And anyway, One Manga already got zapped, didn't it? Even if it wasn't by Google. (Of course, that still means we have all those now-dead links to deal with....)
Direct-linking to a single page would probably fall under Fair Use (to my understanding of it, anyway), but linking to sites that have the entire chapters up is probably not the best idea.
And if Google's on the site about "mature/sexual" content, then that's not even the problem, anyway.

pages for R-Rated/NC-17 movies might possibly belong behind the wall. Especially Clerks, The Big Lebowski and any other "profane" film that removing offending quotes isn't an option.
Stomping on your fingers as you're clinging on to the abyssImmortality Bisexuality, possibly?
DumboPhilip José Farmer is currently NSFG. I think it could be made SFG by removing an explicit description of a squicky sex act. The example clearly demonstrates why PJF had trouble getting published in the early days. We could lose the details — but I don't get the tradeoff: what, if any, is the cost of moving a page behind the curtain? Is it better to make pages SFG if we can?

"Is it better to make pages SFG if we can?"
I think so, especially when the NSFW parts are only minor to a work.
I'm on the internet. My arguments are invalid.^^ The only thing having a page behind the curtain does is protect people who might not want to take a chance of being offended from the possibility the they'll be offended by it. Which is all Google is asking for — a warning and a way for people to not see those pages unexpectedly. There's nothing inherently good or bad about which side of the curtain any given page is on.
^ Yes. Yes! YES.
If all it takes is changing a couple of words that aren't vital (so, not if they're part of a quote, or something like that) or rewriting or trimming an example to do away with an unnecessary and lovingly detailed description of sex or violence, please do so. (The PJF example Camacna is talking about is necessary.) And if it's on a page that's already marked (the button in the sidebar will have a red "!" if that's the case,) hit the "Flag this page" button and explain that it's been cleaned up in the "reason" box. That would be wonderful.

I'm on the internet. My arguments are invalid.Does Google care about violence? Becasue if they do, then these tropes need to be moved:
- Bloody Tropes
- Beat Still, My Heart
- And Show It to You
- Off with His Head!
- Decapitation Presentation
- Gorn
- Bloodier and Gorier
- Family-Unfriendly Violence
- Family-Unfriendly Death
- Cruel and Unusual Death
Also, Religion of Evil maybe?

^Not actually my favorite animal.^ Even if google doesn't care, it would be amazingly nonsensical to leave pages with "Family Unfriendly" in their title on the family friendly part of the site.
Articles on the NSFG side will make less money if we get Google back, so there is a reason not to quarantine any more of them than is really necessary.
Goal: Clear, Concise and WittyWhat's the rule on works pages that don't actually contain anything that's necessarily considered mega-adult but make heavy references to tropes that have been placed on the other side of the curtain? For example, Final Fantasy Unlimited was assigned a rating of TV-PG-V, but includes references to tropes such as BFG, Boobs Of Steel and Shower Scene amongst others, all of which are behind the curtain.
“I just think that's really shady." "Shady?!" - Stephanie & Chad, The Amazing Race 17Mentioning them is not an issue per se. Going into loving detail about them is.
"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"I don't think Boobs Of Steel is, itself, a sexual trope. It does, however, involve boobs.
Fight smart, not fair.Might be nice if we can rewrite BFG and BFB so they don't use profanity, so they can stay on the good side.
"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"But how does one rewrite that, though? "Uh, that word, yeah, you know the one we mean..."
“I just think that's really shady." "Shady?!" - Stephanie & Chad, The Amazing Race 17Big freaking sword. Big freaking gun.
You got some dirt on you. Here's some more! What about music/band names?
Anal Cunt is pretty in-your-face (if you will pardon that...ahem...rather unfortunate expression).
"Might be nice if we can rewrite BFG and BFB so they don't use profanity, so they can stay on the good side."
How about replacing the first lines with "Some like to claim it stands for "Big Fun X", but we all know better."?

I'm on the internet. My arguments are invalid.Big Freaking Gun works well.
What's precedent ever done for us?It's the description, not the redirects.
I'm on the internet. My arguments are invalid. The captions for Hellhound and Everything's Even Worse with Sharks probably need to be changed because of the profanity.
I would do it myself, but I can't think of a decent one for Hellhound, and I already tried to change Everything's Even Worse with Sharks caption recently (for a different reason), but someone changed it back.
Edit: Also, is Google satisfied with just censoring profanity? Like instead of saying fuck, saying f*** or f*ck? Also, are they Ok with "Badass"?

^Not actually my favorite animal.I took the sharks one down and changed the Hellhound one. If someone puts them back I'll admin-comment the page to leave them off.
...if you don’t love you’re dead, and if you do, they’ll kill you for it.Might add a SFG caption to Everything's Even Worse with Sharks if that's okay.

You got some dirt on you. Here's some more!Re: The BF Whatever articles, doesn't it only work if you remove all the instances of profanity from the page? Sure, you can censor the first instance, but then there's still something like a baker's dozen f-bombs later on in the article.
