  • In Adventure Time, Finn comments after his first meeting with Flame Princess— who demonstrates that she is both literally and figuratively Hot-Blooded— "I think I have a crush!" Later, he gets very... excited... when he sees her beat up the Ice King.
  • American Dragon: Jake Long: During "Ski Trip", Jake, Spud and Trixie walk in Rose, Jake's love interest, doing pull ups. This is before Jake found out Rose is the Huntsgirl, so all he can do is be excited that Rose is "totally buff".
  • Avatar franchise:
    • Avatar: The Last Airbender: Sokka (eventually) becomes attracted to Suki in part because she's such an excellent fighter.
(Watching Suki beat up a bunch of firebenders and capture the Warden.)
      Hakoda: "That's some girl!"
Sokka: (smitten) "Tell me about it..."
    • The Legend of Korra: The fishmonger Korra comes across in "Korra Alone" tells her that he liked meeting her and Aang but that he'd really like to have met Kyoshi because she took down a shark squid with one hand.
  • In Castlevania, Trevor initially thought Sypha was annoying and bickered with her, then she saved him from a angry crowd with her fire magic and he quickly became much nicer to her. By the end of Season 2, Trevor admits he never felt happier when he's with her and they become a couple.
Trevor: You never told me you were a magician.
    Sypha: You never asked.
  • Downplayed in Code Lyoko. Ulrich and William are both clearly attracted to Yumi at least in part because of her Action Girl status; she and Ulrich even had their first meeting at a martial arts class.
  • Danny Phantom:
    • Danny's response to Sam's concerns about him Dating Catwoman? "I know [Valerie] wants to waste Danny Phantom... but did you know that she's a ninth-degree black belt?"
      • In "Memory Blank" after he and Tucker lose their memories of Sam, his reaction to seeing her take down a ghost single handedly is to call her “the coolest girl on the planet.”
    • This seems to run in the family. In the Christmas Episode, Maddie finds out that Danny is in trouble, grabs a weapon and jump-kicks out the window to rescue him. Jack's response: "Oh man that is hot!"
  • Zig-Zagged in The Dragon Prince. Callum falls in love with Rayla because she is kindhearted and has saved several people with her exploits. But its thanks to her combat skills that she was able to accomplish said exploits. His Aunt Amaya on the other hand, her romance began with Janai because she was her equal as a warrior, and when Janai proposes to her in Book 4, she likewise confirms she loves her because Amaya is a beast.
  • DuckTales (2017): Donald has a lovestruck smile on his face after seeing Daisy being able to knock out Falcon Graves.
  • Fangface, as revealed in the episode "Begone, You Amazon".
That's my specialty: big powerful mean-lookin' Amazon types!
  • Fry, of Futurama has shades of this, both in his relationship with Action Girl Leela, and the fact that any time he's talking to the literal Amazons, there's flirting involved. Occasionally in both directions.
Amazon: "Hello tiny man. You want sample small batch Amazonian maple syrup?"
Fry: "Sure." (has sample squeezed directly into his mouth, wrung from a tree as if it were a wet rag) "That's the kind of sap I like."
Amazon: "You the kind of sap I like."
    Fry: "I'm scare-roused."
  • Generator Rex: While Dr. Holiday rarely throws down outside of her Mama Bear tendencies, there was a particularly epic moment she got where she saved Agent Six and Rex by rapid-firing at a huge monster, driving it back. Six's gobsmacked expression said it all as this also seemed to be the point where Six started returning Holiday's interest in him.
    Six: Wow.
    Rex: Yeah.
  • Godzilla: The Series: Randy has had it hard for Monique since the moment they met. Bare in mind that, when they met, the lights were off and she had just judo flipped him on to the floor.
  • The Gravity Falls episode "Northwest Mansion Mystery" had Mabel and her friends fighting over a young Austrian baron, who to their surprise ignores Mabel and Asian and Nerdy Candy entirely to ask out Brawn Hilda Grenda.
  • Justice League:
    • Wonder Woman may be one of the most powerful superheroes of all, and it apparently doesn't discourage most men lusting after her, including a DC Animated Universe version of Hugh Hefner. Even in a Time Travel story into The Wild West, the most significant reaction to her incredible power is from Bat Lash, a self-styled ladies man who notes admiringly, "That's a healthy gal!"
    • The Shade was noticeably pleased when he was picked up by Giganta when Gorilla Grodd invited him to be part of the Secret Society.
      Giganta: The name's Giganta.
      Shade: Appropriate.
Giganta: It's not a problem for you is it?
      Shade: Quite the opposite.
  • Kaeloo: Mr. Cat is much more attracted to Kaeloo when she's done Hulking Out, and on some occasions even seems to actually want her to beat him up.
  • Kim Possible:
    • Ron. Of his two major love interests one is a ninja and the other is the show's heroine.
    • Motor Ed hits on Shego even more persistently after she lets him have it with a plasma blast.
  • In The Loud House, Lincoln Loud has come to appreciate Ronnie Anne's rough way of showing affection. Of course, since they're preteens, they'll repeatedly deny being in a relationship deeper than Just Friends.
  • It'd probably be easier to list male characters who aren't Amazon Chasers in Maya and the Three:
    • The cowardly magic-user Rico is immediately smitten by Master Archer Chimi, even as she attacks him and Maya during their first meeting.
    • Cabrakan, the God of Earthquakes, is married to Cipactli, the Goddess of Alligators, and they fight side by side.
    • King Teca adores his wife, and makes it clear that he appreciates her strength and skill in battle. He was also seduced by Lady Micte after she fought him disguised as a human and proved to be an equal in strength to him, and the tension turned into something more.
    • Zatz is initially introduced in a relationship with Acat, a powerful goddess, though it's clear that their relationship isn't going to last much longer. Instead, Zatz quickly becomes fascinated with Maya, admiring both her strength in battle— which she proves in a one-on-one fight with him where they're both clearing having the time of their lives— as well as her noble qualities, in contrast to Acat.
Zatz: Princess Maya is different, Father, you should have seen her! Courageous! And... loyal! And... beautiful.
  • In the two part origins episode of Miraculous Ladybug, Adrien (appearing as Cat Noir) promptly falls for Ladybug after she rescues his classmates and stands up to the Big Bad.
  • Texas might be this in Motorcity. He's shown a bit of a fondness for Kaia, as well as Julie after watching her fight robots in "Off the Rack." So far, he hasn't shown to chase any of the actual "Amazons" in the show.
  • My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic:
    • In "Simple Ways", Trenderhoof becomes attracted to Applejack both for her simple farm life (which he considers refreshing since he's often surrounded by rich snobs), and her incredible strength. A jealous Rarity tries miserably to imitate Applejack, but can't get his attention. Applejack doesn't return his feelings, as his attempts to woo her make him seem like a stalker. And has some possible racial themes as he specifically points out being attracted to "the work ethic of earth ponies."
    • In "She's All Yak", Sandbar asks Yona to the Amity Ball and, while he never outright says it's because of her hulking yakness he makes it clear he prefers that over any of her attempts at coming off as delicate and high-classed.
  • Luz Noceda from The Owl House. Being bisexual, she isn't solely attracted to just tough girls (going through the list of people she's shown attraction to over the course of the series, her type seems to be more along the lines of "cool and classy"), but the first time she ever blushes at her future girlfriend Amity is when the latter protects her from getting killed by an Abomaton in "Escaping Expulsion". This goes both ways, as Amity blushes in "Reaching Out" when Luz makes her Big Entrance to the Bonesborough Brawl.
  • In Pucca, Pucca's friend Ching has a massive crush on the local Bruce Lee Clone Abyo and attempts to play the Deliberately Distressed Damsel role so he'll go save her. All of these plans fail, and for worse Abyo is kidnapped at the end of the last one. So Ching decides to fix this via slashing her way with her twin swords... and not only Abyo is rescued, but he's totally captivated by how she's "the coolest girl ever".
  • Rahan: Rahan, Enok and Darrow all fall for Noama, one of the best hunters of the Wolf Clan.
  • Samurai Jack: Jack's enemy turned ally, Ashi, is an assassin who is closest to him in combat and can fight off even hordes of an army. He falls in love with her.
  • She-Ra and the Princesses of Power has a rare female example in Adora, who is a lesbian, and clearly likes her some muscle development, especially if the muscular woman is purple-skinned: Huntara temporarily robs her of the capacity for rational thought, and when she gets a Bear Hug from another beefy purple woman, she gets some really interesting facial expressions and starts blushing. And then there's the way she reacts to watching her Love Interest Catra slice through solid steel bare-handed...
    • Perfuma also seems to have a fondness for muscular women, seeing Love Bubbles the first time she witnesses Adora transforming into She-Ra and referring to the brawny Huntara as a "desert rose." Most tellingly, she becomes Scorpia's strongest supporter in Season 5, and the series finale heavily implies that the two become an Official Couple.
    • Huntara appears to be this as she was flirting with a very muscular waitress before Adora interrupted her.
  • Homer Simpson is one. When Marge muscled up, he found it quite attractive. At first.
  • Space Pirate Captain Hondo Ohnaka from Star Wars: The Clone Wars used to date Aurra Sing, one of the cruelest Bounty Hunters in the Galaxy, and even long after they broke up, he was very enthusiastic when he told her in her face what a dangerous woman she is. He also immediately tried to hit on Steela Gerrera, leader of the Onderon resistance fighters when they met in during a battle. Later he used a rather creepy, flirtatious tone when talking to Ahsoka before and after he captured her, during his attempt to steal the lightsaber crystals of the Jedi Younglings she was protecting at the time.
  • Teen Titans: According to Robin, some of the things he likes the most about Starfire are "the way you shoot starbolts, ... that you're brave, and the strongest girl ever."
  • Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (2012): Raphael, apparently. After getting the stuffing beat out of him by an alien warrior woman (who he later nicknames Mona Lisa), Raph is almost immediately smitten by her.
Michelangelo: You know she's bigger, stronger, and a better fighter than you, right?
Raphael: Exactly! (Beat) What a woman...
  • Total Drama:
    • Shawn falls for Jasmine in Pahkitew Island.
    • Ripper falls for Axel in the reboot.
  • In Total Drama Presents: The Ridonculous Race, Brody of the Surfers falls for MacArthur of the Cadets, MacArthur being one of the series' biggest Action Girls. He first falls for her after seeing her kick butt during one of the many challenges of the race.
  • TRON: Uprising: Beck develops a crush on Paige after she kicks his ass and it only gets stronger with each time she does it (though also because she's a good person beneath it all). She, for her part, falls for his normal self (besides an unacknowledged attraction to his rebel persona) after she witnesses him save people as a civilian.
  • The Venture Bros.:
    • Brock Samson. This indomitable muscular man is popular with the ladies, but the only women who really capture his interest are those who can match him in a fight.
    • Brock spends years pining over Molotov Cocktease and declares her "the only woman I ever loved." Molotov is also one of the only women who can completely beat the stuffing out of him.
    • When meeting fellow bodyguard Ginny, Brock is initially put off by her hot-and-cold approach to flirting. When they start brawling, he thoroughly enjoys it.
    • In "Hostile Makeover", Brock meets Warriana, an Expy of Wonder Woman. She loops him in her truth lasso and he blurts out his attraction, to her amusement.
Brock Samson: You're one hot momma! I like a big gal! ... I don't even care about the breast thing! I want to do you!
    • After that unflattering first impression, Brock remains smitten with Warriana but uncharacteristically Cannot Spit It Out. It seems the legendary Samson has met his match: a woman even he finds sexually intimidating. After an accidental dose of entheogenic "God gas" unlocks usually-hidden sincerity and eloquence, he marches up to Warriana and declares that it is her warrior spirit that he adores even more than her Amazonian physique. She is more than a little impressed: she carries him into her apartment with an Effortless Amazonian Lift and the promise to "tire him out."
  • In Wander over Yonder, after Lord Dominator is revealed to be a woman, Lord Hater is understandably surprised at first, but he ultimately ends up developing a crush on her.
