• The Badass in Charge index has been merged with Authority Tropes because the former was being misused as a trope. Move wicks for Badass in Charge to a fitting Authority Trope if possible, or remove it if there isn't a more fitting trope.

I agree with renaming, but I'm wondering if it's possible to go with a name that doesn't have the word "badass" in it due to all the trouble we've had with Badass Tropes in the past.

I'm currently tired (plus I was out of town earlier, which is why I wasn't online until the past hour), so I can't currently think of a name, so I'll hold off on trying to think of a suggestion for now.

Not sure if we need a specific index for badass leaders to begin with so I am wondering if we can just merge this index with Authority Tropes.

I feel like that's actually a better idea, so I'll change my vote to merging with Authority Tropes. That still means less traces of Badass Tropes on the wiki.

I like the merge with Authority Tropes for addressing redundancy, but I don't think it fixes the issue of "people keep linking to this incorrectly because the name seems like a trope," since merges keep the Wiki Name intact. It was already an index when all the improper linking happened, so merging with another index isn't really going to change anything.

Honestly? Make it a red link/cut the page and move any tropes not on Authority Tropes there.

That reminds me of a question I've had for a while. People readding wicks to disambiguated pages is a longstanding problem that requires constant maintenance to get rid of those new wicks. Why do we still disambiguate instead of doing what we did with Foe Yay- cutting with a cut reason formatted to create a functional disambig page, so that it creates a visible redlink that will discourage new wicks, while still serving the function of a disambig page?

Well, Foe Yay was a special case because it had already been a disambig for a decade but the TRS botched it so badly that nobody had any clue. We don't typically want a "burn and salt" approach.

I guess what I'm asking is why we don't want that- it functions exactly the same as any other disambig page, except it shows up as a redlink to discourage linking to it. Why don't we want that for any other disambig pages?

I am not opposed to cutting the page but discussion on how we do disambigs should go in the general TRS discussion thread.
