Huh so we are getting Unicron after all.

I think Scourage here seems like he's taking from Armada trilogy's sideways as Unicron's herald /voice

This is definitely upping the action quotient after Bumblebee's more simple start.

We'll see how it goes.

I'm hoping it's good but def not seeing the emotional core that made Bumblebee a really good movie. Like, the best parts of Bumblebee werent the autobot decepticon plot.

At least it looks better shot than the bayfilms.

Cast list has been announced for the new animated Transformers film:

Interesting choices there (especially with Hemsworth saying he'd be taking a break from acting a while back due to...I can't remember what, but something to do with his physical health).

I wouldn't have expected him and Johansen together in a project like this.

And he's Optimus Prime of all characters. Be interesting to see if he can do a good Prime voice.

Being an animated film, I think the dialogue may have already been recorded awhile ago. Animation takes a long time, and usually you do need to have at least a half-completed voice track to sync the animation to.

Okay, real talk: who had to triple-check to make sure this was legit? Because I did not see any of this coming.

We have 2 female Transformers in Rise of the Beasts. Whoever was it on the Michael Bay movies that said female robots wouldn't work can suck it.

Also that casting is very Hollywood picks

It's technically down from Bumblebee who had 3 female transformers (Along with 2 major human women character)

Arcee in the beginning and Shatter for the rest of the film, but who was the third one in Bumblebee?

...all due respect, that cast list sounds like it was put together by a 12-year-old.

My inability to count correctly :-P

I doubt most 12 years old can tell who Brian Tyree Henry is.

Guy from the original run of Book of Mormon on Broadway (which 12 years olds would be 0 at the time it ran), and Miles Morales' dad voice in the Spider Verse films.

Oh and main lead in Atlanta which I've never seen.

Just found out Coronation Starscream is just a reissue with more accessories. That's a shame.

It also has an extra joint in each hand. I think there's another minor update from the base mold, but I haven't noticed it. The hands are very noticeable, though.

Is Diatron 5 part of the Transformers series?

Never seen Hemsworth or Johnson voice act.

But Keegan-Michael Key, Jon Hamm, Laurence Fishburne are all quite good. So I uh don't mind.

You mean Scarlett Johansson? She's notably done voice-acting as Mindy in The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie (including the tie-in game).

Hemsworth reprised Thor in What If…? (2021), and he one of our the better transitions to voice acting on the series compared to some other reprises.

I know the The Super Mario Bros. Movie reenergized pushback against Celebrity Voice Actors, but it also seems myopic to immediately discredit any celebrity that's doing VA work.

Evidently with Mario, it seems to general audience don't seem to mind as much as we do.

The Mario pushback is kind of funny. As when the actual film came out. It seems most people got won over with even Pratt considered decent.
