During the investigation of recent hollers in the Complete Monster thread, it's become apparent to the staff that an insular, unfriendly culture has evolved in the Complete Monster and Magnificent Bastard threads that is causing problems.
Specific issues include:
- Overzealous hollers on tropers who come into the threads without being familiar with all the rules and traditions of the tropes. And when they are familiar with said rules and traditions, they get accused (with little evidence) of being ban evaders.
- A few tropers in the thread habitually engage in snotty, impolite mini-modding. There are also regular complaints about excessive, offtopic "socializing" posts.
- Many many thread regulars barely post/edit anywhere else, making the threads look like they are divorced from the rest of TV Tropes.
- Following that, there are often complaints about the threads and their regulars violating wiki rules, such as on indexing, crosswicking, example context and example categorization. Some folks are working on resolving the issues, but...
- Often moderator action against thread regulars leads to a lot of participants suddenly showing up in the moderation threads to protest and speak on their behalf, like a clique.
It is not a super high level problem, but it has been going on for years and we cannot ignore it any longer. There will be a thread in Wiki Talk
to discuss the problem; in the meantime there is a moratorium on further Complete Monster and Magnificent Bastard example discussion until we have gotten this sorted out.

Try to present these as objectively as possible by presenting any evidence that may support or refute the mitigating factors.
Do they meet the Heinousness Standard?
Here you compare the actions of the Candidate to other character actions in the story in order to determine if they stand out or not. Remember that all characters, not just other villains, contribute to the Heinousness Standard
Final Verdict?
Simply state whether or not you think the character counts or not.

I have a potential cut
God from Austin DR's story In Heaven.
In Heaven (archive) by Austin DR: God, in a desire to be worshipped, created angels, but it wasn't enough, so he created humanity. When a part of the angels, led by Satan, rebelled against him, God punished them by turning a third of them into his throne, while they were fully conscious and in eternal suffering. When greeting the deceased reverend, God revealed that he was actually all the deities humanity ever believed in, mocked him for his faith in him, and showed him his dead loved ones, whose souls were robbed of personality and free will alongside anyone who ever believed in God, and even some non-religious people, so that they could be God's perfect followers. God then turned the reverend into one of his many slaves.
Having just read the story, there doesn't seem to be much plot outside of: 'Reverend dies, goes to Heaven, and God turns out to be evil'.

Here are my writeups for Fantastic Four (if anyone wants to read the effort posts, in case I miss a particularly nasty crime, they are here). Adding to drafts; I'm very rusty (I think the last writeup I did was the Shoggy Big Bad) and would appreciate help / feedback.

- "To Battle The Living Planet": Ego is the titular Living Planet and a galactic menace characterised by extreme pettiness and selfishness, to the extent. Confronting Galactus - who considered Ego an insane threat to the wider galaxy - and fighting him to a stalemate, Ego agreed to a ceasefire if the former provided him with thrusters to faster traverse the galaxy, secretly fixing them to spread death and destruction as he saw fit. Coming to Earth, Ego mistakenly assumes it is under Galactus's protection and causes multiple natural disasters on its surface, rendering Thor comatose when he attempts to intervene and later attempting to drown the Fantastic Four when they intervene as "vengeance" against his sworn enemy. A being so dangerous he forced Galactus, Thor and the Fantastic Four to ally with one another, Ego's only reaction to the Devourer's arrival was sadistic pleasure at finishing what he started.
- Terrax initially appears to be merely the Jerkass replacement as Galactus's herald once Silver Surfer defects to Earth, but reveals himself to be considerably worse. Starting as the bloodthirsty tyrant Tyros, with an all-but-stated harem and a predilection for personally executing prisoners, he willingly sells out his planet and race - including his own family - to Galactus in exchange for the Power Cosmic, laughing and grinning as the destruction ensued. In "When Calls Galactus", Terrax grows envious of his master's power, longing to be a king once more, and deceives him into eating the poisonous planet Antos in an assassination attempt, leaving him near-death; he then travels to Earth and holds the entirety of Manhattan hostage, forcing the Fantastic Four to fight and kill Galactus with the threat of suffocating the entire island if they refuse. When this takes too long, he storms Galactus's ship in a final assassination attempt.

Also, just wanted to clarify that "Through the Trees" wasn't the Seed Eater's original story; it was this site, and "Through the Trees" was a spinoff of sorts. I don't know if that factors into anyone's decision (including my own), but figured we might as well be thorough and accurate.

Speaking of Creepypastas, I have another cut, specifically Abby's father from "My Father was a Serial Killer". Just like my previous cut, Mrs. Paterson, there's little substantial plot here, where it's missing both unique characterization and a well-structured plot, aside from saying "Abby's father is evil." In the story, everyone except for Abby's father has zero characterization, where they're satellite characters to be bullied by the father and don't do anything besides that. Heck, they have less character than the main protagonist from the the story with Mrs. Paterson. At least the protagonist contributed to the downfall of Mrs. Paterson. Here, the family members are informed of the father's arrest and that's that. Abby's father has some unique characterization in the fact that he is a religious fanatic, but this feels like a situation similar to Hatred, where the main character is characterized and no one else is.
As for plot structure, it's just a description of Abby's house life, where the father is abusive, gets arrested, the police investigate the full extent of his crimes and "The End." There's no climax, no rising action, and barely any conclusion. As a result, the story becomes even less substantial and, combined with the lack of characterization for everyone but the father, I think the plot doesn't have enough content behind it to be considered substantial, so I believe that the father should be cut. What do you guys think?

Hey, so I've got a question. I was reading the RWBY Fan Fic Relic Of The Future and encountered a possible candidate called Jax Asturias. I thought he was an original character, but I did some reading on the wikis and discovered that he originally came from a novel called RWBY: Before the Dawn, and I believe he counts there too. So, I've got two questions:
1. Does anyone know if he's ever been suggested before?
2. If he hasn't, can I EP both versions of the character at once, or should I do it one at a time?
