnir's Armed Phenomenon form.

CACHE

    In General

CACHE

Starting out as a research group formed by the United Nations for the express purpose of studying the Meteorite Technology, the pseudo-CACHE was never meant as a military force. However, meant to safeguard and moderate new Meteorite discoveries, the pseudo-CACHE was thus forced to become humanity's defenders. Now an international peacekeeping organization, CACHE uses their studies of the Twin Meteorites and the Eldritchians to advance science, to better protect & benefit the people of Earth.
  • Bunny-Ears Lawyer: CACHE has absolutely no qualms hiring otherwise eccentric individuals if they're competent at their intended job, even more or less deliberately filled with eccentrics back when researching the Meteorite Technology was their only concern. Even in the modern day it isn't unusual to find openly awkward CACHE employees. Though, this combined with their occasional habit of recruiting directly from prison has been used against CACHE by their detractors.
  • Creating Life: Perhaps the most common and important of CACHE's various experimentation is the production of varying forms of lifeforms, most famously known for creating Artificial General Intelligences. Though, given how important it is moderating Meteorite Technology and how Seelies are designed, the majority of their pilots (and a fair deal of their employees overall) are in fact artificial lifeforms themselves.
  • Mildly Military: CACHE was never meant as an actual military force, thus was originally only staffed by researchers, assigned security agents, and the various artificial lifeforms they ended up creating. However, given the need for out-of-the-box thinking and ease of inter-cultural interaction, there was never an overly complex or rigid set of rules for CACHE to follow. Thus, even in its modern form, CACHE is still relatively casual and simple compared to real militaries.
  • Organic Technology: Following the introduction to the Skyblazers' Gigans and the bizarre biology of the Eldritchians, CACHE has been making increasing use of technologically applied biology- Most prominently the Seelie Armors and Shackled Faerie gadgetry.

    Alison Anderson

Alison Anderson

Race: Human(?)
Armor: N/A
Having been working for CACHE for little over eighteen years, Alison is a tough and guff woman- In fact, implying she should act more feminine is the easiest way to make her mad. Still, she wholeheartedly believes in CACHE's goals, using her time and energy to design/test new weapons & educate people on piloting. Thus, one used to her grumpy and focused personality would be surprised by how genuinely passionate she can be about Armor usage.
  • Ambiguously Human: Though Alison seems to be a woman in her twenties, that's also how she looked when joining CACHE so long ago. With her unknown history, some tend to wonder if she's really a human or not. Ultimately though she insists she is and nobody has sufficiently managed to prove otherwise.
  • Berserk Button: Insisting she should be more feminine or being shamed for her unfemininity. She'll actually viciously mock Girly Girl elements given long enough, though her speech and body language will eventually degenerate into Angrish if extremely offended or has her button pushed too much. What'll instantly drive her to rage though is asking if she is (intending to be) a mother.
  • Multiple-Choice Past: Something she plays for laughs, Alison occasionally goes along with someone's guesses about her past, gleefully paying no attention to consistency to see how long it takes for someone to notice. Though she commonly just spins something up on the spot, she does have some favored backgrounds, such as "being a teen genius' protector gynoid", "an Emotional Enigma Fey Touched who fought for good", "abused child wanting to force heaven on earth", and "champion of a slave blood sport".
  • Mysterious Past: Nobody really knows anything about Alison before she joined CACHE, the earliest known event being her working around not mentioning her past. While initially people were rather suspicious of her, nowadays nobody really bothers her about it. Still, she tends to get cranky the longer and more persistent someone's questions about her past become.
  • Petite Pride: Takes great pride in lacking "endowment", though to the extent she's dismissive of A-Cup Angst, even getting viciously mocking certain chest sizes.
  • Significant Green-Eyed Redhead: Pretty much the second most notable thing about her from a glance is her green eyes and red hair, with her having a prominent role in CACHE to boot.

    Evelyn Madeline

Evelyn Madeline

Race: Artificial Fae (Gen 0)
Armor: N/A

  • Monster Progenitor: Indirectly responsible for every Artificial and Synthetic Fae existing, her successful blend of human & Eldritchian being studied to make them.

    Gerald Long

Gerald Long

Race: Human
Armor: N/A

  • Embarrassing Nickname: "Corpse Digger" which is not taken humorously, as Gerald hates that past and prefers it being forgotten.
  • From Nobody to Nightmare: Was originally just a run-of-the-mill, if excited, experimenter before his brother's death. Following that he became a specialist in creative science, and in the process robbed numerous graves & ended up killing dozens of artificial lifeforms in his attempts to perfect "Necromancy".
  • Necromantic: His sole motivation in becoming the "Corpse Digger", wanting to resurrect his dead little brother.
  • Old Shame: His work as the "Corpse Digger", a period of madness fueled by grief over his younger brother's death. Gerald is not proud of how cruel he was, and avoids making contact with any of his surviving experiments.

Höchste Einmal

    In General

Höchste Einmal

Meaning "Highest Once", Einmal was put together with how Alten refugees revealed their presence to humanity. Motivated by the destruction and slaughter of their people to aid humanity, they rejected CACHE upon the UN giving approval to using Eldritchian biology- Thus becoming CACHE's "opposite" to a degree. Wishing to wipe out the scourge that is the Eldritchians, Einmal is thus a beacon for everyone who despises the abominations. Yet, being helmed by four members of an intellectual race, Einmal is also an organization favoring intellect- Willing, even if reluctantly, to allow Fey Touched to provide them aid.
  • Creating Life: Though not as extremely as CACHE, Einmal is no stranger to the production of artificial lifeforms- Even having their own special class of artificial lifeforms (Seekers), and being able to construct AGI of their own. Still, if it isn't Seeker-related, then Einmal won't really do much.
  • Fantastic Racism: Most people who join do so because of their hatred of the Eldritchians, wishing for the eradication of that blight on existence. Unfortunately, this means more extreme members react negatively to Fey Touched and even Modders & Arts who's creation was derived from the genetic bridging abilities of Eldritchian biology. However in general Einmal is supportive of genetic & cybernetic modification, though is more variant in opinion when it comes to the various forms of artificial life.

    Ashley Edwards

Ashley Edwards

Race: Seeker (Artificial Cyborg)
Armor:
  • Bizarre Human Biology: Has eyes hidden under her skin, auxiliary brains in her chest, and a host of other deviations from standard humans.

    Rebecca "Bonnie" Bonnet

Rebecca Bonnet

Race: Human
Armor:
Born only two years before the Eldritchian threat, Rebecca never knew a world without them. Yet, instead of her parents teaching her fear, Rebecca was caught to shrug off conflict and to separate her emotions from reason. Though hardly a loner, her ability to be nonchalant about tragedies caused her difficulty in keeping friends. However, upon becoming mother to a Fey Touched child, Rebecca knew what she had to do- Help eliminate the Eldritchians so that nobody would need to worry about infection ever again.
  • Action Mom: Is a proud mother of a 2nd generation Fey Touched daughter, and also a dedicated agent of Einmal. Though she primarily acts as an Armor pilot, Rebecca also regularly operates as a field agent and enforcer of Einmal security.
  • Artificial Limbs: Lost her arms and legs in an unspecified accident, having had them replaced with obviously mechanical limbs willfully.
  • Berserk Button: Implying or outright saying someone is "supposed" to be traumatized easily makes Rebecca angry, pointing out how such a mindset is dangerous and harmful to others.

Seed Esper

    In General

Seed Esper

Originally formed for the express purpose of researching Psychics and their potential applications, Seed Esper was ultimately forced to branch out as they lost funding. Now famously known as a transhumanist Armor designing Defictionalizer organization, Seed Esper has a hand in just about any commercial avenue of product selling. Yet at their heart they're still researchers, proficient in specializing things to an individual and experts on Psychic Mutation. Though, lacking the resources of CACHE & Einmal, Seed is less-than-picky about who they sell to in order to have the funds for their research.
  • Psychic Powers: The whole reason Seed Esper was even formed, let alone continue to exist! Of the Big Three Seed Esper is also the best equipped at dealing with Psychics, having even made the Espers precisely to improve on Psychics. Though, while the majority of Seed Esper's staff may not have psychic abilities naturally, the prevalence of Psych Devices allows them to make up for it.

    Amanda Neil

Amanda Neil

Race: Gynoid
Armor: N/A

  • Ridiculously Human Robot: To such an extent she's indistinguishable from a human and mistaken easily as one to those who don't know the truth.

    Gabriel Jones

Gabriel Jones

Race: Fey Touched Human
Armor: Crimson Exosso

  • Bad with the Bone: The result of getting corrupted by Skeletal Conqueror's body, Gabriel is able to generate new bone from his right arm primarily. Gabriel primarily fights with his ability by firing spikes, though regularly creates clubs and swords for melee combat- Assuming he doesn't just cover his arm in bone and punch, that is.

    Lucas Perkins

Lucas Perkins

Race: Human
Armor:

  • Cool Big Sis: Utterly adores hanging out with her younger sister Jenny, generally being on her best behavior. Lucas also tends to get sisterly over her good friends.
  • Gender-Blender Name: Was willfully named Lucas despite being a girl, getting her name from her older brother Luke.

    Melinda Ingress

Melinda Ingress

Race: Human/Esper Hybrid
Armor: N/A
Though at first glance this young lady doesn't seem like anything special, she is in fact living proof Esper abilities can be inherited. However, becoming a mother at a young age to an artificially made daughter, Melinda has held serious issues against her own mother ever since. Still, genuinely respected by Seed Esper, Melinda quickly found herself becoming an expert on Psychic Mutations. Thus, working alongside her "project buddy" Ryan Steele, Melinda regularly helps designs new Psych Devices.
  • Absurdly Youthful Mother: Was only five years old when her artificial daughter was made. Add in the fact she's technically now a great-great-grandmother at the mere age of twenty, this is a major source of her personal issues.
  • Blue-and-Orange Morality: Growing up with the oddity of her personal life
  • Child by Rape: Subverted, both in how she was conceived and how she became a mother. Whilst people may think hypnosis equals mind control, her mother was genuinely intrigued by the idea of having an Esper's child. As for Melinda herself, Seed Esper simply took genetic samples from her to make her daughter, though given she was created without Melinda's consent can make it count nonetheless.
  • Compelling Voice: Though inferior to her Gen 1 Esper father, Melinda is able to influence people to perform an action so long as they already want to on some level. Thus while Melinda can't blatantly force people to do whatever, she is capable of defusing or changing a person's action if given enough time.
  • Odd Friendship: With Ryan Steele, her difficulty emoting and interest in Psychic studies thematically clashing with his cheerfulness & mechanical zeal.

    Trisha Mallard

Trisha Mallard

Race: Psychic Human
Armor: N/A
Born to a teen mom and promptly shoved off onto her then-fourteen year old father upon the realization of her disabilities, Trisha was extremely uncomfortable by her combined blindness, clumsiness, and inability to feel pain. Initially thrilled upon manifesting her ESP, Trisha finally broke down upon realizing how dangerous it is overexerting her power. Yet instead of having to endanger her own life to live normally, with proof she's Psychic her father proceeded to work for Seed Esper. Regretting how she forced her father's hand, Trisha regularly helps around Seed Esper to make it up.
  • The Atoner: Though she was never much of a brat, Trisha feels guilty about being unable to cope with her situation, prompting her father to move them to Elysium. Thus, Trisha regularly finds herself offering her aid to others and dutifully putting up with her medical tests.
  • Daddy's Girl: Highly adores her father, partially out of respect for being there for her and partially because he's her best friend. She tends to get scared by the idea of him dating though, fearing the loss of his friendship and commitment to her.
  • Feel No Pain: One of the consequences of her Psychic Mutations, Trisha is unable to register pain at all. Thus, combined with her blindness and clumsiness, regularly resulted in her getting injured enough to warrant medical attention.
  • Missing Mom: Was willfully abandoned by her mother due to her disabilities, and thus really doesn't (want to) know anything about her.
  • Powered Armor: Wears a relatively simple Personal Aegis structure to work around her poor motor skills, the machinery laid over her normal clothing. Though, other than being able to move her and being how she accesses VARsystems, Trisha's Personal Aegis isn't meant for dangerous situations at all.
  • Psychic Nosebleed: Indicator that she's been taxing her ESP, the result of nasal capillaries rupturing.

Eldritchians

    In General

Eldritchians

Strange alien creatures heralding from an unknown galaxy if not universe, who have been wiping out other species and found their way to Earth by trailing fleeing Skyblazers. Possessed with incomprehensible abilities and a drive to finish what they started, the Eldritchians are the greatest threat humanity has ever encountered.
  • Aliens Speaking English: Averted mostly, as while their unpredictable nature means some Eldritchians could possess vocal cords capable of humanoid speech or just have telepathy, most are incapable of little more than bizarre sounds and screeches.
  • Attack of the 50-Foot Whatever: The majority of Eldritchians stand tall enough to merit the use of proper Armors, the bigger ones indeed being around the fifty-foot range. However sometimes an Eldritchian is smaller than that, with the latest example being the twenty foot tall Skeletal Conqueror. Nonetheless, rarely is an Eldritchian too small for Armors to fight.
  • Damage-Sponge Boss: More because of their sheer size than anything else most of the time, it'll take days trying to kill an Eldritchian conventionally. Even with Armors though an Eldritchian won't go down easily, taking at the very least half an hour and regularly lasting several hours.
  • Eldritch Abomination: Named Eldritchians in reference to The Fair Folk, one would be forgiven for thinking these bizarre alien creatures are a coalition of species instead of a singular one. Their shared biology alone allows them to mutagenically alter other species through liquid contact or consumption, bond & bridge together otherwise incompatible genetic code, and even pass on their memories. That's not even getting into the kinds of things an Eldritchian can do, such as manipulate the fundamental forces of electrical attraction (Rage Diver, Spatial Render), easily generate new fully weaponized mass (Icicle Dancer, Skeletal Conqueror), and even affect minds (Psyche Splitter, Anti-Soul Behemoth). How they even exist at all tends to be a rage inducing point for more fragile and scientifically rigid individuals.
  • Hero Killer: Whether they be Armor (pilots) or not, the Eldritchians have cause the death or at the very least crippling of many heroes, the most standout example perhaps being the Wunderwaffen Zero Lament.
  • Hidden Agenda Villain: Possible, as while it is clear they want to eliminate the Skyblazers and will slaughter any that gets in their way, the surprising peacefulness of imprisoned Eldritchians calls into question what's actually going on. Whether this be a case of Blue-and-Orange Morality, Graceful Loser, or something else is uncertain- Yet with some peculiar behavior observed, the question of why the Eldritchians commit their genocide goes unanswered.
  • Person of Mass Destruction: Many Eldritchians, even ones classified as Jesters, regularly end up causing massive property damage through their size alone. Even with all the technological advancements there'll be at least some destruction, though perhaps the most infamous destructive Eldritchian would be Rage Diver.
  • Random Species Offspring: Though they all share enough genetic design to count as a single species instead of a collective, the improbability of a species producing humanoid/animalistic/plant-like & other really makes people want to just label them a collective instead for simplicity's sake. Yet from what few Natural Fae there are, this truly is in effect.
  • Super-Persistent Predator: They managed to follow the Skyblazers all the way to Earth, a trip that took forty years, and they keep coming even after twenty one years of them being consistently killed or imprisoned by Earth's inhabitants.
  • Superpower Russian Roulette: Though many Eldritchians manage to cause undeniable destruction, it is unmistakable how truly random their biological nature is. So while some are indeed Eldritchians of Mass Destruction, others are... Less fortunate.
  • Unpredictable Results: With no way to predict an Eldritchian's biology, more esoteric options have been carefully considered after events where an Eldritchian got stronger being attacked, such as a nuclear attack causing one to develop Telekinesis and a failed biological attack turning a former Jester into a member of the Unseelie Court. Yet, on the other hand, otherwise unstoppable Eldritchians ended up having a crippling weakness discovered because of these more esoteric options. Thus, while there is risk an attack might just make an Eldritchian stronger, the just as likely possibility of an attack being its weakness makes this a justifiable risk.

    Blackwood

Blackwood

Threat: Unseelie Court
Type: Undying Bio/Elemental

  • Green Thumb: Was capable of generating entire forests, regularly growing trees from underneath its targets.
  • Healing Factor: Almost From a Single Cell levels, being able to regenerate from small chunks even as its body got destroyed.
  • Hero Killer: Zero Lament died in the process of killing this Eldritchian.
  • Mook Maker: An extension of its Green Thumb abilities, Blackwood was capable of generating intelligent plant-based lifeforms to fight for it, though surprisingly enough these aren't Eldritchians.

    Emotional Enigma

Emotional Enigma

Threat: Unseelie Court
Type: Hybrid Bio/Elemental

  • Emotion Eater: Rather literally, feeding on the biological processes that cause emotion in organic lifeforms.

    Icicle Dancer

Icicle Dancer

Threat: Unseelie Court
Type: Bio/Psychic
One of the more recent and more devastating Eldritchians to attack, landing in Hawaii in 2010 and slaughtering thousands, including ten of the twelve pilots sent to stop it.
  • Greivous Harm With A Body: The pieces of it that came off turned into storms of sharp objects.
  • Healing Factor: Those parts were then replaced quickly. Combined with the power above, the result was an incredibly dangerous Eldritchian.

    Inferus Dreamer

Inferus Dreamer

Threat: Warrior
Type: Elemental/Psychic

  • Desperation Attack: Its control over fire while unconscious seemed to be a last-ditch form of self-defense.
  • Meaningful Name: Inferus Dreamer, for its pyrokinetic abilities and how it could defend itself even unconscious.
  • Playing with Fire: Possessed the ability to vibrate molecules until they burst into flames, controlling the flames remotely. Though curiously, it lacked a perfect immunity to fire and could only control flames it generated. However, perhaps most interesting is how it could control fire even unconscious.

    Lux Sniper

Lux Sniper

Threat: Warrior
Type: Bio/Elemental/Psychic
Generously describable as "avian", the Lux Sniper would of been a relatively unremarkable encounter- Hovering in the sky, causing blind destruction. Yet, the Lux Sniper has the "honor" of being the first Eldritchian to survive and escape humanity's attacks. Though it has yet to reappear in these fifteen years, some worry just what'll happen if it does.
  • Attack Its Weak Point: Seemingly the case, as it reflexively covered the hunch on its back, thus causing the pilots to target it. The Lux Sniper however did manage to escape with the hunch intact.
  • Giant Flyer: Most certainly, complete with a fifty foot wingspan.
  • Meaningful Name: Lux Sniper, for having primarily attacked with light high above Elysium.
  • Multi-Armed and Dangerous: The true nature of its wings, unfolding to reveal they were a massive series of arms, which it used to envelop the attacking Armors and attempt to crush them.
  • Light 'em Up: The primary way it fought, raining down beams of light, though fortunately it apparently needed to charge up an attack first.

    Melty Bomb

Melty Bomb

Threat: Warrior
Type: Bio/Psychic

  • Action Bomb: Primarily how it fought, blowing up parts of itself.

    Psyche Splitter

Psyche Splitter

Threat: Unseelie Court
Type: Undying Psychic/Bio

  • Psychic Powers: Capable of making people black out and taking over their minds.
  • The Virus: At least 25 people have been mentally taken over by fragments of the Psyche Splitter's consciousness, with over 100 casualties resulting from such incidents.

    Rage Diver

Rage Diver

Threat: Warrior
Type: Physical/Elemental
The very first Eldritchian to touch down on Earth, everyone knows about this abomination. From the sheer destruction it caused, to proving the need for a more effective disposal method, and for igniting Human/Skyblazer racial tensions- Nobody will be forgetting how this animalistic Eldritchian tore through New York, reacting with mere annoyance at the attacks fired against it.
  • Bizarre Alien Senses: Has the ability to sense electricity, which seems to be how it managed to pinpoint Skyblazers to murder.
  • Death of a Thousand Cuts: Ultimately how it was slain, succumbing to its accumulating wounds and loss of blood after three days. Nonetheless, given it technically died on its own and how long this took, nobody was really comforted by using this as a go-to method.
  • Dishing Out Dirt: To some extent, as it used its ability to manipulate electrical attraction to manipulate physical matter, typically resulting in it turning roads into fields of spikes.
  • Knight of Cerebus: In-Universe, as while Earth wasn't entirely perfect and peaceful, it was ultimately very calm. Yet with its arrival, the unstopping monstrosity of its actions, the sheer destruction... Humanity was thrown into chaos, worry, panic and fear of what'll happen if more showed up. In addition, given how it actively hunted Skyblazers, its presence also soured humanity's opinion of the refugee species.
  • Lightning Brusier: For a creature its size Rage Diver was surprisingly fast, and not-so-surprisingly terrifyingly strong too. Thus, a berserk abomination easily zipping all around, destroying entire roads and buildings almost casually.
  • Meaningful Name: Rage Diver, for how extremely angry it was and the frequency of which it dug beneath the surface.
  • Mind over Matter: Possessed the ability to manipulate electrical attraction, which it used to augment its strength, durability and speed as well as tunnel so easily.

    Skeletal Conqueror

Skeletal Conqueror

Threat: Warrior
Type: Bio

    Spatial Render

Spatial Render

Threat: Warrior
Type: Elemental

  • Flight: Capable of moving through the air under its own power,
  • Humanoid Abomination: Adopted a humanoid-like form once it touched down on the ground, but make no mistake, this was an Eldritchian through and through.
  • Voluntary Shapeshifting: Achieved through total control of its electrical bonds.
