Dear gods is the translation rough. It's very bloody and gory,but gets props for WWII ace vs. dragon. Trouble is the enjoyment is lessened by my ignorance of the characters — I may have to read along with wikipedia at hand.
Was anyone reminded of The Hooded One when they saw the Black King?

What I've seen so far hasn't me impressed. I don't really know why, but Hellsing just had that kind of 'cool shit' vibe, that Drifters seems to try hard to replicate but just can't pull it off. Also, pretty much the only fun character so far is Nobunaga.

I like Toyohisa, he's like Alucard but more human so the Boring Invincible Hero trope is avoided.
The first few scenes aren't as impressive as Hellsing, yeah. I just get excited whenever Toyohisa does stuff. ^__^
Oh, and WWII ace pilot vs. dragon was pretty awesome.

This is pretty good thus far. Thou I'm pretty sure Darkest Of Days ran off this concept too, be it slightly different, and it reminds me a bit to much of Helsing. Isn't this suppose to be a different manga?

^ Yes, it's different. Other than every other character being a freaking Blood Knight, and the art style, it doesn't really remind me that much of Hellsing. For the first couple chapters I was irrationally annoyed that it wasn't more like Hellsing, actually.
