There's a lot of misinformation about goths, though. Most "goth characters" aren't even goth; they're, at most, darkly inclined.
I wanted to be goth for years because of the mainstream perception. But then I looked into the subculture and realized I actually dislike goth music. You can dress stereotypically goth without being goth.
