I can even start you off with some characters from other works who are similar to Touhou characters:
- Youmu has been compared to Danny Phantom. Both are half-ghosts with white hair who fight bad guys often (Youmu has been a playable character in 3 main-series games and 3 spin-offs) and are (or in Youmu's case, at least seem to be) in their teens.
- Yuyuko is often compared to Kirby, with both being cheerful Big Eaters with the color pink somewhere on their body (Yuyuko has pink hair and magenta eyes, and Kirby's body is entirely pink) and who are far deadlier than they look.
- Flandre is often compared to Marx due to their similar wings and the fact that both of them are Cute and Psycho.
- Mamizou has been compared to Mario due to the fact that most people outside of Japan only know what a tanuki is thanks to Super Mario Bros. 3's Tanooki Suit, so many Westerners associate tanuki with Mario.
- The franchise as a whole is often compared to Team Fortress 2, with both of them being PC games with Chromosome Casting, a heavy focus on hats, and the same general goal of "shoot your enemies" (though in different genres) and which have both become the source of many memes.
- Nitori specifically has been compared to Engineer/Dell Conagher due to them having the same profession and both being Gadgeteer Geniuses.

About ZUN not wanting the endings spoiled, does anyone have the source for this? I remember him saying it in the transcript of an interview, along with saying fans shouldn't do things like draw arrows on the screen pointing where to go (his way of avoiding walkthroughs, I suppose).

How come Counterpart Comparison only lists Touhou characters that are similar to each other? Isn't Counterpart Comparison usually used for characters from different franchises that are similar, not characters from the same franchise that are similar? At least include two separate categories: one for characters within the franchise who are similar, and one for characters from other works who are similar to Touhou characters.
