Mario, Luigi, and their fellow protagonists have faced many dastardly villains over the many years of their existence, whether it be King Bowser Koopa, ruler of the Koopa Kingdom, trying out his latest plot to kidnap Princess Peach and take over the Mushroom Kingdom, or a new villain with their own plans. Although Bowser is the Arch-Enemy of Mario, there are other villains as well to deal with, and even Bowser will often try different plots with each game. Given that Super Mario Bros. is the biggest Long Runner in gaming history, its no surprise that there are many Big Bads.
