Should the original film appearances for tobey and Andrew go under “appearances” on their folders? For example should Spider-Man 1, 2 and 3 go under tobey’s page on his folder?
Now that No Way Home has come out, should the two live-action variants be moved to their characters' main pages? (Separated with different headings and folders)
Is what happening to him a case of Un-person or a case of Ret-Gone ?
Edited by IceX Hide / Show RepliesSo considering the post-credits scene in Venom: Let There Be Carnage and considering that the first Venom film revealed Into the Spider-Verse happened at the exact same time in a different universe, should there be a link to the Spider-Verse character page so both versions of Peter from that film will be considered Variants of the MCU version? Or am I overthinking things?
Hide / Show RepliesLet's wait for No Way Home to come out and see exactly how they're connected before making that decision.
Do we really need Unexplained Recovery? Spidey's recovery is explained, after all.
Hide / Show RepliesWhen this version of Spidey inevitably gets used in Sonys Universe Of Marvel Characters , should we get a separate character page for his appearances over there and set up a link between the two, maybe create a separate section on this page, or just treat the two as entirely separate versions altogether? I get that a lot depends on how Sony and Marvel are going to handle things, but I suggest we already consider the options to prevent an outright Edit War.
Hide / Show RepliesYou said it yourself, it depends on how Sony and Marvel do it. Too early to tell.
Look, I know that's the most recent poster image, but holy hell that picture is terrifying. Are we sure there isn't something better?
I should probably be doing something else with my life.Should we remove the Iron Man 2 references? It's only said via Word of Saint Paul, and as covered, Marvel can't say that or else they'll owe Sony a lot of money. As such, it's not actually official.
Would it be alright if I put folders here for Spider-Man's different suits, similar to how Iron Man has them? Maybe we could move Karen here too.
What do you think?
Hide / Show RepliesI guess you could put Karen. But in the case of Spider-Man's suits, so far it seems that they have the same abilities carrying over, as in the case of the Tony Suit and the Iron Spider with the only thing being that Iron Spider has extra arms.
So far there are four suits: Homemade, Tech, Iron Spider, Stealth. We could probably put a General, and as said, put Karen here.
Homemade The first suit, made by Spidey himself.
- Beta Outfit: It's a cheap outfit made by a teen with few resources, and has none of the advancements of Stark's suits.
- Cheap Costume: Literally a pair of sweatpants, a sweatshirt with a spider drawn on the front, and a pair of welding goggles under a ski mask.
- Mythology Gag: The suit heavily resembles the costume of Ben Reilly, the Scarlet Spider.
Tech The first suit Tony Stark gave him, following the Civil War.
- Awesome, but Impractical: The suit is incredibly advanced and has a number of gadgets, but due to Peter's unfamiliarity with the interface, this comes across as a hindrance as many times as it's actually helpful.
- Voice of the Legion: The suit has an "interrogation mode" that artificially deepens his voice, ala DCEU Batman. Unfortunately, it doesn't really work if the "victim" already knows his real voice.
Iron Spider The second suit Stark gave him during Infinity War.
- Composite Character: Takes influence from both the Iron Spider in the Civil War storyline, as well as the high-tech suit Peter wore◊ during Dan Slott's "Parker Industries" arc.
- Spider Limbs: The Iron Spider suit has these. They're mostly used for support rather than for actual combat in Infinity War, but in Endgame they're shown to be utterly deadly when the armor is in "Instant Kill Mode", skewering Thanos' monstrous soldiers.
Stealth S.H.I.E.L.D.-manufactured suit made for covert missions.
- Movie Superheroes Wear Black: Played entirely straight, and justified with this being a covert suit.
- Mythology Gag: The suit heavily resembles Spider-Man Noir.
Thoughts?
Edited by ThoughtComplexCan we have a better image for the Iron Spider suit? I mean, the current one doesn't even have the extra legs.
So this is very minor, but when is it believed that ASM took place as some people think it is 2012 while myself and another think it is 2013. ASM 2 is confirmed to happen in 2014 and since Peter is 17 in the first film it must logically be in 2013, plus there are no scenes that I can remember that confirm that there has been a two year time skip. I haven't seen ASM 2 in awhile, but I suppose you could argue that there was quick time skip after graduation which means that maybe the last half of ASM 2 is in early 2014 and he graduated in 2013 and that's if I'm remembering everything right. But is there any clear evidence of that?
