x3 The angle you're missing here is the fact that everyone has opinions, and frequently diverging ones.

If you don't put a hard limit on what gets in or not, the whole thing quickly goes out of control and Flame Wars start popping up everywhere.

As it once did, back when Mary Sue and its variations were still allowed.

Not sure why that's hard to understand. I think this wiki would be better off without it, just troping what happens inside a work

But the wiki isn't just about the tropes in a work, but also about the relationship between the audience and the work.

You might as well cut out the Awesome and Funny and Tear Jerker pages, and the wiki would be poorer for it.

I wish the Tear Jerker pages were blue. It's weird seeing Sugar Wiki in pink and Nightmare Fuel in red, but Tear Jerker doesn't have an original theme.

Thinking of generic names: despite Japan naming every Brazilian character of theirs "Carlos", around where I live the most common names are "Francisco" and "Maria".

And they're always compound names.

I've been converting one of my OC to fit into the Arknights setting, but the more I go about it, the more I feel like it's a bad idea, and I can't really tell why.

Man, Carlos is very/a bit Spanish.

Tends to happen. Try to incorporate it a bit more, then see again.

To the outside world Latin America is not a diverse group of countries that happen to share a cultural background (+ Brazil), it's an amorphous blob of land where everyone's behaving suspiciously Mexican and has brown skin.

I hate those stereotypes, being a Mexican myself. All Latin American countries are severely different from one another and that's what makes it beautiful

On the whole you get more responsibilites, but you also get a lot more freedom. Plus more life experience means you're a little wiser and slightly less likely to do dumb shit.
