You know, I'm of the belief that Shizuka ended up growing up to be like Toru from My Hero Academia, where Achtung Baby makes her permanently invisible; never reverting to normal visibility. The only thing I'd believe she'd have control over as she grows up is the ability to make other people and objects invisible.

Orcus on His Throne will always be my pet peeve. You know, maybe the Wonder of U arc would have come across better if the translators didn't completely fuck up the big revelation that set up the entire final battle. Remember how "make him come to you" was mistranslated as "be made to come to him" for several chapters in a row?
So, Jojo Part 6: Orange Is The New Black is kind of amazing.
Jolyne's Stand stopping the bullet she didn't even know was coming badass
And Jotaro for all of his character flaws in Part 3 grew up to be a poetic, philosophical guy.
- "Josuke, it can be said that humans live by destroying. In the midst of that, your power is kinder than anything else."
- "To be able to communicate something to someone's heart is a wonderful thing, but sometimes remnants are left over. Those remnants are known as grudges."
I wish Jolyne, Giorno, and Josuke had a chance to meet.

Akira Toriyama (April 5 1955 - March 1, 2024).> be made to come to him
I'm sorry I can't stop giggling-
"Be the change you want to see in the world." My bf and I being the change: www.twitch.tv/lilyandfloatzel https://discord.gg/z7PmdTksVjI mean wonky translations seem to be a Jojo fandom thing so...
...Wait a minute, speaking of Shizuka. Is the only reason why sunglasses were incorporated into her design because her Stand name is Achtung Baby, and Bono?

Orcus on His Throne will always be my pet peeve.Well, I decided to go through with making my idea of what Shizuka grown up would be like.

Orcus on His Throne will always be my pet peeve.1. I hope she gets a name, too. Fandom has nicknamed her "Marina" and I'll always call her that, though.
2. I thought her sunglasses were a reference to The Invisible Man.
“Dude, sucking at something is the first step to being sorta good at something!” - Jake the DogWhat do you mean? Her name is Shizuka, that's what Joseph named her.
So, I decided to think about what could be considered the darkest JoJo part, and I have five candidates. What do you personally think is the darkest part? Part 1 for its Gothic Horror inspirations, Part 3 for the nagging fear that anyone could be an enemy, Part 5 for being Bloodier and Gorier, Part 6 for its overwhelming sense of helplessness, or Part 7 for its use of Realism-Induced Horror?

Orcus on His Throne will always be my pet peeve.Part 6 doesn't really get dark until near the end, and the ending is still a bittersweet victory (albeit VERY bitter).
I'd say the darkest Part is either 1 or 7. 1 because of its gothic setting and liberal use of Body Horror and 7 because of its exploring of more realistic themes and subject matter. 5 comes close, though.

Part I is the darkest part. From start to finish it's chock full of horror and tragedy. It also has the cruelest ending for a Jojo protagonist out of all of them. He gets murdered on his honeymoon right when he's about to start a new life with Erina.

Disgusted, but not surprisedYou know, with the themes of the story, you'd think that the Jojo dying at the end would become a trend after Jonathan, but nope. Joseph gets a fake-out (and another fake-out, and another...), and Jolyne dies but is then resurrected in a new body with a happier life, but no Jojo aside from Jonathan really dies and stays dead at the end of their Part.
Araki should break that with the next Part. Have Part 9 straight-up end with the Jojo dying. Do it, Araki. Hurt us.

At the very least, while it wasn't in his own part, Johnny got Killed Off for Real.
Orcus on His Throne will always be my pet peeve.Yeah, but the impact of that is blunted by having Part 8 take place so far in the future that Johnny being dead was already expected, at least from old age.

While part 3 isn't very scary mainly due to Jotaro specifically being made to be like Clint Eastwood, one of the things I like about SC is how a lot of the tarot card enemy stands are based around classic horror and slasher archetypes like living dolls, grudges, a flesh eating blob that can disguise itself as allies, monsters in a mirror, a ghost town on a burial ground, zombies (from a monkey paw wish), dream monsters, an evil car etc. Which makes it all the more cathartic when the crusaders destroy them.

So, thinking about it. Do we have any sort of equivalent in the SBRverse to DIO in regards of how much their antagonism influences the overall story? Diego doesn't count, because he ultimately ended up aiding the heroes in trying to defeat Valentine before the train killed him, and Alternate Diego doesn't count, because he got Worfed in the story arc he was introduced in. Maybe the Rock Curse, but it wasn't present in Part 7, we don't know how Rina contracted it, and Tooru ultimately removed it, so it's likely not coming back for Part 9.
Orcus on His Throne will always be my pet peeve.Probably Jesus, since his body being brought to Japan was a big part of Jojolion's backstory.
Chapter 1 cover for the Hol/Josuke spin-off.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."Holy shit, Boingo's gonna be in it.
I mean, that makes some sense.
So, who's the woman?
Orcus on His Throne will always be my pet peeve....I think it's Aya Tsuji? The Cinderella lady. She's got the brown hair, the ponytail, the bangs, a kinda similar facial structure. Her shirt's different, but not that different. The earring isn't right, though...

Josuke was 4 years old when SC took place so Boingo has to be at least in his 20s by the time diu took place. lol does he still looks like that in his 20s? Or is that a flashback

And at the very least... can she get a name?
